ALEXANDER -- Thelma Katrina Alexander, 100, resident of Albuquerque since 1946, went to be with the Lord Friday, May 8, 2009. She is survived by son, Connie Alexander (a.k.a. Rip) of Albuquerque; daughter, Yvonne Griffin and husband, Bob of Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Gregg Alexander and wife, Christie of Wasilla, Alaska, Amy May and husband, Richard of Denver, CO, Lynn Alexander of Coeur d'Alene, ID, Annelle Griffin, Eric Griffin and wife, Lisa, and Stewart Griffin all of Orlando, FL; great-grandchildren, Austin and Brady Alexander, Will and Rachel May, Lily and Mae Alexander, Ben, Jake and Evan Griffin, and Kayla and Kyle Griffin; and other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, W. C. Alexander in 1978; her parents; and brothers and sisters. On her 100th birthday, January 22nd, Mayor Martin Chavez proclaimed it Thelma Katrina Alexander Day in the City of Albuquerque. Governor Bill Richardson sent a personal letter commending her artistic contributions, and congratulations for building a new home at the age of 77. Thelma was born in 1909, has lived in eleven decades and has seen progress from open cockpit airplanes to the International Space Station. She experienced growing up in Texas oilfields, farms, and cities, experienced the Roaring Twenties, the Great Depression, and six U.S. wars. She has succeeded in being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, homemaker, and culinary expert. With her husband, W.C., they owned and operated a successful grocery and market in Texas. Thelma has hand sewn a patchwork quilt and has painted an oil painting for each of her children and grandchildren. She and her husband were prize winning gardeners. Thelma gave thanks to God for her 100 blessed years on earth. Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 16, 2009, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. ARCHIBEQUE -- Frank Archibeque, 82, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM, went home to be with our Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 9, 2009. Frank is predeceased by his parents; Francisco "Frank" and Calota (DeLao) Archibeque, the mother of his children; Cecilia Priscilla Archibeque, and his second wife Cora Archibeque. He is survived by children; Clyde Archibeque and wife Fran, Julie Archibeque-Guerra and husband Rito Guerra and Frank A. Archibeque and wife Bertha, nephew Ronnie Gonzales, niece Mary Lou Calderon and husband Adrian, seven grandchildren; Cecilia Acuna and husband Rudy, Marie Archibeque and fiance Phillip Sanchez, Andrea Medina and husband Elmer, Andy Castellano, Dominic Guerra, Francisco Archibeque, Estrella Rivera and husband Alex, and five great-grandchildren; Elias, Carlos, Tyler, Evan and Angelina. Frank was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church and a parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church where he served for many years as an usher and in the Holy Name Society. He served his country courageously in the Navy, Submarine Service, during WWII and the Korean War, afterwards he worked as a Journeyman Machinist for the Santa Fe Railroad for over 46years, and was an active member of the American Legion Post 72 when it was located at 5th and Hazeldine. He enjoyed gardening and cooking for his friends and family which at times seemed to include all 400 plus members of the American Legion (4th of July picnics). Frank was raised in the house his father built and lived there his entire life. Frank will be dearly missed by all. A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2009 beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the 8th Street Chapel, Garcia Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m., on Thursday, May 14, 2009, at the 8th Street Chapel of Garcia Mortuary, and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday, May 15, 2009, with interment following at Mt. BARROS -- Ricardo R. Barros, 62, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque passed away on May 9, 2009 with his family at his side. Mr. Barros is survived by his daughter, Gabriela Barros; his mother, Mrs. Carolina Barros; one sister, Lorraine Quirino; two brothers, Jerry Barros and Tony Barros; three nieces, Sonia Barros, Serafina Barros, and Brianna Apodaca; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Mr. Barros was preceded in death by his father, Epi. Mr. Barros was a member of the Catholic Church. BLACK -- Danielle J. Black "Dani" 69, of Mountianair, New Mexico passed away on May 10, 2009. Dear mother of Jodi and Donee (Lee). She enjoyed dancing, crafts, reading, helping the disabled veterans, the homeless and her great friends. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all. BRENNAN -- Patricia M. Brennan, 86, passed away Friday, May 8, 2009, at a Boise hospital of natural causes. Memorial Services will be held at Old Fort Myer Chapel, Arlington, Virginia in August. Burial with full military honors will follow at Arlington National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest along side her husband, George Brennan. Local arrangements are under the direction of Alden-Waggoner Funeral Home, Boise. Patricia Marguerite Sheehan was born January 31, 1923 to Frank and Loretta Sheahan at Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was raised and educated in that area, graduating North High in 1941. Shortly after, she enlisted in the Navy, completed basic training in Norman, Oklahoma and served in Chicago at Navy Pier as a Yeoman Second Class. It was during this time that she met a handsome Army Air Corps glider pilot, George Brennan. They were married on June 16, 1945 and enjoyed 57 years of marriage until his passing in 2002. Mom was above all a devoted wife and mother who took great joy and pride in participating, along with her husband, in their children's activities. While we were growing up, she was the mother who always organized our class room parties, chaperoned, coordinated carpools, served as scout leaders and stepped up wherever needed. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who never failed to give us her time and all of her love. Our parents showed us the world and gave us great adventures growing up and our home was always filled with love and laughter. She is our heroine Mrs. Brennan is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Jim Konrath of Boise; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Vicki Brennan of Annandale, Virginia, and grandchildren Michael Brennan of Virginia and Allison Brennan of Washington, D.C. She is also survived by a special step grandson and his wife, Brian and Barclay Konrath and her great-grandsons, Thomas and Charlie Konrath, all of Boise; her nieces, Susan Hartman in Maryland and Barbara Spoor in Nevada, and their children. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, her parents; her sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lou and Rich Walch; her nephew, Rick Walch; and all of her aunts, uncles, and cousins. In lieu of flowers, it was Mrs. Brennan's wish that donations be made to Saint Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105 or a local charity.

DELANEY -- Margaret Antoinette Delaney, age 93 went to be with her Lord on Sunday, May 10, 2009 in Albuquerque, NM. She was born to Camillo and Pauline Garcia in Gallup, NM on May 10, 1916, and raised in Chinle, AZ. Margaret graduated with a business degree from Phoenix, AZ, lived in Chinle, AZ most of her life and helped manage Garcia's Canyon de Chelly Trading Post, a family business started by her father Camillo Garcia. After the untimely death of her father and brother Abel, Margaret became the sole proprietor of the family business until her retirement. She moved to Albuquerque after retirement with many friends and fond memories of her life on the Navajo Reservation. Despite a disability from polio, Margaret lived life to its fullest. She enjoyed traveling to foreign countries, painting, and needlepoint. Margaret is survived by her sisters, Alice Bischoff, and Cleo Giersch; nephews, Tom, Alan, and Paul Gallegos, David, Ben and John Giersch, John Garcia, David, and Patrick McGuire, Eddy, Tommy, Jerry, and David Bischoff; nieces, Mary Lou Widner, Teresa Giersch, Anita Dossey, Theresa Murry, Lorretta Bacaio, Georgianna Thomas, and Henrietta Gilmore. Margaret dearly loved the spouses and children of her many nieces and nephews, as well as her beloved cousins from Santa Fe and Gallup. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; father, Camillo Garcia; mother, Pauline Garcia; brother, Abel Garcia; sisters, Regina McGuire, and Mary Inez Barraza. GARCIA -- Jose Augustine Garcia, 71, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on May 10, 2009. Mr. Garcia is survived by his daughters, Sonia Martinez and husband, Leon, and Ayla Garcia; his sons, Larry Garcia and Rene Rael; his companion of 46 years, Libra Rael; daughter in law, Tina Apodaca; step-daugher, Christina Rael; 11 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Garcia is preceded in death by his son, Rudy Apodaca, two sisters, Meres G. Brown and Felicitas G. Herrera; and five brothers, Toby, Tony, Charlie, Daniel and Rudy. GONZALES -- Phillip (Felipe) Gonzales, 93, pioneer educator, a life long citizen of New Mexico and a long time resident of Albuquerque, passed away quietly in his sleep on May 8, 2009 after an extended illness. Born in the mountain town of Los Alamitos, New Mexico, in the upper Pecos valley on October 16, 1915, Phillip was the second oldest of 5 sons born to Magdaleno and Remedios (Lujan) Gonzales. Phillip was preceded in death by his wife, Celina Roybal Gonzales, his father and mother, three of his brothers Cipriano, Francisco, and Jose Luis. He is survived by one brother Antonio. Phillip is also survived by his five children, Regina Martinez and husband Rudy, Lucy Ann Alires and husband Jerome, Phillip C., Louella Buchanan and husband Rick, and Winifred Galarza; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, with public viewing from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated, Friday, 10:00 a.