ANGEL -- Tonie L. Angel, the founding Principal of Hodgin Elementary School in Albuquerque, died peacefully on July 30, 2008 at the age of 96 in Austin, TX where she had moved two years ago to be close to her son, Ron Angel and her daughter-in-law Jacqueline Angel, both professors at the University of Texas at Austin. Angel was a lifelong educator whose teaching career began at the age of eighteen in Albuquerque. Over the years, she taught at many elementary schools in and around Albuquerque and Las Vegas, NM. During the 1950's she served as County School Superintendent in San Miguel County where she introduced many educational reforms that improved the quality of rural schools. Angel retired as Principal of Hodgin Elementary School in 1977 at the age of 65 to move to Las Vegas to be with her husband, Joe Angel, who served as District Judge for the Fourth Judicial District until his retirement. She was preceded in death by her daughter Rita Angel, a professor of music at the University of New Mexico; her husband Joe Angel; four sisters, Rosa Chavez, Bennie Soto, Beulah Gonzalez, and Dora Clarke; and a brother, Fred Lucero. She is survived by her son, Ronald Angel and daughter-in-law Jacqueline of Austin, TX; and a grandson, Matthew Angel, a graduate student at MIT in Boston. Angel received her Bachelor's degree from the University of New Mexico and her Master's from Highlands University in Las Vegas. She, and three of her sisters, became teachers at a time when women from poor backgrounds had little chance for professional careers. Her career as an educator spanned several decades and over the years she touched many lives and left a lasting impression on future generations. A Memorial Service will be held at 9:30 on August 23, 2008 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1818 Coal Pl. SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106 followed by a private internment.

BACHICHA -- Edna Bachicha, 92, beloved mother, passed away at on August 7, 2008 to enter through the gates of heaven. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Raymond Bachicha; daughters, Dolores Thompson, Rita Rubio, Marlene Placencio-Bachicha; grandson, Michael David Rubio; and granddaughter, Charlene Marie Rubio. She is survived by her son, Walter Tomas Bachicha and wife Theresa; seven grandchildren Laura Sandoval, Johnathan Anthony Rubio, Jamara Bachicha, Noel Bachicha, Aralyna Bachicha, Venus Bachicha and Errico Bachicha; many great- grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren; many nephews and nieces. A Rosary will be held at Salazar and Sons Mortuary at 7:00 p.m Sunday August 10, 2008. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday, August 11, 2008 at Saint Francis Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. BANDY -- Selma L. Selma L. Bandy, 76, passed away Tuesday evening, August 5, 2008. She is survived by her daughter, Jeri; son, Chris, daughter, Lisa and husband Russ; and her four precious grandchildren, Kimberly, Jessica, Orion, and Caleb. She loved her family deeply and will be missed terribly. Her love for animals, flowers, and babies will certainly be carried on by all those who loved her. Cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Any one wishing to pay respects may do so by contacting the family.

CAWLFIELD -- John Lee Cawlfield, born September 20, 1936 in Pueblo, CO, died on July 8, 2008 in Albuquerque, NM. John graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1954, and attended the University of New Mexico prior to serving in the US Army. He then returned to UNM and received BS and MS degrees in mechanical engineering. John had the distinction of receiving the first perfect score on the New Mexico Professional Engineering Intern Exam at UNM. John worked for General Electric in Ohio, Illinois, and Arizona before returning to Albuquerque where he worked at Sandia Labs until retirement. In 1950, John was baptized into membership of Monte Vista Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). John was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Nedra (Bartholomew) Cawlfield of Albuquerque. John is survived by son, Bruce Andrew Cawlfield of Cle Elum, WA; adopted step-son, Richard Glenn Winters of Cle Elum; and step-daughter, Stacey Ann Winters of Salt Lake City, UT; grandsons John Grover and Peter James Cawlfield of Cle Elum; sister and brother-in-law, Janet Sue and Donnelly J. Johnson, Sr. of Colorado Springs and their family, Jim, John and Bob Johnson and Cynthia Gallatin. John's leisure activities included work with Big Brothers, fishing, poetry, contract bridge, gardening, tennis and spectator sports - especially baseball. John has held several state records for his fly fishing, and he currently holds the record for a Coho Salmon caught on El Vado Lake in October 1974. COOPER -- Ramona Cooper, 86, a resident of Albuquerque died Friday, August 8, 2008. DITMER -- Patricia "Pat" Ditmer, 70, a resident of Albuquerque since 1975, died Friday, August 1, 2008. She is survived by