LUCERO -- Felipita Lucero, age 92, beloved mother and grandmother, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, July 18, 2008. A Rosary will be recited Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Bernalillo, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. also at the Church. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dennis Jaramillo, Desi Aragon Jr., Aaron Velarde, Ronnie Chavez, James Cordova, Robert Gutierrez, and Tommy Lucero. MORA -- Frank A. Mora (1923-2008) passed away July 18, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lela; his five children, Norma Lamkin (Joe), David Mora (Ronnie), Tom Mora (Nancy), Kathy Summerell (Greg), and Vivian Thunell (Greg); brother, Andrew Mora; and sister, Louise Mora. Frank had 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Vivian; sisters, Mary Miguelita, Mary Ruth, and Mary Alice; and brothers, Robert, Albert, Benjamin Jr., and Fred. There will be a Viewing from 3:00p.m. - 9:00p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 with a Rosary at 7:00p.m. at Dilday Mortuary 17911 Beach Blvd., Huntington Beach, CA. Funeral Mass will be at Holy Spirit Catholic in Fountain Valley, CA. Interment will follow at Westminster Memorial Park.

OYENIK -- Virginia B. Oyenik, 85, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2008. She was born May 25, 1923, a daughter of Francisco and Elvira Bal. She was a dedicated Air Force wife and loving mother to her four children. Survivors include her children; Sherry Berry, Albuquerque; Darla (Guy) Lewis, Onalaska, WA; Andrew "Skip" Oyenik, Albuquerque; Mark Oyenik and partner, Jennifer Hodgson, Rio Rancho; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and one sister; Louise Young of California. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew; and one brother,Robert Bal. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the French Mortuary Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. RENFRO -- Frances M. Renfro, 94, of Albuquerque, died July 15, 2008. Turning over a new leaf. She was born February 25, 1914 on her grandparent's farm near Tremont, IL. At the age of two, her mother died and she was raised by loving relatives in Peoria, IL. In 1944, she decided to take a bus trip west to California. Along her fateful route she met an Army Sgt. Everett "Beans" Renfro, who was on furlough before shipping out to the war in the Pacific. During their journey, he courted her detailing the wondrous beauty of New Mexico. She stayed for a visit and was never to leave. On November 18, 1945 Frances married Everett in Albuquerque. They had four daughters, Lura, Carol, Illene and Sally all of Albuquerque; two granddaughters, Leslie and Christina McMurtry. Frances was a long time member of Central United Methodist Church and New Mexico Home Extension Group. She was modest, sweet, supportive, and loving to her family and community. A devoted wife, mother, and best friend, she will be missed. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., July 23, 2008 at the Central United Methodist Church Chapel. Interment at the Santa Fe National Cemetery will follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the Animal Humane Society, the National Parks, Share your Care, Inc. or Heartland Hospice. AGUILAR -- Carolina E. Aguilar, 75, resident of Albuquerque, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 19, 2008. She is survived by her loving husband, Tito S. Aguilar; her children, Annabelle and David Salazar, of Colorado Springs, CO, Diana and Nelson Lopez, Philip Aguilar, and Peggy and Marty Candelaria all of Albuquerque. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren: Joaquin and Arcelia Salazar, Naomi Lopez-Dunlap, Rebeccah Lopez, Amanda and Gabriel Aguilar, Analise and Alexis Candelaria; and four great-grandchildren. ARNOLD -- Margaret Celeste Arnold, 95, passed away peacefully July 4, 2008 in Mount Vernon, WA. Born in Phoenix, she lived in Albuquerque-Cedar Crest areas in 1960's and taught elementary school at Monte Vista and Tijeras. Her husband of 53 years, LeRoy, preceded her in death, as did nearly all her friends. Survivors include her children, Carol Lombardo, PO Box 408, Palmer, AK 99645, Ed Arnold, Raleigh, NC and Maggie Beck, Burlington, WA; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.

BLOSSOM -- Patrick Blossom, 53, a lifetime resident of Los Alamos and more recently of Albuquerque, died Thursday July 17, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Cheryl Lynne "Cheri Bell" Blossom; son, Ian Patrick Blossom; daughters, Erin Lindsey Silas, Meghan Leigh East and husband, Brandon; grandchildren, Korinne Kyoko Blossom and Tristan James East; mother, Lorna McIntyre; brothers, Rae Bruce Blossom and wife, Cindy, James Michael Blossom and wife, Tione Joseph, David Andrew Blossom and wife, Carolyn, Robert Quintin Blossom and wife, Kathy; and many other family and friends. Pat was preceded in death by his father, Rea Blossom, and by his son, Jeremiah James Blossom. He was the owner and executive director of Blossom Therapy Consultants, PA and a certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor since 1988. Pat was actively involved in Narcotics Anonymous since 1986 and served at the World Service level from 1989 - 1993. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hiking and fishing. He cowboyed in the Valle Grande and guided in the Pecos Wilderness during his early years. Patrick was proud to be a charter member and first commander of the Sons of the American Legion, Post 0090, Los Alamos. Music was his passion. Pat was a founding member of the band, "White Rock". He was instrumental in the creation of the 6 p.m. music service at Trinity-on-the-Hill Episcopal Church in Los Alamos where he was a lifetime member. Pat also played on the music team for several Encounters and Crusillos for the Episcopal Diocese of the Rio Grande. He has been a member of St. Marks on the Mesa Episcopal Church since 1992. Friends may visit French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2008. Mass will be celebrated at 4:00 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2008 at St. Marks on the Mesa Episcopal Church, 431 Richmond Pl. NE. Cremation will follow.
