Gerald (Jerry) Hubert Baldwin, 83, passed away suddenly on December 28, 2010. Gerald was born November 24, 1927 to William and Martha Baldwin in Livonia, Missouri. Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1946 until his retirement as Lieutenant Colonel in 1970, including the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, and spending time at their cabin. He was a member of Grace Church. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lore; sons, Stephen and wife, Vickie; Ralph and wife, Gloria; and daughter, Kathy and husband, Steve. Jerry was a devoted family man, affectionately known as Opa to his grandchildren, Becky and husband, Jon, Paul and wife, Amanda, Melissa and husband, Greg, Brian, Christopher, Craig and wife, Eliya, Stephanie and husband, Christopher, and Katrina and husband, Ramon; and great-grandchildren, Josiah, Makayla, Dominic, and Levi; He is also survived by four brothers. A Celebration of his life will be held Friday, January 7, 2011, at 10:30 a.m., at French ~ Wyoming Chapel. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