her daughter Doreen Bedwell of Ferris TX; sons, Scott Ditmer of Los Lunas, Brian Ditmer and Chris Ditmer, both of Albuquerque; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and sister Pamela Clouse of Bellfountaine, OH. Mrs. Ditmer was preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bob" Ditmer. Pat loved to sing and sang with the Albuquerque Civic Chorus and the Choir at Our Lady of Annunciation. She had worked at Tom Youngs Spa for several years. She enjoyed cake decorating. EDDY -- Les Eddy, 83, died in his home Friday morning, August 8, 2008, the way he wanted to, surrounded by his dog and loved ones. Les was born in Worcester, MA on October 24, 1924 He served in World War II in the 86th Infantry of the 10th Mountain Division, and was awarded numerous medals for bravery and valor. His journeys led him to Albuquerque, where he met the love of his life, Jean, whom he married in 1950. Shortly after, they moved to the North Valley to raise kids, cats and dogs. Six kids, three horses, numerous cats, dogs, owls, and various other varmints later, he surely achieved his goal. With a great love of the outdoors, Les made sure that his four sons earned their Eagle Scout Badge since it was not something he personally accomplished. He enjoyed his role as Scout Master so much that he continued to be active in Troop 9 well after his youngest son was up and out. After working Commercial Construction for several companies in town for 16 years, Les started his own company, Les Eddy and Sons, GCI, in 1983, which is still in business and still run by his family 25 years later. He is survived by an extended family including his seven children, Kathy Bunt and her husband Ron, Jayne Lindeman, Kevin Eddy and his wife Diana, Allison Sarracino and her husband Raymond, Stuart Eddy and his wife Evelyn, Clayton Eddy, and Clark Eddy and his wife Helen; his nine grandchildren, Phillip, Paul, Jacquelyn, Justine, Larson, Marcus, Brandon, Alicia, and Jennifer; and two great-grandchildren, Jalynn and Jace. He is also survived by his younger sister, Rachel Walden and her husband Gordon; and his "Queenly Mother" Jean Eddy, his wife of 58 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dorothy Eddy; and his older sister, Barbara. Les will be cremated according to his wishes. FOGLEMAN -- Guadalupe (Lupe) Davis Fogleman, a resident of Albuquerque, died August 8, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joel E. Fogleman, in 1991; sisters, Josephine and Victoria; and brothers Ascension, John, and George. She is survived by two sons, George and wife, Ruth of Bosque Farms, NM and Joel E. Fogleman and wife, Kathy of Albuquerque, NM; a granddaughter, Jennifer; and a grandson, Kris, both of Albuquerque, NM; sister, Rose McCourt of Albuquerque, NM; brother, Frank Davis of Moriarty, NM; and sister-in-law, Rita Davis. Mrs. Fogleman is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Lupe was a life long member of Holy Ghost Parish. She was an educator with A.P.S. and in New Mexico for 30 years. The loves of her life were, first her family, her church, teaching, and quilting. She also belonged to the Holy Ghost Rosary Alter Society, Hiland Senior Citizens Quilting Group, Chama Quilters and several tearchers associations. GABALDON -- Leroy T. Gabaldon passed away on August 5, 2008 at the age of 55. Leroy was born on March 1, 1953, to Tommy and Eva Gabaldon in Albuquerque, NM. Leroy graduated from Rio Grande High School and served proudly and honorably in the U. S. Army. He is survived by his two daughters, Nicole Martinez and her husband Julian of Albuquerque, Ana-Alicia Gabaldon and boyfriend Cameron Sahlin of Albuquerque; his wife, Carmen "Cally" Calixto-Gabaldon and their son, Mathieu Calixto-Gabaldon; two wonderful grandsons, Dylan Martinez and Zakery Gabaldon; his sister, Yavanne Jaramillo and her husband Leo; his brother, Steve Gabaldon; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Leroy loved to ride his Harley and working on his property up north. He is preceded in death by his mother, Eva; his brothers, Anthony and David; his sister, Lisa; nephew, Tomas Amador. He will be missed very much. GARAY -- Jorge Garay, 63, died July 31, 2008 in Albuquerque. He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Gloria; his children, Claudia Garay Nicasio and husband David Nicasio; Adriana Garay; Raul Garay and wife, Vicki Garay, Jennifer Garay and husband, Richard Calabro; grandchidren, Diego Nicasio, Corey Wall, Keanu and Mikalah Garay, Luke, Nick, Elaan and soon to be born baby Calabro; and last but not least his cherished dogs, Salsa and Shayla. Jorge was born in Bogota, Colombia on March 9, 1945. Before coming to the United States he studied Industrial Engineering and Economics at the Incca University in Bogota. He immigrated to the United States on October 1975 with his wife and three children. He spent many years working hard and raising a beautiful family including his fourth child born in Albuquerque. He became a self-taught artist doing jewelry, ceramics and hand painted sandstone switch plates. He enjoyed friends, good food, music, dance and sports. As an avid "futbol" player, fan and coach he dedicated many years of his life to coaching soccer. His passion for coaching soccer greatly influenced many children and women's lives. It was his ingenuity along with his innate tenacity and strong spirit that allowed him to live through 11 years of pulmonary fibrosis. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday August 9, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Therese Little Flower, 300 Mildred NW, (4th St. and Candelaria), in Albuquerque, with Father Javier Gutierrez as the Celebrant. HENDERSON -- Priscilla Henderson, 76, a resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, August 7, 2008. Priscilla is survived by her daughter, Dr. Elizabeth Henderson; grandchildren, Benjamin, Christopher and Patrick Blewett; sister, Susan Fritz Blye; niece, Eleanore Holloway; nephew, John Henry Blye IV; and many dear friends. Priscilla was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John. Pris was a dedicated wife and mother who prided herself in providing love and hospitality not only to her family, but for others as well. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed cooking, and was fascinated with history, having returned to school to complete her Bachelor's Degree of Arts, History Major at George Mason University. Because of her passion for giving of herself to others, she was a tireless volunteer. Pris was especially involved in literacy programs for adults and children in Virginia, Arizona, and New Mexico. She also volunteered as a docent with several historical landmarks including Mt. Vernon. Since she had such a heart for giving, memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the organization of your choice. JUSTUS -- Addalene (Peggy) Starrett Justus, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 3, 2008, at the age of 85. Peggy, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, is survived by her daughter, Laura Justus (Smith McClure) of Minnetonka, MN; son, Eddie Justus (Anita) of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Vanessa and Haley McClure and Clinton and Marlowe Justus; sister, Louise Stapleton of San Antonio, TX; nieces, Carolyn Stapleton and Janet Todd; and nephew, John Lindsey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vaughan Justus; her daughter and caretaker, Mary Louise Andazola; and her sister, Mary Jo Lindsey. Peggy was a sweet and gentle soul, who loved her family, her friends, and playing bridge. She graduated from the original Albuquerque High School and UNM, and was a tireless booster of all things about Albuquerque. Peggy was a member of UNM's Town Club and was an active Town Club alumnae for years. She also belonged to UNM's Heritage Club. Peggy attended First United Methodist Church her whole life, where she and Vaughan were active in the Twosome Club, and she was a Stephen Minister. She also loved the basics of the political process, and for many years worked at the polls every election day, where she loved seeing her neighbors come to vote. Peggy belonged to several bridge clubs, some for over 65 years. She was very loyal to her many bridge friends, and she took great joy in teaching others how to play bridge. Another of her joys was traveling the United States with Vaughan when he was an officer in the Fraternal Order of Hoo-Hoo International, and she was instrumental in organizing their international convention in Albuquerque in 1966. We will remember Peggy as a loving mom and grandmother, who was always available for a late night chat, some words of wisdom, or a game of cards. KELLEY -- Kathleen Kelley, 61, of Albuquerque, NM passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 after a long running battle with cancer . Beloved wife and partner, she will be greatly missed by her husband. Kathleen had many friends who contributed to her joy and she enjoyed sharing time with them ready to help. A longtime resident of New Mexico, she was born in Scranton, PA and raised in Las Cruces, NM and Sinclairville, NY. After several years in New Mexico, Texas and North Dakota, Kathleen returned to New Mexico and while working at the New Mexico Institute of Technology in Socorro, she met her future husband. They moved to Albuquerque, NM and married soon after. Kathleen worked in Albuquerque for Logicon and Applied Research Associates. She was a fun and creative person creating her own jewelry and managing a small business. She had many supportive on-line friends. Survivors include her husband, Thomas M. Church of Albuquerque, NM; sister-in-law, Cassandra J. Church and her husband, Stephen Linam, of Austin, TX; brother-in-law David B. Church and his wife, Rosina, of Las Cruces, NM. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to any of New Mexico's cancer centers. Committal of ashes will be in the Santa Fe National Cemetery on August 15, 2008. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am.

