ANAYA -- Rudy Anaya was born September 16, 1930 in Los Angeles, CA. He passed away Sunday, June 29, 2008 in Rio Rancho, NM. Rudy was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; his children, Janice (Gary), Jackie, Michael (Loretta), Diana (Bill), Rhonda (Vanessa), Nichole (Jerry), Patrick (Samantha) and Raymond (Jennifer); sister, Anna; special sister-in-law, Beverly; nine grandchildren; 19reat-grandchildren; other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. She is survived by her children, Frank Yanni Jr., Christine Rodriguez, Mark Yanni, and Leandera Yanni; six grandchildren, Francesca, Christopher, Nicholas, Reggie, Michael and Natalee; five great-grandchildren, Devony, Kaylyn, Jacob, Jewelz, and Jullian; her six siblings, Rosemary, Anastacio, Lydia, Mickey, Lawrence and Loraine. ARAGON -- Rosaura Aragon, 87, passed away on June 26, 2008. She was born June 29, 1920 to Antonio and Soledad Trujillo. Rosaura is survived by two daughters, Ruth Velarde and Neomi Montoya; six grandchildren, Robert and Richard Alcantar, Roger Velarde and his wife Kim, Rosie Wilson and her husband Daniel, Andrew Montoya, Michael Montoya and his wife Anne; 13 great grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; sister, Isabel Trujillo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Aragon in 1990; grandchild, Archie Montoya; great-great-grandchild, Tiffani Montoya; two brothers; and three sisters. Rosaura was a faithful member of the Central Seventh-day Adventist Church, she loved cooking, praying, and spending time with her family. Pallbearers will be Robert and Richard Alcantar, Roger Velarde, Andrew and Michael Montoya, Miguel Alcantar. BURNWORTH -- Dewey Burnworth passed away peacefully on June 29, 2008 at the age of 88, with the same broad warm smile that he gave to everyone he encountered throughout his life. He was born April 9, 1920 in Confluence, PA and moved to Roswell, NM in 1925. Albuquerque has been his permanent residence since 1951. Dewey is survived by his wife, Joan Schiela; and his sons, Victor Burnworth of Albuquerque and Scott Burnworth of Fort Collins, CO; as well as stepson, Jim Schiela and wife Ruth Ann of Horn Lake, MS; and step-daughter, Julie Mora of Albuquerque plus two grandchildren in Fort Collins, CO, James and Katie Burnworth. Dewey is also survived by his siblings, Frieda Cook of Capitan, NM, Lu Coll of Albuquerque, Ralph Burnworth and wife Anna Belle of Roswell, NM, Faye Creagh of Phoenix, AZ, Dale Burnworth and wife Lola of Las Cruces, NM, Wayne Burnworth and wife Faye of Visalia, CA and Robert Burnworth of Portales, NM. He was predeceased by his first wife, Frances, in 1967. Dewey proudly served in WW II and survived Iwo Jima. He retired as Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserve, and his active and reserve service spanned 22 years. After the war, he attended the University of New Mexico before becoming a businessman, owning and managing numerous local businesses. For 50 years, Dewey belonged to the Rio Grande Kiwanis Club and served as president four times and as state Lieutenant Governor. He was also a member of the Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce and served on the Military Affairs Committee. Dewey joined the Albuquerque Central United Methodist Church in 1952. He served on their Board and regularly attended the Asbury Sunday School class. Dewey enjoyed his retirement years traveling and camping extensively with Joan, and when back in town, having coffee with his many long standing friends and business associates. More recently, Dewey and Joan made many new friends at the Los Volcanes Senior Center on the Albuquerque West Mesa. Dewey fulfilled his aspiration to be remembered as a good officer and a true gentleman. He will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral Services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel on Thursday, July 3, 2008. A viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m., with the Funeral Services at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. CARRILLO -- Agnes B. Carrillo, 69, went home to be with the Lord on June 29, 2008. She was a life long member of the Catholic Church. Agnes is survived by her husband Carlos S. Carrillo of 52 years; her children, Diane Reyes and husband Joe, Debra Maestas, Eileen Burks and husband Tommy, Sandra Lente, John Carrillo and wife Anna; her grandson, Danny Boy, whom she raised as her son, along with her other 12 beloved grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers Roger Olguin and wife Rose, Florian Olguin and wife Mercy, Augustine Olguin and wife Margie, Avilio Olguin and wife Evelyn, David Olguin and Femia Hurbina, Larry Olguin and wife Marilyn and Melvin Maldonado; two sisters, Viola Montoya and Ernie Lucero and Mary Paiz and husband Johnny. