Padilla -- CARLOS (CHARLIE REY) PADILLA 11/12/62 -- 07/17/99To My Family,I had to go away. I've been gone for a while. And though it hurt to leave you, I left you With a smile. The beautiful Heaven that I'm In is like all the best memories we've shared. The memories of our life, love and how much I cared. It's funny how one night caused so Much pain and with every tear that fell I Know you heard my name. I had to leave At such a young age, but my roots will Only grow stronger. I know you want to call Me and have me come out to play. I know You have thought of me each and every day. You all amazed me with the love that you Gave and now I know I left you feeling Alone and afraid, but keep in your heart that I did not die in vain, I left a light to guide You and take away your pain. Love, CarlosP.S. Tell the kids I'm enjoying watching them grow and keep the weeds cut.
