Gloria Mascarenas Lopez, 74, went home to be with the Lord on August 10, 2004. She was born on November 1, 1929 in Telluride, CO. She is preceded in death by Joe Mascarenas and her son, Michael Robert Mascarenas. Gloria is survived by her husband, Lorenzo Lopez; her son, Joe Mascarenas Jr. and wife, Veronica; daughters, Mary Lou Peralta and husband, Thomas, Mary Ann Mascarenas and Cathy Pohl and husband, Michael; brothers, Joe Rivera and Pete Lovato and wife, Leonora; sisters, Mela Valdez and Vangie Turrietta; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by Freddie and Lawrence Lopez. Gloria is also survived by her step-children, Bruce and Mary Ann Nieto, Leroy and Patty Lucero, John and Betty Lopez, Rudy and Dorothy Lopez, Gavino and Peggy Lopez, Billy and Cathy Lopez, Lorraine Flores and Eddie "Tacho" Lopez; 27 step-grandchildren and 29 step-great-grandchildren. Gloria will be deeply missed by her loving family. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning, August 13, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Johnny Ray Pohl, Joe Ray Mascarenas, Joseph Mascarenas, Jim Bertsch, Gavino Lopez, and Johnny Lopez. Honorary pallbearers will be Curtis Peralta, Ernest Phil Garcia, and Fredrick Mascarenas. Services are in the care of: GARCIA MORTUARY 717 Stover Ave. S.W. 243-5222