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Church of the Ascension. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday also at Church of the Ascension at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Daniel Martinez, Jacob Maestas, Robert Chavez, Carlos Carrillo, Joey Lente and Tomas Talamante. CASSIDY -- Paul T. Cassidy, 61, passed away unexpectedly June 26, 2008. He leaves behind his pride and joy, his daughter, Alexis Jacquelyn Cassidy, 17, of the family home. He is also survived by his beloved nephew, Fernando Garcia; Paul also leaves many, many friends and family and also his estranged wife of many years, Elizabeth M. Cassidy. Paul will always be remembered for his quick wit, his opinions on current events and politics, his love for chocolate and diet coke. Paul T. Cassidy was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served in Korea. He began making his mark on the world when he attended St. Mary's Catholic School. In those years, he made lifelong friends that meant the world to him; J. Saavedra, N. Saavedra, T. Baca, T. Riczek, J. Brenred and F. Garcia and too many others to mention. Paul grew up in Mora, NM, where he built his life foundation and learned to speak Spanish fluently. Paul loved sports, traveling, business opportunities and his cats. He was without a doubt, a damn good salesman and throught his career was successful in every endeavor he was presented with. Paul will be very much missed by all of his friends, family and the entire staff of Mobil Mini, Inc. He will always remain in the hearts and spirits of those who loved him. A Visitation will be held at Salazar and Sons Wednesday July 2, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be Thursday July 3, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St Therese Church. DEATON -- Mack A. Deaton, Jr., a loving husband, father, and grandfather passed on peacefully on June 28, 2008. A resident of Albuquerque since 1946, he served in the Army Air Corps during WWII and worked at Sandia Laboratories for 35 years. Mack is survived by loving wife, Ruth; son, Larry; daughter, Amy Steider and spouse, Tim; and grandchildren, Cameron, Haley, and Brandon Steider. At his request, no Memorial Service will be held. The immediate family will observe a private gathering. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to The Hospice Foundation, 8100 Constitution Pl. DOUGLASS -- June Douglass, age 88, passed away peacefully at St. David's hospital in Round Rock, TX on June 27, 2008, after a brief illness. June was born in Grenville, NM on December 25, 1919, and lived on the family farm east of Grenville and worked for the government for several years. June was preceded in death by her mother, Myrtle Hartman; her father, Clifton Douglass; four sisters, Lorene Scott, Evelyn Knaub, Louise Douglass, Frances Smith; and one brother, Robert Douglass. June entered the ministry in October, 1942, teaching the doctrine and principles of the New Testament for 66 years. She labored in Texas, Montana, and Oregon until her death. Her work took her to Europe, South Africa, the Philippines, and Korea. June is survived by three sisters, Winnie Rice of Dumas, TX, Dollie and husband, Aubrey Oldham of Albuquerque, NM and Nellie Denio of Albuquerque, NM; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, co-workers and scores of friends. Services will be held at Wednesday, July 2, 2008, 1:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. FUSCO -- Richard A. Fusco, Sr., 73, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2008. Richard was born July 23, 1934 the son of Lawrence and Vilma Ottina Fusco in West New York, NJ. He lived in Livingston, NJ, before moving to Rio Rancho in 1979. He was a Corrections Lieutenant for the Bernalillo County Detention Center before retiring in 1996. Beloved husband of Janet (nee: Auletto); devoted father of Karen, and Richard Fusco, Jr and wife Nicole; dear brother of Lawrence, Jr., Alfred and Doris Fusco, Rosemarie Botta and Lorraine Augusta; loving grandfather of Jaclyn Seaburn, Samantha Fusco and Skylar Ware. GALLO -- Lynn May Gallo, 46, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2008. Lynn was born January 17, 1962 the daughter of Robert F. and Phyllis Jeanne Seibert May in Great Lakes, IL. She graduated from North Chicago High School in 1980, where she was a member of the National Honor Society. Lynn was married to Jose Gallo on June 17, 1984. She was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis, in 2005. Besides her husband, Lynn is survived by her father, Robert F. May of Albuquerque; two sons, Brian Ricardo and Robert Franklin Gallo of Albuquerque; two sisters, Diane May, CSM, and Laurie May Burkholder of Colorado Springs, CO; and one brother, Paul Charles May and wife Melanie of Montgomery, AL; nephew, Kurt Bastian; and niece, Lauren Bastian.
