Ross -- Stella C. Ross, age 85, born February 2, 1917 in New York State a resident of Albuquerque for over 50 years, passed away on January 1, 2003 in Modesto, CA, after residing with her niece for the past year and a half. She is preceded in death by her brother, James Carras; sister, Sophia Stavros, and husband, Abraham Ross. During her years of employment, Stella, was a beautician and lastly a court recording person. She leaves behind many friends and family, namely a niece, Toni Gillihan and Larry Gillihan; nephews, Nick and Mitch Stavroulakis; 9 great nieces and nephews; and 7 great-great nieces and nephews all from California. So many friends to mention will be left behind in Albuquerque who also called her Aunt Stella. She will be greatly missed and forever loved by all. Services will be held at 11:30 AM, Tuesday, January 7, 2003 at St. George Greek Orthodox Church 308 High St. SE with Fr. Mario Giannopoulos officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Park 700 Yale Blvd SE. Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave SE is handling arrangements.
