BACA -- Josie M. Baca, 90, died December 21, 2007. She is survived by her son, Le Roy Vaughn; grandsons, Adam Vaughn and wife, Denine Morelos-Vaughn, and Royce Vaughn; great-grandchildren, Marisa, Estevan and Jenika; sisters, Adela, Manuela and Mary Jane. Josie was preceded in death by her two brothers, George and Manuel; sisters, Tulita and Terri; parents, Massimo and Adela Baca, her daughter, Lorraine Garza and grandson, Le Roy Vaughn II. Josie was a loving mom and grandmother and will be greatly missed. BUCKNER -- Consuelo (Connie).--Mrs. Consuelo (Connie) Buckner, passed away peacefully at home on December 21, 2007, with her loving family by her side. Connie is the beloved mother to Rudy Buckner and wife, Cindy, Shirley Budetti, Sandra Worden and husband, DIck, Ricky Buckner and Shelly Buckner-Padilla. Connie is also survived by, two sisters, Dorothy Wood, Mary Lou Armijo and husband, Joe; one brother, Charlie Vau and wife, Betty; eleven grandchildren, Nickie, Jason, Jessica, Kimberly, Consuelo, Ryan, Mindy, Anthony, Dillon, Angelo and Julian; many nieces, nephews, grand nephews, grand nieces, cousins and many friends. Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy, a son, Robert and her parents, Julian and Juanita Vau. Connie was a member of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church and San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church. Connie was devoted to her children, grandchildren, family, friends and to her church. GURULE -- Isaiah Gregorio Gurule went home to be with the Lord on December 13, 2007 at the age of 18. He was born on November 13, 1989 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Andrew and Rene Gurule. He is survived by his sister, Destinee Gurule; grandparents, Ernie and Lydia Gurule; Raymond and Rosalea Sandoval; great-grandmothers, Telesflora Sanchez and Louise Baca. Also surviving are his Aunts and Uncles Debra Gurule, Rhonda and Mike Sanchez, Raymond and Katrina Sandoval, Rodney Sandoval, and Ruby Sandoval; and many Great Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Isaiah was a senior at Valley High School where he was involved in Student Senate. He loved to play basketball and enjoyed racing and riding his dirt bike and playing video games with all his friends. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. The sky and stars has never looked so pretty since heaven took you! We all Love you and will miss you dearly. HANN -- Martha Jane Underwood Hann "God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be, so He put his arms around you and whispered, "Come to Me." With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away, and although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay." Martha Jane Underwood Hann, 80, known to almost all as "Marty", took her journey into God's arms on December 20, 2007. She was born June 7, 1927 in Crooksville, Ohio and was raised as an only child and grandchild. Her parents, Mary Jane Underwood and Roy Underwood and her daughter, Mary Lynn Hann Baldwin Williams, preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Jane Hann Davalos; her granddaughters, Martha Jane Baldwin and her husband, Dr. Ivan Ortiz, Sarah Baldwin, and grandson, Keith Baldwin, as well as grandsons, James-Vincent Davalos, Marcus Davalos and their father Ruben Davalos. She was also great grandmother to Ivan Ortiz Jr. and Andres Ortiz. Marty came to Albuquerque in 1948, where she became an avid gardener and master bridge player. She was one of the first members of the Rose Society of Albuquerque. She was a gourmet cook, loved to entertain, had a quick wit, was well read and loved to start a lively conversation on a variety of topics. She was known for collecting antiques, seamstress abilities, needlepoint, as well as being involved in the swimming activities of her daughters. She was one of the first members of St. Johns United Methodist Church in Albuquerque. Her well known laugh will be missed by her special friends John Gill, Kay Sumpter, and Liz Schlessinger and individual thanks to Bettie Rodriguez, a special angel who helped her to keep her independence. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held December 28, 2007, 11:00 am, at St. Johns United Methodist Church, 2626 Arizona NE.