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5311 Phoenix Ave. NE. LANGLOIS -- Ida Gould Langlois, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1953, died Sunday, May 10, 2009. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, William J. Langlois M.D.; sons, Steven Langlois, James Langlois, and Charles Langlois, all of Albuquerque; daughter, Laura Eicher and husband, David of Hobbs, NM; eight grandchildren; sisters, Helen Patrick of Peru, NY, Edna Holdrige of Deposit, NY and Letha Briggs of Deposit, NY; brother, William F. Gould of Vestal, NY; and numerous other relatives and friends. Ida was preceded in death by one son, Richard. Ida was born on October 23, 1926, in Deposit, NY, and graduated from the Binghamton School of Nursing in Binghamton, NY. She served as a cadet nurse during WWII. After the war she became a charge nurse at the University of Michigan where she and Bill met. They were married on January 31, 1953 and later that year moved to Albuquerque. Raising their four sons and daughter became her priority then. She was active for sometime with the Albuquerque Assistance League and was a life-member of the Four Hills Country Club. Ida was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. LARUSCH -- Norbert LaRusch, 71, passed away on Sunday May 3, 2009. Born and raised in Buffalo, New York, Norbert moved to Albuquerque in 1974. He developed his lifelong love of drawing into a career as an architect, and he worked for and ran a number of architectural firms in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, most recently Sure-Safe Design. Norbert enjoyed dancing with his wife of 13 years, Patricia, taking day trips around New Mexico, and hosting backyard barbecues for his family and friends. He also was passionate about gardening in his yard, and was a big Buffalo Bills fan. Norbert was devoted to the Lord, attending Heritage Christian Fellowship Church for many years. Norbert is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; children Mark LaRusch, Julie Tantillo, Jill Hotchkiss and husband Chris, Tammy Hanor, Rudy Herrera and wife Krissy, Roci Herrera, Nathan Herrera and wife Jean, and Espi Herrera and wife Josie; siblings Gloria Meyer, Sharon Pryzybyl, Bucky LaRusch, and Kathleen Kovalek; 16 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. LEWIS -- Rozella L. Lewis, age 88, a resident of Albuquerque and more recently of Belen, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2009. Mrs. Lewis was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Albuquerque and had been a nurse for many years, as well as a school teacher. She was greatly loved by her family and will be missed. Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her husband, Laurence Lewis; five brothers and four sisters. She is survived by a daughter, Nelda Montgomery and her husband, Don of Los Lunas; a son, Claude Edwards and his wife, Ann of Texas; brother, Merle Rose of California; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. All Services will be held in the chapel of Riverside Funeral Home of Belen, 418 W. LIESSE -- Stacy Lynn Liesse, 47, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2009. Stacy was born August 22, 1961 in Springfield, Illinois the loving daughter of Gary and Tami Spence of Rio Rancho, NM. Other survivors include her two daughters, Rachel Anne and Jordan Anne Liesse; brother, Ben Spence and wife Claudette; two sisters, Shelly Spence Wiley and husband RJ, and Stephanie Romero and husband Mark. She was also loved by her nieces and nephews, Melissa, Nevaeh, and David Branch; Ben, Jr., Veronica, Syrus, and Analisa Spence; Bradley, Katie, and Kelsey Spence; Jenna, Jayden, Lauryn, and Layne Wiley; and Logan and Luke Romero. She was employed by Relay New Mexico interpreting for the deaf and was looking forward to her classes at University of New Mexico this fall for a degree in nursing. MCCOOK -- Kathryn A. McCook, age 93 of Albuquerque, passed away Monday, May 11, 2009 at a local care facility. She was born October 16, 1915 in Clayton, NM to John Henry and Estella Garlock. Kathryn married Gene McCook on March 31, 1934 in Clayton, NM, he preceded her in death after 52 years of marriage in May 1986. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church of Albuquerque where she belonged to the ladies church circle and a former member of the First United Methodist Church of Clayton. Kathryn is survived by her daughters, Sue Newberry and her husband,Don of Gallup and Irene Catanach and her husband, Ray of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Brett Newberry and his wife, Cindy, of Gallup, Kristin Grenemyer and her husband, Tim, of Albuquerque, Keely Catanach of Phoenix, AZ, Gene Hanson and his wife, Karen, of Buzzard Bay, MA., Troy Hanson and his wife, Kelly, of Columbus, OH; great-grandchildren, Kristi, Scott, Hannah, Miah, Sarah, Gabriella, Jordan, Grace, and Caroline; sister-in-law, Ruth Sullivan of Clayton, NM. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kitty Hanson, on December 17, 1989 and by her sister, Esther Harrington of Amarillo, TX. MCDEVITT -- Athena Lorraine McDevitt, born January 14, 1959 passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at the age of 50. Athena was born in Fayetteville, NC and raised in Gallup, NM. She moved to Albuquerque in 1977 to attend UNM and has been a resident since that time. Athena was a graduate of UNM Andersen School of Business, received a Master's Degree and was a Certified Public Accountant. She served the IRS for many years before leaving to establish a private practice. In addition to her accounting practice, she was also an online instructor for several universities. Athena was smart, talented, determined and she pursued her dreams with energy and passion. She was very giving and always ready to reach out and help a friend in need. Athena had an unforgettable sense of humor and could fill a room with laughter. She loved her cats, music, books and being a fairy godmother to her nieces. Athena will be greatly missed. Athena is preceded in death by her father, Peter McDevitt. She is survived by her mother, Lorraine Parmelee of Gallup; sister Rhea McDevitt of Albuquerque, sister Dyana Bible and husband Iain of San Diego; two nieces Rhiana and Tiahana who loved her dearly. Mr. Montano served in the US Navy during World War II and was stationed in the Marshall Islands. PASCETTI -- Josephine Ann Pascetti, age 90, a resident of Albuquerque for 59 years, peacefully went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 5, 2009. She is survived by her children, son, George Pascetti and wife, Susan of Durango, CO, daughter, Angela Scarberry and husband, Ted of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Damian Pascetti, T.J. PEREZ -- Larry A. Perez, age 60 passed away on Monday, May 11, 2009 in Albuquerque. He was born on April 1, 1949 to Cipriano and Gloria Perez in Albuquerque. Larry was raised in Encino, NM on the Perez family ranch and attended NMMI and graduated from UNM. He retired from TVI/CNM with over 30 years of service. He loved his children and spoiled his grandchildren; he loved to work the family ranch and was an avid sports fan. Larry is survived by his children; one daughter, Marissa Perez-Leeds and husband, Mike; and one son, Larry C. Perez and wife, Nair Borges; three grandchildren, Brandy, Dax and Camila; his father, Cipriano Perez; one sister, Lydia Romo and husband, Sam, and one brother, Victor Perez and wife, Liz; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends that will miss and cherish his memory. PORTER -- Wilma Holmes Porter passed away on Mother's Day, May 10, 2009 due to the effects of Alzheimer's disease. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Lyle Porter, who faithfully visited her three times a day during her illness. Wilma is also survived by five children: Bruce Porter and wife, Susan; Rebecca Rogers and husband, Gary; Pamela Hamblin and husband, Randy; Carolyn Brustad and husband, Roger; and Susan Grenfell and husband, Darrin. She leaves a posterity of nineteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. One brother also survives her: Kenley Holmes of Spokane, Washington. Wilma was born in Liberty, Utah, to Irma and Edgar Holmes. She was the fifth of seven children. She and Lyle moved to Albuquerque shortly after their marriage in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 21, 1951. Lyle began work at Sandia National Laboratories, where he worked until retirement. As a result of this employment, Wilma was able to live in Washington, D.C., Boston, and Europe, where they traveled extensively. Wilma loved music very much and served as LDS ward music chairman. She often led local LDS church choirs. She and Lyle served an LDS mission for a year on Temple Square in Salt Lake City. The family is grateful to the staff at The