She was raised and educated in that area, graduating North High in 1941. Shortly after, she enlisted in the Navy, completed basic training in Norman, Oklahoma and served in Chicago at Navy Pier as a Yeoman Second Class. It was during this time that she met a handsome Army Air Corps glider pilot, George Brennan. They were married on June 16, 1945 and enjoyed 57 years of marriage until his passing in 2002. Mom was above all a devoted wife and mother who took great joy and pride in participating, along with her husband, in their children's activities. While we were growing up, she was the mother who always organized our class room parties, chaperoned, coordinated carpools, served as scout leaders and stepped up wherever needed. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who never failed to give us her time and all of her love. Our parents showed us the world and gave us great adventures growing up and our home was always filled with love and laughter. She is our heroine Mrs. Brennan is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Jim Konrath of Boise; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Vicki Brennan of Annandale, Virginia, and grandchildren Michael Brennan of Virginia and Allison Brennan of Washington, D.C. She is also survived by a special step grandson and his wife, Brian and Barclay Konrath and her great-grandsons, Thomas and Charlie Konrath, all of Boise; her nieces, Susan Hartman in Maryland and Barbara Spoor in Nevada, and their children. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, her parents; her sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lou and Rich Walch; her nephew, Rick Walch; and all of her aunts, uncles, and cousins. In lieu of flowers, it was Mrs. Brennan's wish that donations be made to Saint Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105 or a local charity.