HUYSMAN -- John Huysman, 84, a resident of Cedar Crest and formerly of New York, died Saturday, December 22, 2007. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Theresa Huysman of Cedar Crest; daughters, Rae Ellen LaLicata and husband Sam of San Diego, Kathleen Panzarella and husband John of Winchester, KY, Theresa Lagerway and husband Guy of Albuquerque, and June Morris and husband Jamie of Stanley; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Vincent Huysman of Georgia. John was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed. LARRONDE -- Treelan John Larronde, beloved son, brother, father and friend, came to his family on November 3, 1978 and was taken from his family on the winter solstice, Friday, December 21, 2007. He was born in Janesville, CA and raised in Pie Town, NM, later making his home in Albuquerque. LEE -- Philomena Lee, a devout wife, mother, and Catholic, passed away on November 13, 2007 due to complications related to late-stage gastric cancer. She was one-day shy of her 59th birthday. Born in Daegu, South Korea, Philomena immigrated to the United States in 1975, and spent nearly half her life in Albuquerque. She is survived by her husband, Ihn P. Lee M.D., and her three children, Stephen, John, and Grace. In lieu of flowers, donations would be welcome to the Robert M. MARQUEZ -- Larry A. Marquez, 54, a resident of Seboyeta, New Mexico passed away on December 23, 2007, and is now in Heaven with our Lord. Larry is the beloved father to Paul Marquez and wife, Liz, Jessica Marquez and companion, Rodney Holmes. Larry is also survived by his mother, Nora Marquez; two sisters, Jo Ann Garcia and husband, Salvador, Betty Maestas and husband, Lee; two brothers, Euselio Marquez and wife, Freda, Eddie Marquez and companion, Anna Anaya; his companion, Ruby Marquez and her children, Melissa and Jason; the mother of his children, Elvira Montano and husband, Samuel; his grandchildren, Kevin, Brian, Shawn, Joshua, Tyler, Caleb, Mercedez and Camren; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. PEREA -- Johnnie Perea Sr., a resident of Los Lunas, New Mexico passed away in an Albuquerque Hospital on Friday, December 21, 2007. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta, NM. Johnnie had a long outstanding career as a Valencia County Deputy Sheriff retiring from the Department after 32 years of dedicated service. He was an avid outdoorsman and when he went hunting, fishing, or camping it was always with his family. Johnnie was the center of his family and he will be dearly missed by all. He is preceded in death by his son, Michael; parents, Ruben Peralta and Mercedes Moya Perea; three brothers, Eliseo, Frank, and Clovis Perea; one sister, Mary Torres; and his maternal grandmother, Elijah "Eita" Moya. Johnnie is survived by his loving companion of 28 years, Velma Hardesty; his dear friend and loving mother of his children, Mela Otero Perea; eleven loving children, Tranquilino, Berto, Ruben, Johnny Jr. and Kathy, Leonard and his wife, Betty, Ed Hardesty and his wife, Kerri, Ofelia Diaz and her husband, Johnny, Scott Hardesty and Lori, Catherine Jojola and her husband, Pat, Michelle Gallegos and her husband, Tim, and Carlos Perea and his wife, Christine; nineteen grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren with one on the way; one brother-in-law, Santiago Torres; and one sister-in-law, Rosaleen Perea. He is also survived by his many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to give a special thank you to all the staff at the Los Lunas Dialysis Center. All services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta beginning with a viewing on Wednesday, December 26 at 6:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A final visitation will be held on Thursday, December 27 at 9:30 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. with Father Hoi Tran officiating. PFAFF -- Charlotte E. Pfaff, 89, died December 23, 2007. Born at the family farm near Amsterdam, Idaho she moved to New Mexico in 1942 residing in Las Vegas, Santa Fe, Los Alamos, Albuquerque, Pajarito Village and Corrales. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Charles A. and Celeste R. (Sligar) Human, husband Daniel Pfaff, daughter Barbara E. Pfaff, and granddaughter Ashlee G. Pfaff. She is survived by her sons Norman Pfaff (Janice), and Richard Pfaff (Jan), five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Her family appreciates the gracious care she received from the staff of the memory unit at Sandia Springs Senior Living Community and the services of SolAmor Hospice. ROBINSON -- Steven Michael Robinson, age 55, died Wednesday, December 19th, 2007 at the New Mexico VA Medical Center, after a long and brave effort to recover from pneumonia and complications from a massive stroke. He was born February 20, 1952 in Indianapolis, IN to James Thomas and Barbara Joan (Lawrence) Robinson. Steve was a graduate of Zionsville High School (IN) and honorably served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Upon returning to civilian life he entered the construction trade. He was a long-time resident of Albuquerque