Luna -- Mr. Mariano R. Luna Jr., a resident of Albuquerque passed away on February 21, 2001. Mr. Luna is the beloved husband of 45 years to Mrs. Viola Luna. He is also survived by one daughter, Marian Rose Trujillo; five sons, David J. Luna and wife, Leona, Arthur H. Luna and wife, Maricela, Michael J. Luna and Mac, Charles A. Luna and wife, Patsy, Tom C. Luna and fiance, Elizabeth; three sisters, Josefa Sisneros and husband, Napoleon, Lugarda Saiz and Amy Lucero and husband, Boni; four brothers, Salomon Luna and wife, Molly, George Luna and wife, Alice, Gilbert Luna and wife, Okie and Ernest Luna and wife, Erlinda; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Terry Luna and Mrs. Irene Luna; nine grandchildren, David, Christopher, Joshua, Kristina, Adrianne, Michelle, Randi, Jamie and Marcus. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Luna, was a member of the Catholic Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict, member of Post 13, retired in 1984 from the City of Albuquerque Fire Department and a member of the retired Firefighters Association. A Memorial Rosary will be recited Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of The Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW with visitation at the church after 6:30 p.m., Mrs. Terry Luna, reciting. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with final visitation at the church after 8:30 a.m., Father Gene Gries, Celebrant. Interment of the cremains will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd NW in charge of the arrangements.