KOVAL -- Frank X. Koval, long-time Albuquerque resident, age 92, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2008 after a long illness. LANE -- Eddie Lane, Jr. died on Aug. 2, 2008. He was 58 years young when he succumbed to lung cancer. Eddie was born in San Francisco, CA. He was a professional photographer and a private investigator for a firm in San Francisco. He spent the last 20 years in Albuquerque, NM. He is survived by his sister, Debbie Lane Ruskin and husband, Bill from Ben Lomond, CA. His two nephews, Cuyler Ruskin from Ben Lomond and Dylan Ruskin from Santa Cruz, CA. LINDGREN -- Mark Louis Lindgren, 1961-2008, age 46, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2008. He graduated from Sandia High School in 1980. In 1985, he married Leisa Ann Mericle and they had three children. In 1989 Mark, started truck driving and by 2004 he had started his own trucking company, Samantha Trucking, Inc. Mark was a member of Los Chavez First Baptist Church. He loved horses and hunting, as well as working on engines. Mark was diagnosed with colon cancer in June 2007 and fought it for over a year. Mark was a very hard worker who did his best to care for his family. He will be missed by all. Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents, Niels and Wava Lindgren; his aunt Barbara DeWees; and a cousin, Billy Lindgren. He is survived by his children, Jessica, Tiffany and Cody; parents, Bob and Judy Lindgren; maternal grandmother, Louis Newton; two brothers, Robert Lindgren and Michael Lindgren and his wife Sarah and two grandchildren, Samantha and Michael Jr. Mark is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and his former wife, Leisa. All Services will be held at The First Baptist Church of Los Chavez beginning with a Viewing on Monday, August 11, 2008, at 10:00 a.m., the Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Boyd Morerod officiating. Interment will follow at Terrace Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Lindgren, Bobby Lindgren, Ray Davis, Jessie Lindgren, Chris Lindgren, and Jose Rodriguez. LUCERO -- Thomas J. Lucero, December 21, 1920 - August 1, 2008, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Chavez Lucero; and his son, Paul Anthony Lucero. "Tommy" was a wonderful big brother to Rachel, Eloise, Ray, Hank, and Margaret; and the loving son of Pauline and Fred. "Big Toe" is survived by his children, Robert Thomas Lucero, Ramona Marie Lucero and husband Mike Thompson, Andrew Chavez Lucero and wife Sian Hughes, John Ambrose Lucero, Larry Martin Lucero and wife Jan, Frances A. Lucero and partner Corva Rose, Mary Ann Lucero and partner Gloria Baca, Michael Justin Lucero and wife Margo. He is survived by his grandchildren, Bryan, Damon and Nathan Lucero, Leeane and Paul Lucero, Stuart Lucero, Rhys Chavez and Owyn Tomas Hughes-Lucero, April and Kennan Lucero, Marc, Jonathan, Jason, Joshua and Jillian Lucero, Frankie Baca-Lucero, and Alexandra Lucero. He served in the 45th Infantry Division of the US Army, trained in North Africa before the invasion of Sicily and Italy, fought in France and Germany, and witnessed the liberation of Dachau Concentration Camp after the fall of Munich in April 1945. "Tom" graduated from Albuquerque High and graduated with a Civil Engineering degree from UNM. He worked for the Corps of Engineers and then for the Bureau of Indian Affairs until he retired in 1984. He will be fondly remembered by the many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews that he left behind. Rosary at 7 p.m. on Monday, August 11, 2008 and Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 12, 2008. Both will be held at Our Lady of Assumption Church. MANHART -- Robert L. Manhart Born July 26, 1931, Robert Manhart passed away on August 2, 2008. He was an Army veteran, an outdoorsman, gourmet cook, and all around good man. Bob died suddenly Saturday in Colorado Springs. He graduated from University of Denver in 1955, and worked as a Technical Writer at Sandia Labs before retiring in 1992. He is survived by an extended family including his son, Eric Manhart; his step son, David, and wife Bonnie Goranson; his daughter-in-law Carol Manhart; his five grandchildren, Kyle, Cole, Megan, Autumn, and Emerald. He is also survived by his soul mate, Barbara Yadon, and numerous good friends. He was predeceased by son, Mark Manhart.

