BALDWIN -- Gerald (Jerry) Hubert Baldwin, 83, passed away suddenly on December 28, 2010. Gerald was born November 24, 1927 to William and Martha Baldwin in Livonia, Missouri. Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1946 until his retirement as Lieutenant Colonel in 1970, including the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, and spending time at their cabin. He was a member of Grace Church. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lore; sons, Stephen and wife, Vickie; Ralph and wife, Gloria; and daughter, Kathy and husband, Steve. Jerry was a devoted family man, affectionately known as Opa to his grandchildren, Becky and husband, Jon, Paul and wife, Amanda, Melissa and husband, Greg, Brian, Christopher, Craig and wife, Eliya, Stephanie and husband, Christopher, and Katrina and husband, Ramon; and great-grandchildren, Josiah, Makayla, Dominic, and Levi; He is also survived by four brothers. A Celebration of his life will be held Friday, January 7, 2011, at 10:30 a.m., at French ~ Wyoming Chapel. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. GARDUNO -- Guadalupe "Lupe" Garduno began a new chapter of life on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 after a ten year valiant struggle with Parkinson's disease. He was born June 9, 1936 in Chaperito, New Mexico. Guadalupe honorably and proudly served his country in the US Army and retired after 24 years. He received two Bronze Medals for courageous acts during the Vietnam conflict. During his military career, Guadalupe traveled extensively and met his lovely wife Ursula while stationed in Germany; they recently celebrated 53 years of marriage. In addition to his devoted wife Ursula; he is survived by his brothers, Henry (Celeste), Carlos (Alice), John (Robin), Martin and Lee (Robin); his sisters, Adeline (Augustine), Rose (Bonnie) and Angie (Jeff); his children, Helene Dobbins (Joseph), James and Thomas (Catherine), and Katherina Garduno; his grandchildren, Robert (Chelsea), Annette, Sierra, Christopher, Joseph (Ashley), Benjamin, Rebecca, Sean, Alexandra and Christopher; his great-grandchildren, Christiana, Angelina and Parker Ann; his adopted mother, Rosine Garduno; his extended family members and countless friends the world over. Guadalupe loved to return to his beloved Chaperito where as a boy he learned to fish and hunt. He enjoyed numerous hunting and fishing trips with his sons and friends, Jesse, Andrew, Robert and Harold. Guadalupe is preceded in death by his mother Eugenia Montano, his adopted father, Adolpho Garduno, his mother-in-law, Helene Halberstadt, sister-in-law, Gertrud Halberstadt and his son-in-law, Marty Metoyer. A Celebration of Life service will be at Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., at French ~ Wyoming Chapel. Inurnment will be at 3:00 pm at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM. GUINN -- Ted Guinn, profesor emeritus of UNM, died December 24, 2010. His wife, Thora Guinn, and his daughter, Nancy Guinn, are thankful for the good life they enjoyed together. Ted was proud of his daughter; and his granddaughter, Shannon Guinn-Collins. Ted had degrees in Anthropology, Sociology, and Mathematics. He served in the Navy during WWII. After his retirement from UNM, He started a success wine distribution company, Vintage Wines. In later years he wa a volunteer at te Natural History Museum and at The Art Museum doing walking tours. Ted will be missed.

REBARCHIK -- Betty Ann, 76, a resident of Albuquerque, passed on December 27, 2010. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Frank; five children; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her four siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Betty; and brother Wesley. Betty Ann had an everlasting love and cared for everyone; she was known and loved by many. ROMERO -- Susana M. Romero went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on December 27, 2010. She was born February 16, 1920, in Canjilon, NM, to Juan A. and Cleotilde Madrid (Poppy and Nana). Susana was preceded in death by brother, Juan and sisters Rosalia, Ursula, Ereme, Sorida and Cordila. She was the last surviving child. Susana is survived by her husband of 61 years, Arturo Romero; daughters, Betty Bateman, from Las Vegas, NV, Roberta Montoya and husband Reynaldo Montoya, from Bernalillo, NM, and Jean Brandt, from Albuquerque; brother-in-law, Tony Lopez from Utah, Higinio Romero and wife Elizida from Albuquerque, NM; sister-in-law, Estema Madrid from Albuquerque, NM, Fransicita (Kika) Lopez from El Rito NM; She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Teresa Serrano, Tammy and husband Jesse Castaneda, Jeff Montoya, Renee Montoya, Penny Montoya, Dominic and wife Virginia Montoya, Jason and wife Jackie Romero and Brandi and husband Jason Grant; Susana also has 22 great- grandchildren; seven great - great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. SCOTT -- Donna Scott, 78, a native to Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away the evening of Sunday, December 26, 2010. She is survived by her husband, Marion; her daughter, Elsie; son, Daniel; grandson, Zac; brother, Bill Hill; nieces, Dana Hill, Susan Kaplan and her sons Matthew and Casey. Donna loved her native land and was an avid historian of New Mexico cultures. She loved to travel especially to Hawaii and Disneyland, which she considered her Meccas. Donna, a graduate of St Vincent's Academy in 1949, contributed her continued love for the theatre and zest for learning to the Sisters of St Vincent's. Her kindness and generosity helped many individuals in their time of need throughout her years in Albuquerque. Donna supported many charities in her life including Save the Children, The Arthritis Foundation, and the Smithsonian Museum. She will be missed deeply by those she touched in some way. As her son put it, "We have lost a library" in the vast knowledge she held. A special thanks to the angels who helped her at the end of her life. SMITH -- Moveline L. Smith, age 91, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on December 28, 2010. Moveline enjoyed playing golf; she golfed around the world and had 3 holes-in-one at 4HCC. She was a member of the Albuquerque Country Club, where she was very actively involved. She enjoyed her volunteer work at Meals on Wheels and All Faiths Receiving Home. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Smith; parents, John and Bessie Fulcher; three brothers, Johnny Lee Fulcher, Von Fulcher, Wiley "Ricky" Fulcher; one sister, Elvie McCarter.
