GREEN -- Mrs. Inez Green, 90, a resident of Albuquerque and a former resident of Laguna, N.M., passed away on August 8, 2004. Mrs. Green is the beloved wife of 65 years to Mr. Herbert Green. Mrs. Green is also survived by one daughter, Barbara Paulos; three grandchildren, Ken Paulos Sr., Paul Paulos, and Shannon Green; four great-grandchildren, Amy Paulos, Steven Paulos, Ken Paulos Jr., and Lena Inez Paulos; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her sons, Ted and Patrick Green. A visitation for Mrs. Green will be Friday morning, August 13, 2004 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Casa Blanca Presbyterian Church in Casa Blanca, NM. Pastor David Preininger will officiate the service. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Gus Brock, Ken Paulos Sr., Paul Paulos, Daryl Kundargi, Lewis Dailey Jr., and Chester Green. HALL -- Thomas W. Hall died on August 8, 2004 in Leesburg FL. He was born on January 3, 1913 at Lake Vermillion, MN. Preceded in death by wife, Fern (Anderson) Hall; son, Thomas Darby Hall; brother, Tedford Hall; sister, Mary Hall; and Hallie (Elmer) Steiger. Survived by brother, Aaron Hall of Cook, MN; sister, Helen Marturano of Zimmerman, MN; several nieces, nephews; and friend, Neva Culbertson. For many years he worked for the US Dept. of Labor in the Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training. He lived in Vienna, VA and Albuquerque, NM. Member of the following organizations: 64 years of service to the United Assoc. of Plumbing and Pipefitting, local union 412, Albuquerque. JANIS -- Beverly J. Janis, 75, a resident of Albuquerque since 1967, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2004 after losing her second battle with cancer. She is survived by her three children, Jerry Janis and wife, Ginny, Teresa McCarthy and husband, Jack, and Tim Janis, all of Albuquerque; four granddaughters, Michelle Janis, Stephanie Janis, Katie McCarthy and Colleen McCarthy. Beverly was born and raised in St. Paul, MN where she met and married her husband, Jerome W. Janis. He became a career officer in the U.S. Air Force and they took off on a 21-year journey of being stationed and living in many different places throughout the United States, Japan, Germany and Belgium, before Jerome retired in Albuquerque in 1970. After losing her husband in 1993, Bev's life centered on her children, granddaughters and a close circle of friends. She will be remembered as a person who took a sincere interest in the lives of people she met and was always eager to offer kindness and support. A Celebration Mass will be held Saturday, August 14, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Community Church, 12500 Carmel NE. The family will hold a private Interment at Santa Fe National Cemetery where Beverly will be laid to rest with her late husband Jerome. JOHNSON -- Dale Foster Johnson. A resident of Albuquerque for 42 years. Born May 16, 1931 in Aspen, CO, died August 9, 2004 in Albuquerque, NM. Preceded in death by father, Carl Johnson and mother, Eunice Johnson. Survived by beloved wife of 50 years, Shiori Johnson; sons, Gary Johnson of Apple Valley, MN, Roy Johnson of Lafayette, CO, Zack Johnson of Salt Lake City, UT; sisters, Carletta McLain of Eaton, CO, Irene Conner of Aspen, CO; brother, Harold Johnson of Wyoming; and grandchildren, Dale Johnson, Logan Johnson, Theresa Johnson, Anna Johnson, and Helena Johnson. Dale was a good husband and best friend to his wife; he enjoyed dancing with her every chance he could. He was a great father and sensei to his boys and was loved by everyone he touched. Though there may have been greater men, there has never been a greater father. He was an animal lover and had a special relationship with his dog, Niji. Being a lifelong student of knowledge and wisdom as well as a self taught philosopher, he left this world as he lived in it - as a true gentleman. In keeping with his philosophy and wishes, in lieu of flowers, please spend more time with your family and loved ones.