POWELL -- Carroll Jeanne Powell, 62, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2008. ROBINSON -- Richard S. Robinson, Col., USAF Ret. Robby, 87, was born in Camden, NJ, the son of Claude and Julia (Czkeli) Robinson. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Nancy A. Robinson; his children, Richard S. and Christopher D. of Dallas, TX, and Juli Robinson of Albuquerque; his daughters-in-law, Rufina and Jan; granddaughters, Amity Anderson, Kelly Mohr and Christine Robinson; great-granddaughter, Willow Anderson; and sister, Doris Grant of New Jersey. Robby's first and greatest love was flying. He built model airplanes growing up and went on to build two full-sized airplanes, including his P51 Mustang, named "Dead Bug," which has been donated to the New Mexico Museum of Military History. Robby enlisted in the NJ National Guard on July 3, 1939. He and Nancy settled in Albuquerque's North Valley when he retired from the USAF in 1971, after a long and happy career as a jet pilot. Among many other awards, Robby received the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star and Air Medals. Robby will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery on October 23, 2008.

RODEN -- Anna Rita Roden, 80, was born to Eternal Life on Thursday, August 7, 2008. She died unexpectedly during emergency surgery in South Bend, IN, while on a family trip through the Midwest. Mrs. Roden is preceded in death by her husband, Jim R. Roden Jr. She is survived by three children, Susan Marie Salazar of Albuquerque, Joseph James Roden of Orlando FL, and Father Edward Paul Roden-Lucero of El Paso, TX. She was a grandmother of six and great-grandmother of three. Rita and Jim were founding members of Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Albuquerque, NM. They were also active in various lay ministries in the 1970's and 80's at Saint Charles Borromeo Parish. Mrs. Roden, like her husband, was a person of deep faith and intensely dedicated to her children and grandchildren. For over 50 years, she supported various missionary charities and was known for her great kindness to neighbors and friends. She will be greatly missed. ROOP -- Virginia (Ginny) Roop died August 3, 2008. Her love and compassion for others was unequaled. She never met a person she did not like; she just liked some people more than others. ROSS -- Bernard A. Ross, 83, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2008, after a long illness. Bernard was born on March 1, 1925 in Grand Rapids, MI. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop 44 and graduated from Catholic Central High School, where he was a member of the marching band. He briefly attended Aquinas College during World War II, leaving to serve in the Marine Corps. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. Bernard spent his entire professional career with the Wayne County (MI) Road Commission where he became Engineer of Tests. He oversaw the Testing and Research Division and worked on many projects, including construction at Detroit Metropolitan Airport. After retiring, he lived in Saratoga, CA for 13 years prior to moving to Albuquerque in 1999. Bernard was an avid stamp collector, belonging to stamp clubs in Michigan, California and New Mexico. Bernard was the beloved and devoted husband of 57 years of Muriel D. (Karp) Ross, who survives him. He was a loving and attentive father and grandfather. He is survived by his four daughters, Mary Small of Loveland CO, Carol Ross-Baumann of St. Louis, MO, Patricia Cingel of Pinckney, MI, and Sharon DeLand of Albuquerque; his grandchildren, Amanda, Adam, and Sara Small, Matthew and Kurt Baumann, Rebecca DeLand, and Emily Cingel; and his sister, Dorothy Balahoski of Grand Rapids, MI. We shall miss him dearly. SANCHEZ -- Max W. Sanchez died Wednesday, August 6, 2008. He was 90 years old. Max lived on the farm where he was born, the youngest son of 15 children. He served in World War II, and after the war, he worked as a postal carrier for 37 years. He served for decades as an usher for the Saturday 5:30 p.m. Mass at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church in Old Town. Max loved to dance and travel, and he was an exemplary farmer. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Ann; his sister, Helen and her husband, Chris Ogaz; sister-in-law, Mary Sandoval; his daughter, Maxine and her husband, James P. Bushman; his son, Walt Sanchez; his grandchildren, Jenise Aminoff, James V. SHERWOOD -- Maxine Moyer Sherwood, affectionately known as Bubbles, died peacefully on Thursday, August 7, 2008 in Albuquerque, NM. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Maxine enjoyed a full and rich life. She and her husband. Samuel raised their children in Indianapolis, IN, moved to El Paso, TX in 1972 and retired to Albuquerque, where they lived for 27 years. Maxine was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Samuel Ferguson Sherwood, who passed away in October 2007. She was also preceded in death by her son, Danny; and her grandson, Danny. She is survived by their four children, Robert Sherwood and wife, Lillias, of Barrie, Ontario, Canada, Catherine Sherwood and husband Ron Gaudia, of Albuquerque, NM, Ann Hamze and husband, Issami, of Greenville, NC, and Elizabeth Kubie and husband, Jim of Albuquerque, NM. She was known as Grandma to her seven grandchildren, DeWitt Mahaney, Nick Arenella, Jessica Arenella, Samara Hamze, Safa Hamze, Noura Hamze, Jacob Kubie, and five great- grandchildren. A gracious hostess and outstanding cook, Maxine authored and illustrated her own cook book, Another Recipe Book: 50 Years of Cooking. Her passion for art and decorating bespoke her creative and innovative spirit. She and Sam traveled the world together. A proud member of the Junior League, Needlepoint Guild, and the Women's Club of Indianapolis, Maxine also enjoyed socializing through bridge, tennis, and golf. Her family and friends will miss her lively spirit, sense of independence and outgoing personality. After graduation from high school, Peter joined the US Army, where he served from 1992-1998, and was proud of his accomplishments as a Sergeant in the 101st Airborne Division, as well with the 217th Calvary. She finished her education career in Anchorage as a Montessori Teacher at Denali Public Elementary School for seven years and her last five years as a Principal in the Anchorage School System. TUGGLE -- Lenora V. Tuggle, beloved Mother, was born December 5, 1921, in Vian, OK, and died quietly on August 7, 2008, from complications of cancer surgery followed by a major stroke. While she worked as a riveter on aircraft during WWII, her major career was as an accounting supervisor with AT&T, and she helped establish the Albuquerque office. In later years as a homemaker, she turned to various crafts and shared her work with family and friends. After her husband, Jack, died in 1990, she moved to NM to be with her daughter, Jean Tuggle, who survives her. She is also survived by two sisters, Naomi V. Cornelius; one niece; three nephews; and families live in the Tulsa, OK, area. Jean Rogers; one niece and families live in the Reseda, CA, area. A Memorial Service to celebrate Lenora's life will be held Friday, August 15, 2008, 2:30 p.m., at the Rio Rancho United Methodist Church, 1652 Abrazo Road NE, 892-0404, with the Reverend Janie Noble officiating. There will be a reception in the Social Hall following the service. Lenora's ashes will be scattered at sea off the coast of California. VELASQUEZ -- Veronica Velasquez "Betty Boop". Our beloved daughter, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Veronica "Betty Boop" Velasquez has gone to be with the Lord on Friday, August 1, 2008. She is survived by her mother, Selina Velasquez; daughters, Tina Trujillo, Frances Trujillo and husband Juan Pacheco, Ramona Trujillo and husband Benjie Santillanes; sons, Arsenio Martin Trujillo Jr. and Michael Trujillo; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