and a sometime resident of Phoenix, AZ. Steve was loved and will be missed by his wife, Deborah (Johnson) Robinson; his daughter, Melanie Taylor Robinson; his stepdaughter, Mrs. Richard (Angela) Romero; his mother, Barbara Robinson; and the following family members; brothers, James (Deborah) Robinson and Joseph (Shawn) Robinson; sisters, Mrs. Vincent (Debra) Conners, Christina Hodgson and Mrs. Brian (Brenda) Lyman; nieces, Taira Robinson, Cailee and Courtney Robinson; nephew, Dustin (Brandi) Lyman and his children, Seth and Athena; step-granddaughter, Arica Romero and mother-in-law, Caroline Johnson. Of Steve's life accomplishments, he was a devoted father who loved his daughter with all his heart and "more than words can say", and was equally loved in return. SALAZAR -- Emilio Salazar, 77, died December 23, 2007 after a long illness. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betty Jane Salazar; children, Elizabeth Austin and husband Bob, Dr. John A. Salazar and wife, Stephanie; grandchildren, John Austin and wife, Tonya, Michelle Austin, Kenneth Salazar and wife, Amy, Brian Salazar, Andrew Salazar, Kristin Salazar, Jordan Salazar, Kyla Salazar, and Zoe Salazar, and great granddaughter, Madelyn. Emilio served his country in the US Air Force and retired from the U S Postal Service after 30 years. SENA -- Manuel D. "Gordo" Sena passed away at the age of 84 on December 21, 2007 after battling lung cancer. He was born to Pablo and Josefa Sena in Pojoaque,NM. Gordo served in the South Pacific during WWII. He was S FE County Sheriff in the 1950's and as he would say "I was the last Republican Sheriff in S Fe". He is survived by his sister, Mary Quintana; wife, Nellie and her children, Stephanie, Rick and Michelle Aragon and Nicole Jackson and husband, Neal; Gordo's children, Marquita, John and his wife, Geneva, Frank and wife, Diane and Stephanie and husband, Keith; grandchildren, Cenissa, Ursula, Melisaa, Anthony, Natalie, Abby, Jordan and Olivia; great-grandchildren, Brennan and Alyssa; and many nieces and nephews. Cremation will take place. Rosary will be at Berardinelli Funeral Home in Santa Fe on December 28, 2007 at 7:00 p.m.. Mass will be Saturday, December 29, 2007 in Pojoaque, NM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church at 10:00 a.m.

VAZQUEZ -- Lydia Vazquez, 70, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 23, 2007, surrounded by her family. Lydia was born on September 28, 1937 to Prospero and Herlinda (Vizcaino) Velasquez of Silver City, NM. She graduated from Albuquerque High School. Ms. Vazquez worked for the Social Security Administration. Ms. Vazquez was, also, a member of Iglesia Congregacional Unida (UCC), loved to solve puzzles, make blankets, go camping, fishing and travel. She will be fondly remembered for her deep faith and her love of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Ricky Gutierrez, in 1979. She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Emilio C. Artiaga; children, Judy Anaya Castillo and husband, Jesus of Los Lunas, NM, Daniel Gutierrez; Jeanette Gutierrez, and Eileen Gutierrez, all of Albuquerque; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sisters, Lucille Garcia and Lillian Brown; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends who will mourn her passing. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 27, from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the Palm Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, 1100 Coal Ave SE. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 28, at 11:00 A.M. also at the Palm Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services. Ms. Vazquez will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park, Albuquerque. Reverend Daniel Erdman will preside over the services. WELDON -- Eleanor Weldon, 89, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Saturday, December 22, 2007, with her daughter and son-in-law by her side. She is survived by her daughter, Ann M. Terpak of Albuquerque; sons, John (Jack) J. Weldon of Pittsfield, MA and Peter C. Weldon of Satellite Beach, FL; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Weldon of Pittsfield, MA. Eleanor was a member of the Shrine of St. Bernadette. WRIGHT -- Lorenzo M. "Ervin" Wright, 86, began his peaceful journey to reunite with his loved ones on Saturday, December 22, 2007. Lorenzo was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Rose, on Tuesday, December 5, 2006. Also preceding him in death were his sons, Clarence and Steve Wright; his daughters, Edwina Wright Chavez and Darling Wright. He is survived by his children, Ervin Wright, Raymond Wright and wife, Sharon, Liz Wright and husband, Leo Torres, and Joseph Wright, all from Albuquerque, and Cassandra Charles and husband, Mike, from Deer Park, WA; beloved Pancha, his chihuahua; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his in-laws, Gillie and Cathy Castillo of Albuquerque, Virginia and Dewey Buck of Carlsbad, CA, Trini Castillo, Matias and Mary Castillo of Victorville, CA, and Rosita Gabaldon of Los Lunas; many nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.
