BALDRIDGE -- MARJORIE Born February 24, 1929 to Henry and Wilma Devine in Zanesville, Ohio and current resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on December 18, 2011, after complications from pneumonia, at Presbyterian Hospital with her granddaughters at her side. Marjorie is survived by her granddaughters Alicia Webb and husband Jason Webb and Rachel Singer and husband Jason Singer; her great-grandchildren Shelby Webb and Killian Webb; all of Albuquerque; also her sister Gloria King of Bloomfield, NM; nieces Susan King and husband Charles Hartnett of Bloomfield, NM and Linda Hollingsworth and husband Charles Hollingsworth of Albuquerque, NM; and daughter Pat W. BRANTLEY -- CLEO LARKIN Retired USAF MSgt, passed away at age 92 on 6 December 2011. His military service covered 32 years, with time in Germany, Korea and Vietnam. The family was stationed mostly in the western US, but also lived in Madrid, Spain on an overseas tour. Born 23 January 1919, Cleo grew up in McCalla, Alabama, with eight brothers and sisters. He was practical man, skilled in carpentry, and rarely without a pocket knife, string and electrical tape. After his retirement in Albuquerque in 1974, he enjoyed fishing and camping in northern NM and had a strong lifelong connection with the natural world. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Mary Dorothy "Dot"; daughter Sandra; sister Maggie Colvard of McCalla; numerous nieces and nephews and their children. A Memorial is planned for 23 January 2012 at 10:30am at Brookdale Place, 300 Valencia SE, Albuquerque, where Cleo spent his last four years. Cleo's ashes will be buried at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. The family thanks Brookdale Place, Hospice de la Luz, ElderCare Solutions and French Mortuary for their valuable support during this difficult time.

CAPO -- JAMES (JIM) Age 82, passed away peacefully December 16, 2011. He was born in Beaumont, TX, on February 25, 1929. At the time of his death he was a resident of Rio Rancho, NM. He co-owned Capo's Truck and Auto Parts until his retirement in 1993. After his retirement he enjoyed traveling around the country in his motorhome. He spent a great deal of his time in Texas, living there until recently when he decided to come home to New Mexico to spend time with his family here. He fought a valiant battle with lung cancer. Jim is survived by his wife Ida Lou; son Butch Capo (Sandy Blalock); and his step-son Ricci Lortz; grandsons Robert Capo, Bill Blalock (Michelle Gallegos) and Robert Lortz; granddaughters Kimberly Scribner, Ricci Lortz, Rocci Lortz and Shawnna Valenzuela; his sister Marie Fox and her husband Roy; his sister-in-law Glenn Capo; great-grandkids Beau, Kelsi and Shelby Scribner, Hunter and Hayden Blalock; and numerous other great-grandkids, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Sam and Frances Capo; his first wife Joe Anne; and his brother Coley Capo. As per his request Jim will be cremated. A Memorial service and celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, December 27th at 11:00 am at the Rio Vista Church, 8701 Golf Course NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114. DURAN -- PAUL P. "RANGO" Age 90, a resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, December 22, 2011 at home, surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He is survived by daughters, Paulina Duran, Monica Bodle, and Diana Day, all of Albuquerque, NM; two sons, Walter Duran of Oregon and Larry Duran of New York. Paul is also survived by one sister, Loria Maxwell of Wisconsin; by four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Paul Duran was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anita; one grandson, Jason; father, Selso G. Duran; mother, Monica Duran; and his three brothers. He was a member of and served as an usher for Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Paul served his country proudly for the United States Army during WWII. He was a Justice of the Peace for Bernalillo County and a Bailiff for the Bernalillo District Court system and also worked for the United States Postal service, as a Letter Carrier. Rosary will be recited Friday, December 23, 2011, 7:00 p.m. at French Lomas Chapel. FAY -- RUSSELL G. Born Nov. 17, 1941 and passed away Dec. 13, 2011. Russell was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Helen Fay; his brother, Gavin Fay; daughter, Cindy Fay; two grandchildren, Neissa and Billy Ortiz. GONZALEZ -- HECTOR ALONSO Was born in Albuquerque, NM and passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at the age of 19. Hector graduated from Albuquerque High School and was currently a student at Central New Mexico Community College. He greatly enjoyed being a mariachi trumpet player. He is survived by his parents, Hector and Rocio Gonzalez; sister, Corina Gonzalez; brother, Omar Gonzalez; grandmothers, Ramona Gonzalez and Maria M. Rodriguez; grandfather, Jose Rodriguez; as well as many family members and friends who love him dearly and will miss him. Services will be held at Holy family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW, on Saturday, December 24, 2011. The Rosary will be recited at 8:30am. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00am. GRAY -- STEVEN GERALD Steve was born March 25, 1961 in Fairbanks, AK and passed away on December 20, 2011 in Albuquerque at the age of 50. He is survived by his children, Kaleigh Ann Gray and Jeremy Reed and his wife, Stacy and their two daughters, Madison and Destiny; his parents, Troy and Dianne Gray; his brother, Scott and his wife, Chrisann all of Albuquerque; his sister, Tamara Berft and her husband, Greg of Seattle, WA; he also leaves three nephews and two nieces, Morgen McBrayer, Cory and Tara Gray and Zac and Marley Berft; his grandmother, Effie Gray; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Steve worked many years as an electrical contractor. Steve never met a stranger and was knowledgeable on many subjects. He loved music of all kinds. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was a devoted Cowboy's fan. Steve loved life and lived it to the fullest. A Memorial Service to celebrate Steve's life will be held at New Beginnings Church at 3601 Montgomery Blvd. NE 87109 at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 23, 2011. MUNIZ -- JOE F. Age 89, passed away on December 17, 2011 in Albuquerque, NM, where he lived for the past seven years. Born March 19, 1922, in Logan, NM, Joe was a resident of Las Vegas, NV for more than 20 years, where he was a member of the Eagles Club. Joe worked with the CCC, and was a WWII US Army veteran. He also lived in Tucumcari, NM, and Los Angeles, CA. Joe was preceded in death by two sons, Joe Frank and Ernest; one daughter, Joanne; and one grandson, Randell; as well as two brothers and four sisters. He is survived by his brother, Larry Muniz, of Denver; four sons Jacob, Guerneville, CA., Robert (Nancy), Las Vegas, NV, Edward, Atlanta, GA, and James; and two daughters Connie Marquez (Ray) and Mary Louise Vigil (James). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. SIMMONS -- BYRD P. Passed away at the age of 88 on Tuesday, December 20, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Richard L. Simmons. She is survived by her son: Richard E. Simmons and wife Deborah; daughters: Melanie Bowley and Dana, Deborah (Debbie) Wesbrook and John (Joe); eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
