Sanchez -- STEPHANIE LYNNE SANCHEZ-CHAVEZ "The White Winged Dove,"Stevie" July 20, 1965 - December 25, 1998January 4th will mark one year since the day family and friends gathered to say good-bye to you. It's difficult to understand the reality of your permanent absence in our lives. Has it been one day, one week, or a millennium since I last saw you??? I expect you to walk in any minute, I think I see you everywhere I go. As I approach the haughty looking girl I realize that's not my Steph, It can't be, I have a document that has your name on it and states date of death, December 25, 1998. I know that is not the day you were so brutally taken from us. It was late Tuesday, November 3 or early November 4. The people who did those terrible things to you have no idea of how they affected the lives of your four children who no longer have your care, your love, or your presence. Their hearts are shattered as are many others especially, your brothers and myself. I'm still looking for your star in the clear night sky. Perhaps it will twinkle and shine when justice is done. We must all answer for our misdeeds on earth or by a higher being. I promised you there would be justice and the time is drawing nearer. My beautiful gypsy girl, I hope you are safe, warm and happy as you sit up there and watch over your children. The days are long, the nights longer, the pain of missing you seems to grow, not diminish. I can only see you in my dreams. Goodnight Steph, Love, Mom