Cottages, an Alzheimer's home, where she spent the last years of her life. She is now at peace and reunited with her parents. PRUESS -- Margaret E. Pruess, age 93, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 6, 2009. She was born in Anita, Iowa when Woodrow Wilson occupied the White House. After high school, Margaret went to work as a bookkeeper in Kansas City, Missouri where she met Everett A. Pruess and married him in 1940. They settled in Cedar Rapids, Iowa where they raised their three children. Margaret loved her crossword puzzles and mysteries. She took great pleasure in knitting hats and booties, giving them away to newborns of friends and family. Her talents were put to use for other projects such as crocheting prayer shawls. She was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Everett; and her sister, Mary Isabel Vriesen. Survivors include two sons, James and wife, Jitra, of Bangkok, Thailand, Steven and wife, Mary Ellen, of Green Valley, Arizona; and daughter, Mary Pruess, of Albuquerque, NM; grandson, Christopher; and granddaughter, Na; brother, Max Biggs and wife, Lois, of Council Bluffs, Iowa. QUINTANA -- Frances G. Madrid Quintana, age 102, passed away on May 10, 2009 surrounded by the love and care of her family, in her son, Nick, and his wife, Loretta's, home. Frances was born in Corazon, NM on June 6, 1906, to Conferina and Margarito Gonzales. She married Vicente Madrid on September 19, 1925 in Tremintina, NM and moved to Tucumcari, NM where they purchased a ranch. They had four sons, Nicholas B., Edward J., Vincent and Richard. They shared 36 years together, raising their four sons, with Vicente working in the roundhouse for Santa Fe Railroad. Vicente passed away in December of 1961. She married Hipolito Quintana on September 20, 1969. They shared 29 years together, dancing and caring for one another. Hipolito passed away in May of 2000. Frances is survived by one sister, Rose Cordova, of Albuquerque; two sons, Nick and his wife, Loretta, and Eddie, and his companion, Anna Baca, all of Albuquerque; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Vicente and Hipolito; sons, Richard and Vincent; grandson, Brian Madrid; and great-grandson, Joshua Madrid. ROBILLARD -- Robert "Bob" Gregory Robillard, resident of Albuquerque, born on Staten Island, NY, January 9, 1924, the son of Charles and Kathleen (Sherwood) Robillard, passed away May 11, 2009. Bob is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 63 years, Lila Peregrine Robillard; daughter, Renee Robillard and husband, Jim Lynch, of Albuquerque, NM; son, Robert Robillard and wife Donna Benz, of Bound Brook, NJ; Brothers- and sisters in-law, Robert Knisel, of Panama City Beach, FL; Bill and Delores Peregrine, of Counsil, ID; Bob and Donna Peregrine, of Rapid City, ID; Betty Schumann, of Fairmont, MN; Barbara Peregrine, of Glenbrook, NV; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Doris and Shirley; two brothers, Gregory and Charles; and two brothers- in-law, Charles Schumann and Howard Peregrine. After graduation from high school, in 1942, Bob enlisted in the United States Navy flight training program. Bob received his Navy wings and was commissioned as an Ensign on September 5, 1944. He served on the aircraft carrier Boxer in Chinese and Japanese waters. Bob married Lila Peregrine, of Long Beach, CA, on July 15, 1945, in Tijuana, Mexico. Following the war, Bob was a flight instructor in Pensacola, FL, from 1946-1947, he was discharged from the Navy in 1947 as a LT (jg), but remained in the Navy reserves for two years. He graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ, in 1951 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked for Lockheed Aircraft in Burbank, CA. In 1952 he and his family moved to Staten Island, NY, and he worked for Western Electric (AT&T), in Kearney, NJ, for thirty years. Bob received a Masters of Science degree from Stevens Institute of Technology in 1962 by attending night school. In 1985, when Bob retired, he and Lila moved to South Dakota, living in Johnson Siding and Sturgis until moving to New Mexico in 2006. Bob was a member volunteer for RSVP, Sturgis Chamber of Commerce and The Sturgis Hospital Auxiliary. He amassed 1800 hours of volunteer time with the RSVP, all in Sturgis, SD. SEYMOUR -- Joseph Hugh Seymour Sr., 63, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, entered into Eternal Life on Thursday, May 7, 2009. Joseph is predeceased by his parents, Roy and Clara Seymour. He is survived by beloved wife of 41 years, Faye May Seymour; his children, Jonella Seymour, friend Meisha Walters, Melissa Tauala, Melanie Seymour and spouse Steve Scott all of Albuquerque, NM, Joseph H. STOKELY -- Calvin F. Stokely, age 58, of Los Lunas, New