Baca -- Patsy Baca, 60, a resident of Albuquerque for 30 years, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2001. She was born December 18, 1940 in Socorro. Patsy was preceded in death by her grandmother, Pablita Peralta and her brother, Ernest Scott Peralta. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Eddie Baca, and sons Tony and Joey Baca, all of Albuquerque; and her aunt, Lorraine Peralta, of Socorro. A Memorial Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2001 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1818 Coal Pl SE. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am on Saturday, February 24th, also at St. Charles. Honorary Pallbearers are all her close friends at B.F.G. Mark V. Interment will be in San Miguel Catholic Cemetery in Socorro. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Patsy's memory to the American Cancer Society, 5800 Lomas NE, 87110. Bell -- Duval Scott Bell, passed away February 18, 2001 in Phoenix, AZ. He was born on June 18, 1943 in Ft. Worth, TX and spent a considerable part of his adult life as a resident of Albuquerque, NM. Scott is survived by his wife of 35 years, Marcia Anne; two sons, Dr. Matthew Clay Bell and wife, Marybeth Doyle Bell of Oceanside, CA, and Eric Scott Bell of Glendale, AZ, where Scott and Marcia have resided since 1998. He is also survived by sisters, Gwen Bell Kubosh and Lora Bell of Albuquerque; brothers-in-law, Randy and wife, Denise Beyer, nephew, Nathan and niece, Erin, Las Cruces, NM, David Beyer, Ojai, CA, John V. and wife, Joan Beyer and nephew, Brian of Tucson, AZ; and also his father and mother-in-law, John and Ruth Byer of Albuquerque. Scott was a loving husband, father, and brother, of many other relatives and dedicated friends. Brito -- Archie Jake Brito, age 44, a 33 year resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2001. He was preceded in death by his father, Jake Brito. Butler -- James Edward Butler, 58, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque died, Tuesday, February 20, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Mary Dora Butler of the family home; daughter, Malinda Merry Ortega and husband, Peter of Los Lunas, NM; sons, Edward James Butler of Norfolk, VA, Paul Stephen Butler and wife, Kelly of Simla, CO and Joel Oren Butler of Albuquerque; grandchildren, April Marie Butler and James Edward Butler both of Simla, CO; brother, Frank Forrest and wife, Betty of Albuquerque; mother, Margery Butler; nine nieces and nephews; and 12 great-nieces and nephews. James shared his love for all around him, friends weren't just friends but became family. He considered it a privilege to serve the New Mexico State Police and the citizens of New Mexico for 25 years. He retired as Lieutenant and Commander of the New Mexico State Police Swat Team after which he was a general contractor & owner of Leaf-It-To-Us. Delleney -- Marilyn L. Delleney, 71, an Albuquerque resident since 1969, died Tuesday, February 20, 2001. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jim Delleney of Albuquerque; son, Michael Delleney and wife, Mary Ann of Folsom, CA; daughter, Susan Savoie and husband, Scott of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Berch Savoie and wife, Jodi of Albuquerque, Jimmie Savoie and wife, Kristy of 29 Palms, CA, Samantha Savoie of Albuquerque and John Delleney of Folsom, CA; great-grandchildren, Tyler Savoie and Stayton Savoie, both of Albuquerque and Mackenzi Savoie of 29 Palms, CA. Mrs. Delleney had been an active member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church since 1972. She taught the Ruth Sunday School Class at Eastern Hills since 1976. Mrs. Delleney won many awards for cooking, baking, sewing and knitting at state fairs in New Mexico, Iowa and California. She was formerly active with the Republican Party of New Mexico. Mrs. Delleney was an expert marksman and had won several awards for marksmanship. She was an avid golfer. The most important aspects in her life were her family and her church. Marilyn was an eternal optimist ¯ a real ¯Mary Sunshine to all who knew her. There is now an empty place on earth but a new member in Heaven's kitchen. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 23, 2001 at Eastern Hills Baptist Church, 3100 Morris, NE, with Pastor Larry Miller, officiating. Emhoolah -- Romanita (Romy) Shackelford Emhoolah, 74, a resident of Albuquerque since 1980, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2001. Romy was born December 25, 1926 the daughter of Romain and Wauneta Harrison Shackelford in San Diego, California. She enrolled at Haskell Institute, Lawrence, Kansas, an all Indian Boarding School. After graduating in 1945, she attended San Diego State University, the University of Houston, and Oklahoma State University before marrying and raising a family. In 1976, she met and married Farrell Emhoolah who also was a Haskell Institute alumnus. Later, in 1980 she and Farrell relocated to Albuquerque and resided here until her death. Throughout her life, Romy celebrated her Osage Tribal heritage by participating in Pow Wows and creating Native American arts and crafts. She also actively participated in bowling leagues. Romy is survived by her husband, Farrell, of Albuquerque; one son, Andrew Komorn of Dallas, TX; daughter, Regina Beth Henry of Ft. Smith, AR; two step-daughters, Rayna Emhoolah Old Bull of Bemidji, MN, Donnia Emhoolah Antuna of Grand Prairie,TX; one brother, Romain Shackelford of Pawhuska, OK; one sister, Patricia Shackelford Harriman of San Dimas, CA; grandchildren, Roman Henry, Danielle Komorn, Jason Smith, Jadrien Antuna, Jonessa Resendez; great-grandchildren, Kenneth Paul Smith, Keanu Kitley Smith. The family wishes to thank the caregivers of Sandia Hospice, especially Jean Duncan, Debbie DiSanti, Carol Jordan, and Corina Romero during her long struggle. Creamtion has taken place. Garner -- Paul Garner, 16 years old, April 29, 1984 - February 20, 2001. A student at Valley High School, Paul took his life as we will never understand or accept this loss. He would not want us to weep or grieve. He lived his life, as short as it was, to make others happy and to comfort others. The lesson he taught us and we want to share with all who will listen, Paul rarely asked to be comforted, and so no one saw that he needed more support than us. Listen to your children and friends; share your feelings. Don't let Paul's death be wasted let it save others through you. Green -- Jon Green, 54, a resident of Albuquerque for 15 years, died Tuesday, February 20, 2001. Mr. Green had been the owner for over ten years of Classic Exteriors. He was a member of Knights of Columbus. Henry -- Claude R. Henry, 82, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died on Monday, February 19, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Henry of Albuquerque; sons, Richard L. Henry and wife, Penny of Seaford, VA and Jerry Parsons and fiancé, Helen Bobince of Phoenix, AZ and Richard Crawford and wife, Brenda of Slidell, LA; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Frank Elwin Henry, D.E. Henry and wife, Billie, and Don Dee Henry; nieces; nephews; and many other family and friends. Claude served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Sandia Presbyterian Church, of the N.M. Chapter of Professional Engineers and of the BPOE Elks Lodge #461. He retired from the Corp. of Engineers in 1974. Herrera -- Thomas G., 84, born March 26, 1916, passed away peacefully at his home on February 16, 2001. Mr. Herrera was preceded in death by his son, Luis Alberto Herrera and two brothers, Fermine and Bernardo Herrera. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Barbara; daughter, Laura Herrera; step-daughter, Carrie Peterson and her husband, Wayne; sons, Ofimiano Herrera and his wife, Delores, Adelaido Herrera, Edwardo Faustino Herrera and his wife, Jerry; step-son, Richard Hardy and his wife, Diane; brothers, Adelicio Herrera and his wife, Erlinda, Lorenzo Herrera and wife, Joyce, Reyes Herrera and wife, Ruth; sisters, Elveda Nieto, Marie Dresser and husband, Lester, Lugardita Tafoya, Flavia Otero and Josefita Herrera; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Mr. Herrera was a Lieutenant with the Bernalillo County Sheriffs Department for 30 years, retiring in 1982 and retiring from the Sheriff County Reserves in 1997. For 18 years, he was a distinguished member of the Sandia Mountain Lions Club and has volunteered many hours with the East Mountain Communities. Hertel -- Helen Marie Hertel, also known as the "little pink