ARMS -- Lorine Arms, 80, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2006. She was born in Moriarty, NM on January 2, 1926 to Walter and Effie Hughes. She married Euel Arms on February 27, 1946 and is survived by her husband of 60 years. She will be deeply missed by their six children, Doris and David Smith, Evelyn and Gene Mobley, Ernest and Louise Arms, Kathy Arms, Judy McGinty, and Jerry and Elenita Arms. They have 14 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Lorine was blessed with a large loving family and is also survived by three brothers, Lloyd Hughes, Johnny Hughes, and William Hughes; two sisters, Juanita Chappell and Ruth Cook; four sisters-in-law, Mabel, Jettie, Crystal, and Beverly; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends who loved and will miss her. Lorine was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Gertrude Lamb; and three brothers, Jack Hughes, Leon Hughes, and Walter Hughes. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the loving members of the Vista Care hospice team. A Memorial Service, to celebrate and give thanks for her life, will be held at Albuquerque Revival Center, 124 Texas NE. in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on Saturday, June 17, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Moriarty, NM. BENNETT -- Elizabeth Arnett Bennett, 89, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died Monday, June 12, 2006 in Denver, CO, after a short illness. She is survived by her daughters, Kathryn Bennett, of Chimayo, NM, Elizabeth Fisher of Denver, CO, Margaret Brozen, of Potomac, MD; grandchildren, Kim Belleville, Madena Bennett, Matthew Clark, Christy Fisher, Amy Fisher, David Fisher, Josh Brozen, Katie Brozen; and great-grandchildren, Katelyn Belleville, Cullen Belleville, Beth Mills, Marti Mills, and Rose Mills. Mrs. Bennett was preceded in death by her parents, William Dudley and Rowena Arnett; husband of 24 years, James Richard Bennett; and granddaughter, Belen Mills. Services will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Cathedral, 318 Silver SW, with The Rev. Canon Albert W. Tarbell and The Rev. CORDOVA -- Anna Ortiz Cordova was born May 25, 1914 in Truchas, NM. Anna was our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, great-aunt, and friend to all who knew her. She was released of her earthly duties on Saturday, June 10, 2006. Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Estevan R. Cordova; her grandson, Arthur Anaya; her two sons-in-law, Arthur Haar and Alfonso Anaya; her sister, Frutosa Ortiz Vigil; her two brothers, Leopoldo and Nicholas Ortiz; and her parents, Hilario and Pablita Ortiz. Anna is survived by her daughter, Annabel Haar of Amarillo, TX; her son, Steve Cordova and his wife, Isabel of Edgewood, NM; and daughters, Maria Cordova Andrews and husband Paul, and Hazel Montoya and husband Michael, all of Albuquerque; grandsons, Danny Anaya and wife, Imogene of Santa Fe and Christopher Trujillo, Matias Andrews y Cordova, and Nicholas Trujillo, all of Albuquerque; twin granddaughters, Annette and Bernadette Cordova of Oakland, CA; great-grandson, Daniel Anaya and wife, Lindsay of Albuquerque. Anna is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. Wherever Anna went she created a family of friends who will also miss her. With the exception of a few jobs outside of the home, Anna dedicated her life to God, her family, and the extended family of Humankind. In her own modest way she lived a life full of love, tolerance, and acceptance. She fostered many children in her home. Anna was known for her gifted ability to heal and care for children who had been abandoned, neglected, and abused. Her counsel was often sought out by many in whatever community she was part of at the time. Anna will be dearly missed. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2006 at Shepherd of the Valley Presbyterian Church, 1801 Montano Rd. NW in Albuquerque. The viewing will begin at 9:00 a.m., with the Funeral Service beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by a reception at 11:00. GILES -- Theresa Lamberti Giles, beloved wife of Ronald B. Giles, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at the Heart Hospital. She was a life-long resident of Albuquerque. Theresa is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Bowen of Albuquerque; and her sister, Mary Crowley of Cranston, RI. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Alice Lamberti and the sister of the late Charles Lamberti. She was employed at Bob Turner dealership and previously worked at the police athletic league. The Funeral will be held Saturday, June 17, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Charles Church on Coal SE. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association will be greatly appreciated.