Mexico passed away on Friday, May 9, 2009. He was born in Pineville, KY on September 11, 1950 to Effie M. Barge and John H. Stokely. He is survived by his wife Karen Stokely; mother-in-law Lila Davis, stepdaughter Lorrinda Brooks of Roswell, New Mexico and stepson Frank Cissne of Goodyear, AZ. Calvin had a granddaughter, Valerie Brooks and great-granddaughter Lerah Rainy Brooks both of Midland, TX. Calvin served our country in the United States Marine Corps between 1968 and 1974. He served proudly in the war against Vietnam. Calvin will always be remembered as a kind and generous man. He took care of his ill wife for ten years and worked tirelessly to provide for her and her mother, Lila Davis, of Los Lunas. He was employed by the VA Hospital in Albuquerque for the last ten years. We will miss him dearly and know that he is in a better place where he will know no pain.

STRUNK -- Rebekah Ann Strunk, born July 4, 1974 in Los Angeles, California, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 8, 2009 at the age of 34 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is preceded in death by her mother, Deborah Duff Strunk. She is survived by her dad, Richard Strunk; step-mom, Christine Gudelj; twin sister, Rachel; and step-brother, Travis Gudelj, all of Albuquerque; aunts and uncles, Marjean and Jack Carnahan of California, Bonnie and Johnny Isaacs of Washington, George Strunk of North Carolina, Donald and Marilou Strunk of Pennsylvania, Donna and Rick Wyckoff of Pennsylvania, Steven and Wendy Gudelj of New Mexico, Norma Gudelj of New Mexico, Rosemary Gudelj and Paul Petzold of Missouri, Patricia Gudelj and Clifford Earles of New Mexico; and numerous cousins and dear friends who loved and will miss her. Rebekah graduated from El Dorado High School in 1993. She worked at Furr's Supermarket for ten years while going to High School and College. She received her Bachelor's and Master's Degree in teaching from the University of New Mexico. Upon graduation from the University of New Mexico, she began teaching at Apache Elementary School in 2002. She began teaching special ed children and most recently was a 2nd grade teacher at Apache. Her passion in life was teaching special ed children. She loved her cats, family, friends, and the children she taught. We will miss her dearly. WALDEN -- Barbara J. Walden, 75, a resident of Albuquerque since 1957, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 9, 2009. She was born in Wisconsin to Horace, a shoemaker, and Vivian, a housewife, where she had a wonderful childhood. She grew up to be top in her graduating class and as a teenager taught the guitar and played in a band. After high school, she moved to Albuquerque and married the love of her life, Jesse. They enjoyed traveling, camping, and fishing. Unfortunately Jesse died an untimely death more than 20 years ago. Barbara retired after that, then she and her best friends went back to work as independent contractors until last year when diagnosed with cancer. Her family was the most important thing to her and with her energy, patience, and loving will to have fun, inspired everyone to love her and want to be like her. She was preceded in death by her one true love, Jesse. Barbara is survived by her daughters, Cheri and Nancy; grandchildren, Mike, Steve, and his wife Karyn, Sharla, James, and Jessie; great-grandsons, Collin and Drew; and her stepson Jesse and his family. She was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and neighbor. She will truly be missed. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be conducted Monday, May 18, 2009, at 10:30 a.m., at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Wyoming Chapel, with a short reception to follow. ZAMORA -- Onesima Zamora a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM 87105. She was born on April 17, 1922, and went to rest on May 11, 2009. She was proceeded by death by her husband Porfirio Zamora; and her two granddaughters, Annette and Cindy Zamora. She is survived by one brother and one sister, Albert Sedillo and Nickie Montano; her son George and wife Marlene Zamora. One granddaughter Valarie Zamora, and great-grandchildren, Frankie Padilla and Joseph Duran, Mariah Acosta, and Britney Gutierrez. Several nieces and nephews, she had two very special nieces Roberta Placencio, and Yolanda Padilla; several friends and Church members. Pall bearers, Christopher Padilla, Albert P. Placencio III, Joseph Duran, Frankie Padilla, Jerry Griego, Andrew Montano. She will greatly missed and always remembered. We Love you Auntie! Services will be held at Salazar and Son's Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral will be held at 9:00 a.m., Thursday. Burial in Santa Fe National Memorial.
