KENNEMER -- EDRIC CHARLES Beloved Husband, Son and Brother; Edric Charles Kennemer, 47, passed away, Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at his home. He was born December 3, 1959 in Grants, NM. He was a Senior Electrical Engineer at Intel. Survivors include his wife, Colleen Friel of Rio Rancho; his parents; Don and Beverly Kennemer, Albuquerque; brothers; Chadwick of Mena, AR; Patrick of Ft. Smith, AR; Tedrick Cordova of Mena, AR; aunt, Mattie Selby, Dyer, AR; his father and mother-in-law, Bill and Lois Friel, Las Cruces. KNIGHT -- Derwood Knight was a prestigious lawyer, gallant fighter, and a loyal, loving husband, father and grandfather. He passed away on October 7, 2007 at his home in Scottsdale, AZ. "DK was a devoted man," says his wife, Martha McCullough Knight. "He was courageous and adoring his entire life. He will be missed dearly." Mr. Knight lived a long, abounding life. He was admitted to the practice of law in the State of New Mexico and Federal Courts in 1952 and was a renowned New Mexico lawyer for 45 years. He was a member of the State Bar of New Mexico, American Bar Association and the Center for American and International Law. While in New Mexico, he served on numerous bank boards and assisted in the Organization of Banks. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was assigned to Company K, 114th Infantry. He was an air operations specialist where he arranged and controlled flights, obtained clearances and plotted flight routes. He was stationed in England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. He was awarded a Campaign Medal with five Bronze Stars and the Belgium Fourragere. He briefly served in the New Mexico Army National Guard as First Lieutenant. Because of his innate knowledge, Mr. Knight was selected among few by the U.S. Army to be specially educated. Through this selective program, he attended schools in Washington State, Louisiana and the New Mexico School of Mines in Socorro. In addition to the government program, Mr. Knight attended Ballinger, Floydada, Odessa and Big Springs high schools, the University of Arizona in Tucson and obtained a Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico. Mr. Knight was born on June 28, 1924 in Ballinger, Runnels County, TX to Oscia Olie Knight and Mildred Elinor. He is survived by: Martha, wife of 48 years and of Scottsdale; Pat Dorak, secretary of 52 years and of Albuquerque; three sons, Eric Knight and his wife, Linda, Colorado Springs, John C. Knight and his wife, Dolores "Dodie," of Albuquerque, Lew Knight and his wife, Chris, of Albuquerque; two granddaughters, Martha Ann Knight of Tempe, AZ and Crissy Knight of Florence, Italy.

LOPEZ -- Patricia Ann "Patsy" Lopez went home to be with the Lord on October 9, 2007 at the age of 74. A Rosary will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary. Visitations will be held on Monday, October 15, 2007 between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 9:00 a.m. also at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary. MARTINEZ -- Margie Mary Martinez, 83, passed away Friday, October 12, 2007 at her daughter's home. She was born May 2, 1924 in Albuquerque, a daughter of Andres and Antonia Benavides. Survivors include three sons and two daughters: Tony and wife, Irene Martinez, Baltimore, MD; Jerry Martinez, Monterey Park, CA; Jo-Ann and husband, Sergio Olvera, Sylmar, CA; Andy and wife, Noni Martinez, La Mirada, CA; MargaretAnn Martinez, Rio Rancho, NM; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Beatrice and Jennie Chavez, Albuquerque. MELTON -- Jaime Melton (Young) passed away peacefully in her home October 5, 2007 with her family by her side. MONCAYO -- Esther P. Moncayo, 97 of Santa Rosa, NM died October 10, 2007 in Albuquerque. She was born on January 7, 1910 to the home of Julio and Abedonia Pacheco, one of nine children. Esther was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Seferino Moncayo; three sons, Seferino Moncayo Jr., James Moncayo, and Freddy Moncayo Sr.; and eight siblings. Esther was the last survivor of her generation. She is survived by her seven children: three sons, Benny Moncayo and wife, Esther, Joe Moncayo and wife, Rosie, Johnny Moncayo and wife, Dolores; four daughters, Cecila Ardoin and husband, Ken, Clara Rice and husband, Carl, Rose Guldy and husband, Ed, Tillie Fares; and daughter-in-law, Angie Moncayo; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, other relatives, and friends. Rosary Services were held at 7 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2007 from St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa, NM. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2007 from St. Rose of Lima Church. Burial followed at El Calvario Cemetery in Puerto de Luna. OLESKO -- Evangeline "Mona" Weinlein Olesko, 92, a resident of Albuquerque for 30 years, died Friday, October 12, 2007. She is survived by her son, John Weinlein and wife, Barbara of Cedar Crest, NM; grandchildren, Kirt Weinlein, Sharon Pearson and husband, Marc; three great-grandchildren, Stacia, Justine, and Skylar; sister, Mabel Mason of Hartford, WI; and several other relatives and friends. Mona was preceded in death by her husband, John Olesko; three children, Erna, Bill, and Teresa; brother, Earl; and sister, Margaret. She was born in Hartford, WI on August 16, 1915 to Edward and Amanda Foelske. Mona worked for Mill Print in Milwaukee for over 20 years and retired at the time she moved to Albuquerque in the late '70s. She enjoyed life, loving to sew, garden, play blackjack in Vegas, and read, until she lost her sight. Mona was a loving mother, grandmother and Gigi to her great-grandchildren, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, Tuesday, October 16, 2007, 5:00 p.m. with Pastor John Timothy Plump officiating. Burial of cremated remains will take place at a later date in Milwaukee, WI.