lady", lost her battle with leukemia on Tuesday, February 20, 2001. She was born October 12, 1920 in Newcastle, WY to Grover and Christine Taylor, and grew up in Sheridan, WY. After completing business college, she accepted a Civil Service position in late 1940 as secretary to the State Administrator of War Bonds. This office handled all the material and correspondence regarding war bonds. Helen met many celebrities who came for bond drives and rallies, including Bing Crosby, Abbott and Costello, and many others. Helen lived in former Governor Carey's mansion along with 35 other girls, all of whom worked for the government during this interesting era. In Cheyenne, she met her husband to be, Rodney M. Hertel, who had returned from college to join the Flying Cadets right after Pearl Harbor. After Rod received his commission, he and Helen were married in Tucson in February of 1943. Helen traveled with Rod until he went to the Pacific Theater as a bombardier on a B-24 crew. After the war, Rod and Helen settled in Cheyenne where Rod worked as a traveling engineer accountant. Their son, Vaughn, was born in February of 1947. In 1951, Rod was recalled to service during the Korean Crisis, and after that made the Air Force his career. Helen, Rod and Vaughn traveled a great deal. One assignment they especially enjoyed was a three year posting in the Basque Country of Northern Spain, where they learned to speak Spanish fluently and made many friends. Rodney retired from the military in 1969 with the rank of Colonel, and the family settled in Albuquerque. Helen was very active in community service. She was Program Chair for Sierra Vista Civitan Club for many years, and always had interesting speakers. She was a member of Paradise Hills United Methodist Church. She was a member of Paradise Hills Women's Golf Association. Both Helen and Rod were active in working with organizations associated with the handicapped. Preceding Helen in death were her husband, Rodney in November of 1996, her son, Vaughn in April of 2000, and her brother, Ty Taylor. Surviving are her sister, Jean Hobein and husband, Byron and family of Anchorage, AK; her brother, Grover Taylor and wife, Helen and family of Juneau, AK; a special niece, Marlene Ketchum of the family home; and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many wonderful friends. Memorial Services will be held Monday, February 26, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. at the Paradise Hills United Methodist Church, 4700 Paradise Blvd. Dr. David Snyman will officiate. Klingaman -- Mr. Edwin (Ed) Joseph Klingaman of Albuquerque, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2001. He is survived by his much beloved wife of 47 years, Ruth Lorene Klingaman; son, Corey Ed Klingaman; daughters, Janice L. Klingaman and Terry J. and husband, Roger J. Ayers; two grandchildren, Erica Raeann and Ryan Joseph Ayers, all of Albuquerque; brothers, Harold Klingaman and wife, Marjorie of Mexico, MO and James Klingaman and wife, Faye of Canton, OH; sister, Ruth Frey and husband, Fred of New Philadelphia, OH; special, brothers and sisters-in-law; along with numerous nieces, nephews, good friends and special neighbors. Mr. Klingaman was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Mary Klingaman; brothers, Robert and Donald Klingaman; and sister, Irene Jack. He was born in Canton, OH and served in the U.S.A.F. during the Korean War. Ed was a dedicated, professional, heavy equipment operator and transport driver, (before retiring in 1996). He was a devoted husband and father. His family was his ultimate joy. He loved spending time with them during all special occasions and holidays. He was the absolute master of his BBQ grill. His BBQ chicken and country style spare ribs would win blue ribbons. You really had to know this wonderful, warm and kind gentle man to appreciate him. He will be terribly missed by his beloved family and friends. Lloyd -- Kenneth H. Lloyd, 83, a forty-nine year resident of Albuquerque, died peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, February 20, 2001. Assigned to Sandia Laboratories for 25 years, he retired from Bell Telephone Laboratories in 1977. An avid golfer and bowler, he also enjoyed photography, bird watching and fly fishing. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Irma; two sons, David and wife, Patty of Lubbock, TX and Kenneth Jr. and wife Lee of Dallas, TX; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Heber, Jr. of Suffield, CT. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2001, at the Lloyd home. Luna -- Mr. Mariano R. Luna Jr., a resident of Albuquerque passed away on February 21, 2001. Mr. Luna is the beloved husband of 45 years to Mrs. Viola Luna. Mcclain -- Edward Insley McClain born March 17, 1945 in Covina, CA., passed away February 22, 2001. He completed his education at Cal State Los Angeles, and was a high school physics and biology teacher prior to serving in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Edward pursued his career as a Marine Biologist for the city of Los Angeles before moving to NM. in the mid 1970's. He achieved his life long dream of designing and building a home in the Manzano Mountains, and shared his love of nature with a multitude of family and friends. Mccleskey -- Blanche "Babe" McCleskey, 88, of Clovis, New Mexico passed away February 19, 2001 at Anna Kaseman Presbyterian Hosptial in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Babe was born January 30, 1913 in Plainview, Texas and moved to Clovis, New Mexico in 1938. She married Marvin David McCleskey, Jr. in 1941. She owned and operated Babe's Drapery Shop for 25 years. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Clovis. She is survived by her son and his wife, Dale and Lorayne McCleskey of Albuquerque; one granddaughter, Kimberly of Boulder, Colorado; two grandsons, Jason and Justin of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her husband in October of 1990, her parents, one sister, Bonnie Tagader and two brothers, Don & Calvin Cook. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 23, 2001 at Steed-Todd Chapel in Clovis. Dr. Steve McElroy will officiate. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis. Pena -- Rose Flores Pena, beloved and devoted mother, grandmother and sister was called home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, February 21, 2001 while surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Pena was a resident of Bernalillo. She is survived by her loving children, Arthur Pena of Bernalillo, Mary Fraide and husband, Ed, Josephine Rendon and husband, Gilbert both of Albuquerque and Ann Arnold and husband, Carl of Norfolk, VA; one sister, Frances Barreras of Los Angeles, CA; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those who knew and loved her. Stoltzfus -- Mr. Paul G. Stoltzfus died Friday, February 16, 2001 at his home in Plainview, TX. Paul was born on December 23, 1924 in Morgantown, PA. He married Marie Miller on December 22, 1946 in Wooster, OH. Paul was a Mennonite Minister. He pioneered missionary work throughout Ohio, Virginia and Carlsbad, NM. He attended Bible College at Eastern Mennonite College in Virginia. He lived in Plainview, TX and in Tijeras, NM. He is survived by his wife, Marie; and by five sons, Jerry, Jeff, Jon, Joel, and Jay; and by one daughter, Julie Brashear; and by 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was the oldest of 13 children, nine of which are still surviving. A Memorial Service will be held at Forest Meadow Baptist Church in Tijeras, NM on Saturday, February 24, 2001 at 4:00 p.m. his life was a personification of God's grace and mercy through Jesus Christ.

Stuart -- Charles Z. Stuart, 84, long time resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday February 21, 2001 after a brief illness. Born in Las Vegas, NM on October 24, 1916, he was the son of Anna Mae and Charles Zadoc Stuart. Charlie grew up in the coal mining communities of Van Houten, Swastika, and Brilliant near Raton, NM where his father was the butcher for the St. Louis, Rocky Mountain and Pacific Company. Graduating from Las Vegas High School in 1935, Charlie attended Normal University in Las Vegas before working for Standard Oil Company from 1936-1943 and again in 1945-1947, working in Las Vegas, Albuquerque, Gallup and Carlsbad. Charlie served as a Marine in World War II, stationed near Vallejo, CA. Returning to Albuquerque in 1947, Charlie was an aircraft mechanic for Carco, an air courier service in Albuquerque, which flew to Los