GORDON -- Anna C. Gordon, 50, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on June 14, 2006. Anna is survived by her fiance, George D. Ramirez; her mother, Agnes Cline; four children, Lori Cline, Genaro Cano and wife, Anita, Jovanna Gordon, Angelo Gordon and wife, Adrienne; two sisters, Geraldine Cordova and husband, Danny and Melody LaFollette; two brothers, James Gutierrez, Jesse Cline and wife, Deanna; four grandchildren, Amanda, Nicole (Nickkis), Isaiah, and Santiago; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Anna was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Cline. Anna was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation will be Friday in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Gabriella Nieto. Final visitation will be Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. by Father James Moore. JALIFE -- Ruby Jalife, 69, a resident of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 14, 2006. She is survived by her son, Daniel Jalife and wife, Cynthia of Santa Paula, CA; and grandchildren, Nicole and Daniel William. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pastor Pedro Jalife in 1994. Ruby was an active member of the Spanish Baptist Church and was a kind, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. RALF -- John Junior Ralf, 85, died Monday, June 12, 2006 at Presbyterian Hospice in Albuquerque. He passed away after a brief struggle with cancer. John is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Norma Eileen Bunker Ralf, who has tenderly cared for him during these past months. He was born March 10, 1921 in Santa Monica, CA to John Louis Ralf and Beda Wilhelmina Nelson Ralf. While attending Venice High School, he met Norma and they were married May 8, 1943 in Venice, CA. He served in the U.S. Army in the 9201st Tech Svc Unit during World War II as well as the U.S. Marine Corp Reserves in A Company 13th Inf. BN. John served in the Torrance Police Department and the Palos Verdes Police Department in California. In 1958 he purchased Johnny's Muffler Shop in Torrance which was eventually renamed for his daughter, Melody. After selling Melody Muffler in 1972, John and Norma retired to the beautiful mountain resort of Big Bear Lake, CA. He built their home which they enjoyed for 16 years. John was an Elk member for many years before becoming the Exalted Ruler at the Big Bear Lake Lodge in 1982. After leaving Big Bear they lived a few years in Hemet, CA before moving to Albuquerque. They have lived in The Vineyard since 1996 and enjoyed being close to their children and grandchildren. John loved cats, N-gauge trains and never missed a NASCAR, Formula One or Indy 500 race. He knew the names and stats of every driver that ever raced. He was a dedicated family man that loved his wife and daughters fiercely and rejoiced at the birth of every grand and great grandchild. John's love and guidance will be greatly missed. He leaves his three daughters, Cheryl Ralf Harris and husband, Richard of Corrales, NM, Kathy Ralf Davison and husband, Michael of Lake Forest, CA and Melody Ralf Taninies of Des Moines, IA. Also surviving him are his seven grandchildren: Christopher Harris and wife, Denise of San Diego, CA, Michael Harris and wife, Betsy of Chicago, IL, Charistiana "Cari" Harris Barry and husband, Bill of Corrales, NM, Julia Davison Norquist and husband, Noel of Lake Forest, CA, Nicole Davison of Lake Forest, CA, Sandra Taninies Hoover and husband, Zach of Des Moines, IA, and Autumn Taninies of Des Moines, IA. There are also 13 great-grandchildren; Clayton and Abby Harris, Joshua Harris, Jacob, Gregory, Eric, Luke, and Laurel Barry, Elizabeth, Alexandra, and Andrew Norquist, Sullivan Hoover, and Angelina Taninies. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Presbyterian Home Care and Hospice at 8100 Constitution Place NE, Suite 400, Albuquerque, NM 87110. The family is deeply appreciative of the tender love, care, and support that Lewis and Dawn of Hospice gave to the family. SCHORR -- Frank A. Schorr, 96, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2006. He was born December 24, 1909 in Brooklyn, NY, a son of William and Philomena Schorr. He worked for New Mexico Timber Co. and later was a partner with his two brothers, John and William with Schorr Bros. Trucking. In 1954, he went to work for the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Gallup. He retired from the BIA in 1976. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine. He leaves one son, Richard and his wife, Carol; grandsons, Ron and wife, Kelly, Eric; and great-grandchildren, Ryan and Alexis. He is also survived by his brother, William. He led a very interesting life and will be dearly missed. The Holy Rosary will be recited Saturday, June 17, 2006 at 5:00 p.m. at French Mortuary-Westside Chapel, where friends may visit one hour prior. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Monday, June 19, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd., Rio Rancho. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. TELLEZ -- Placido Tellez was born June 4, 1944. He passed away Thursday, June 15, 2006. Placido was preceded in death by his mother, Delfinia Garcia and step-father, Poncho Garcia; sister, Helen Gurule; brothers, Joe and Eloy Tellez. He is survived by one sister, Hermancita Lerma who resides in Tucson, AZ; a daughter, Mary Lee and grandchildren; as well as his good friend, Katie. Placido was a three generation uncle to Mary and Michael Apodaca, Sandra Aviles, Henry Gurule Jr., Patsy Lucero, JoAnn Vigil, and many more nieces and nephews. Placido has gone home to be with the Lord and he will be greatly missed.
