Obituary for Adams

HARRIET WITHERS ADAMS (July 26, 1924 - July 15, 2000) Harriet Withers Adams, loving wife and mother, and longtime resident of Jemez Springs, NM, died Saturday, July 15, 2000, at home. Harriet was a 1947 graduate of the University of New Mexico, a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority, an active member of the Christian Women's Club, and an ordained elder of Jemez Springs Community Presbyterian Church. Harriet is survived by her husband of 53 years, Paul Adams, Jemez Springs; daughters, Amie Adams Green, Roswell, Helen Adams Wicker, Harare, Zimbabwe, Marguerite Adams Cameron, Albuquerque; son, Paul Adams Jr., Grants; foster daughter, Robin Mitchell, Germantown, MD; brother, John Withers, Durango, CO; and nine grandchildren. Harriet was greatly loved. She will be remembered for her sweet spirit and generosity of heart. A service, in witness to the resurrection of Harriet Withers Adams, will be held at Jemez Springs Community Presbyterian Church, Jemez Springs, NM, at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 21, 2000. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to All Faith's Receiving Home, 1709 Moon NE, Albuquerque 87112. Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE, is in charge of arrangements.