Alamos, NM and Oakridge, TN. He worked at Manzano Base prior to his long career as a technician at Sandia National Laboratories from 1952-1980, his last position being in the Physical Standards Division, 2551, before retirement. Charlie loved to tinker, whether as a mechanic, carpenter, building scale model airplanes or HO series model trains, to recording music, and refinishing gunstocks. He loved the outdoors and fulfilled a long time dream to build a summer home in La Junta Canyon near Tres Ritos, NM, in the early to mid 1960's, spending of his leisure time in the canyon for more than 20 years. Always lending a hand, Charlie served on several Boards in the residential community. Charlie will always be remembered for his compassion, inquisitive nature, willingness to help and his humor. He was preceded in death by Fern, his first wife of 58 years, son, Dan, his parents, sister, Dorothy, and his niece, Dorothy Ann McEnroe. Charile is survived by his loving wife, Ruth; and extended family; his daughter, Nancy Stuart of Albuquerque; his grandsons, Joshua C. Stuart of Seattle, WA and Jonathan D. Stuart of Lemon Grove, CA; and great nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held Saturday, 2:00 p.m., at First United Methodist Church, 4th and Lead SW, with Rev. Trujillo -- Louise Primaveri Trujillo, 77, a resident of Albuquerque since 1943, died on Wednesday, February 21, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Pete Trujillo; son, Andy Trujillo of Mt. Ranch, CA; daughter, Barbara Neal of Florida; nephews, Mario Primaveri, Louie Primaveri and wife, Mary and niece, Deborah Williamson and husband, Denny. She was preceded in death by her nephew, John Primaveri. Louise was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. She graduated from UNM and taught in New Mexico for several years. Tynan -- John F. "Don" Tynan, age 75, a resident of Rociada, NM died peacefully at his home in Rociada on Wednesday, February 21, 2001. He was born on October 7, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY to John F. Tynan and Dorothy Kenney Tynan. He is preceded in death by an infant brother, his parents, Dorothy Kenney Tynan and John F. Tynan, Sr. and his beloved sister, Eileen Van Buskirk. He is survived by his dear friend and companion, Bob Goodfellow of Rociada, NM; his brother, Robert J. Tynan and dear friend, John Fusco of San Francisco, CA; niece, Dorothy Cade and husband, Les of Oregon; nephews, Gil Van Buskirk and wife, Tiki; great-nephews, Gilbert Van Buskirk III and Daryl White all of California; cousin, Lawrence J. Tynan of Rociada, NM; as well as numerous cousins and friends across the country. Don served his country in World War II in the US Navy as a Signalman in the South Pacific and aboard the USS Sewannee CVE 27. A former Maryknoll Brother, Don served in Maryknoll Seminaries and Mission Houses in the US for 23 years. His quick wit and wonderful smile will be missed by his many friends. He also leaves behind his beloved pets, Shasta, Feo, Fiona and Renegade. Don and Bob would like to thank the generous friends and neighbors in Pendaries and Rociada for their care and concern, as well as the women and men of the Sapello-Rociada Volunteer Fire Department for their efforts on behalf of Don. Thanks also are due to the Esperanza Home Health Care/Hospice, especially Karen Bernal, RN, Chris Lau, RN and Roberta Valdez. Wilson -- Myrtle R. Wilson, 101, a resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, February 16, 2001. Myrtle was born on a farm in Knox County, KY on July 27, 1899. She was a court reporter in southeastern Kentucky for many years and later was a secretary at Union College in Barbourville, KY. She moved to Albuquerque in 1961 to be close to her sister, Loula and her family. Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; sisters, Loula Beatty, Clara Stanberry, and Sarah Lyons; brother, Chester A. Riley; niece, Anice May Perkovic; and nephews, Lee Lyons and Chester A. Riley II. She is survived by her foster son, Clarence Smith and wife, Bessie of New Paris, OH; nephew, Paul Beatty and wife, Bernie of Albuquerque; nieces, Betty Faye Williams and husband, Irvin of Pageland, SC, and Patricia Ann Aldridge and husband, Jack of Huntington, WV; and many great-nephews and nieces.