JONES -- Amelia Rose Jones, 3, went home to be with God on August 10, 2004. Amelia was diagnosed six weeks ago with Glioblastoma Multiforme, which is a grade 4-brain tumor. She was at home surrounded with the people and things she loved most. She is survived by her parents, Richard and Misty Jones; big brother, Matt Jones; grandparents, Molly (Mammaw) Bazan, Andy Garcia, Joyce and Bill Leonards, and Harold and Linda Jones; great-grandparents, Lucy Bazan, John Bazan, Gloria Mena, and Gen Watkins; uncles and aunts, Tio Nino Carlos and Tia Nina Stephanie Garcia, Darla and Chris Henderson, Robert Jones, and Harold Jones, Jr.; cousins, Alexia, Jackie, Josh, Spencer, Kit, Kristin, and Austin; numerous great-aunts, -uncles, and cousins. In Amelia's 40 months, 3 days, and 35 minutes here on earth, she has touched so many people's lives. She was truly an Angel amongst us. Service will be held on Friday, August 13, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John's United Methodist Church, 2626 Arizona NE, with Pastor John E. Schwarting officiating. LIBO -- Gina Martha Libo rests in peace after a long, brave struggle on August 11, 2004 in Las Cruces, NM. Born in Ann Arbor, MI on June 20, 1952, she was the daughter of Dr. Lester Libo of Albuquerque and the late Betty Laws Libo of Santa Fe. After graduating from Sandia Prep in Albuquerque, she received her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Nursing at the University of New Mexico. Gina received her Ph.D. in Business Administration at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces in 1996. She was on the faculty at NMSU College of Nursing. She is survived by her father and his wife, Dr. Mary Ann Conley; her three children, Maggie, Hannah, and Sam Feil and their father, Dr. Paul Feil, friend and former husband of many years. Gina will also be missed by her brother, Victor Libo and his wife, Dedee; and her sisters, Felicia and Lesley Libo; as well as nieces, Emily and Jessica; and nephews, Thomas and Justin. Gina will live in the hearts of her soul sisters, Ellen Goldsmith, Anna Schreiber, and Simy Allan. Her love for life is reflected by her many interests and activities, ranging from past presidency of Temple Beth El and its Sisterhood in Las Cruces, to being a Girl Scout leader, soccer mom, and cat enthusiast. In celebration of her life, services will be held at Grahams Mortuary in Las Cruces on Sunday, August 15, 2004 at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at Masonic Cemetery. In honor of Gina, who loved bright colors, colorful garb at the service is requested. The family would like to thank Mesilla Valley Hospice. LOPEZ -- Gloria Mascarenas Lopez, 74, went home to be with the Lord on August 10, 2004. She was born on November 1, 1929 in Telluride, CO. She is preceded in death by Joe Mascarenas and her son, Michael Robert Mascarenas. Gloria is survived by her husband, Lorenzo Lopez; her son, Joe Mascarenas Jr. and wife, Veronica; daughters, Mary Lou Peralta and husband, Thomas, Mary Ann Mascarenas and Cathy Pohl and husband, Michael; brothers, Joe Rivera and Pete Lovato and wife, Leonora; sisters, Mela Valdez and Vangie Turrietta; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by Freddie and Lawrence Lopez. Gloria is also survived by her step-children, Bruce and Mary Ann Nieto, Leroy and Patty Lucero, John and Betty Lopez, Rudy and Dorothy Lopez, Gavino and Peggy Lopez, Billy and Cathy Lopez, Lorraine Flores and Eddie "Tacho" Lopez; 27 step-grandchildren and 29 step-great-grandchildren. Gloria will be deeply missed by her loving family. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning, August 13, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. MORGAN -- Jack MacGee Morgan, former long-time New Mexico State Senator, 80, saw his last sunrise early in the morning of August 11, 2004 after a valiant battle against cancer. Jack was born in Portales, NM on January 15, 1924 to the late George Albert and Mary Rosana Baker Morgan. A World War II veteran, Jack proudly served as an officer on the USS Mitchell, destroyer escort, in the United States Navy from 1942-1946. Jack graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, receiving his BBA in 1948 and his law degree in 1950. True to his commitment to public service, Jack accepted an appointment in 1973 to fill the unexpired term of then State Senator Don Hargrove. Jack served as State Senator, representing San Juan County, District 1, from 1973 -1988. During his terms, Senator Morgan was instrumental in getting improved roads for the San Juan County area as well as leading an effort to bring a railroad to this area. During his term in office, Senator Morgan held many leadership positions including Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee. He also served on the Judiciary and Education Committees, the Revenue Stabilization Committee and the Environmental Health Study Committee and was chairman of the Four Corners Transportation Committee. He also served on and was past chairman of the Southwest Regional Energy Council. He was a member and past president of the Kiwanis Club in Portales and Farmington. He was also a member of the Elks Club in Farmington. Jack served on the Board of Directors of Ziems Ford Motor Company, Merrion Oil Company, Arizona Public Service and Wells Fargo (formerly First National Bank of Farmington), and Farmington Museum Foundation, as well as other local boards. He was admitted to the New Mexico Bar in 1950 and practiced in New Mexico for his entire 54-year career. His practice varied, but his true love was estate planning. Jack placed more value on helping people than on making money, and he never turned a client away for inability to pay. During his years of practice, he could be seen having a cup of coffee at the old Pancake Alley with friends, family members, and clients. Jack Morgan was a lawyer's lawyer. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and neighbor, Jack is survived by his wife of 57 years, Peggy Flynn Cummings Morgan; his children, Marilyn Morgan Montoya, Rebecca Morgan, Claudia Morgan-Gray, and Jack MacGee Morgan, Jr.; and other family: Patrick Montoya, Elaine Hinnant, Weldon R. Gray, Hannah Morgan, Jessica May, John May, Grace May, Amanda Morgan, Mary Morgan, Zachary Moreno, Lori Edney, Brittany Edney, Danielle Edney, Debbie Badger, Corky Francis, Bobbi Morgan, and Roger Sheak. A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 13, 2004, at the First Presbyterian Church in Farmington. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to the Connley Hospitality House, the Northwest Hospice, or the charity of your choice. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to Dr. Jeff Neidhart, Dr. Joseph Pope, and the entire staff of the 4th floor medical ward of San Juan Regional Medical Center for their loving and compassionate care of Daddy Jack.
