Boyd -- Phoebe R. Boyd, 89, a resident of Albuquerque for 37 years, passed away Friday, September 10, 1999. Mrs. Boyd was born in Mt. Carmel, PA on September 3, 1910, to Anthony and Xenia (Kusmic) Reyda, both of Austria. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Warland F. (Pete) Boyd. They were members of the Cathedral Church of St. John. Phoebe was a wonderful person who was well liked and respected by those who had the privilege of knowing her. She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Matthew Reyda, Joseph Reyda, Ann R. Skinner and Helen R. Robilotto. She is survived by her sisters, Mary R. Blair, Martha R. Keppel; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at Manzano del Sol Good Samaritan Village. Interment will take place at Fairmount Cemetery, Denver, CO. Crespin -- David J. Crespin, age 90, born on May 12, 1909, passed away September 12, 1999. Born in Santa Rosa, NM to Frank and Encarnacion Crespin. He was preceded in death by his son, Alfredo Crespin; four brothers, Bodvel, Frank, George, and Bonez; three sisters, Teodorita, Martha and Cleo. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Emilia Crespin; three daughters, Viola Luna and husband, Mariano, Fabiola Lucero and husband, Abrello, Susan Crespin-Smith and husband, Malcolm, all of Albuquerque and Rio Rancho; 19 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bennie Milre and Frank Crespin; three sisters, Pauline Lyons, Mary Padilla and Anna Franco; numerous nieces, nephews, and relatives. David was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vaughn, NM. He worked for the Harvey houses in Vaughn and Winslow, Arizona in the 1930s. He tended bar for Charlie Panebaulf, whom he greatly admired and respected. In the 1940s he served as a member of the School Board, and as a municiple judge for Vaughn and the surrounding areas. David was an avid walker and people lover, walking up to five miles a day, stopping along the way to talk to friends and neighbors. He loved living in Vaughn and often said that if he could get back he would never leave again, making Vaughn his final resting place. Visitations will be held this afternoon, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited this evening at 7:00 p.m. also at the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning, 11:00 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church at Vaughn, NM, with interment to follow at the Evergreen Cemetery also in Vaughn. Deuble -- A. Franklin (Frank) Deuble, Jr., 59, a resident of Albuquerque for the past 32 years, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 1999. Frank Jr., was born the son of A. Franklin and Alyce R. Deuble in New Brunswick, New Jersey on September 27, 1939. He graduated from Highland Park, New Jersey High School and subsequently from Parsons College of Fairfield, Iowa with a degree in Business Administration. After working for the College of Artesia, the Chambers of Commerce in Las Cruces and Albuquerque, the University of Albuquerque as Admissions Director, and Civitan International developing clubs in the southwest, he formed the Independent Fire Company and became it's president. Throughout his life, Frank had been a volunteer firefighter. His mother, Alyce R. Deuble, preceded Frank Jr. in death. He is survived by his father, A. Franklin Deuble, Sr. of Albuquerque; his brother, Robert Bruce and his wife, Candace of Belen, NM; a niece, Jessica Ruth Pickering of Minneapolis, MN; two nephews, Colin Bruce Deuble and Karl Frederick Deuble of Belen. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, September 18, 1999 at 3:00 p.m. at the Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church, 1004 24th Street, Rio Ranch. Dove -- James Edward Dove, 56, New Mexico native and resident of Las Vegas since 1994, passed away Wednesday morning, September 9, at Las Vegas Regional Medical Center. James was born November 16, 1942. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eva Mae Dove. He was a Catholic. James' interests included a love for science and research. He had an enthusiasm for writing and music. He enjoyed games and was an avid sports fan. James enjoyed people. We would like to thank all the caring and thoughtful residents and staff who helped James, including Mel Tino at Las Vegas Ponderosa Four, and especially Naomi Montoya, Administrator at Southwest Senior Care in Las Vegas, for their kindness and concern. James is survived by his surrogate nephews, Matthew and Thomas Cantwell of Deltona, FL as well as many friends. He will be missed and will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his love for all God's creatures. A Memorial service will be held at the Chapel at Las Vegas Medical Center on Tuesday, September 14. Interment will be at Memorial Gardens, Albuquerque. Frey -- Ruth Ann Frey, 90, of Albuquerque, died September 9, 1999. She was born in St. Louis, MO, but had been a resident of Albuquerque since 1976. Beloved wife of the late Earl J. G. Frey, she is survived by daughter, Doris J. Buttram and husband, Billy of Albuquerque; son, Richard E. Frey and wife, Marsha of Chesterfield, MO; grandchildren, Susan Synarski of Oakland, CA, Kathy Chilcoat of Los Alamos, David Buttram and wife, Michelle of Mt. Gallegos -- Mr. Benino A. Gallegos died Sunday in Albuquerque at the age of 72. Mr. Gallegos was a member of the Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Manuelita and Isidro Gallegos. Mr. Gallegos was a World War II veteran in the Company C, 157th Battalion, 92nd Infantry. He was also a lifelong member of the American Legion Post 13 and Post 72. He is survived by his wife, Adelina Gallegos; sons, Danny Gallegos and family and Timmy Gallegos and family, all of Las Vegas, NM; daughter, Angela Aragon of Albuquerque; brothers, Leroy Gallegos and wife, Frances of Albuquerque and Arturo Gallegos and wife, Dora of Las Vegas; sisters, Annie Romero and husband, Ray and Inez Richardson and husband, Larry, all of Albuquerque; nine grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Hardy -- Richard E. Hardy (Dick), age 73, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 10, following a long illness. Born in Illinois, he was a resident of Albuquerque for more than 40 years. He served in the US Navy during World War II and owned auto body repair businesses in Albuquerque for about 25 years. He is survived by his wife, Anita; a son, Richard Hardy Jr. and wife, Diane of Belen; daughters, Carrie Peterson and husband, Wayne of Tijeras and Patricia Soukup and husband, Michael of Santa Fe; a brother, Louis Hardy of Murphy, NC; a sister, Dorothy Eitenmiller of Pekin, IL; two granddaughters; five great-granddaughters; five nieces; and one nephew. Harrison -- Josephine Britton Harrison passed away on Saturday, September 11, 1999, in Santa Fe. She was born on January 31, 1912, in Las Vegas, NM to Josefita Schuster Britton and Dalio Britton, but lived most of her life in Santa Fe. Mrs. Harrison was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Benjamin Britton; and sisters, Grace Delgado, Mollie Barney, Isabel Smith and Tillie Smith. Lehrer -- Christine Eisen Lehrer, 86, died August 24, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She was born in Manhattan, New York, December 14, 1912 to Herman and Barbara Eisen and married to William Lehrer. After the death of her husband in 1980, Christine moved to Albuquerque with her sister, Anna Meister, and later to Colorado Springs, Colorado. Christine is survived by her children, Barbara Downs of Checotah, OK, Ilse Lehrer of Ardmore, OK, Edie Wogaman of Colorado Springs, CO, Martha Stoodley of Checotah, OK, Misch Lehrer of Albuquerque, and Linda Lehrer of Longmont, CO; also her nephew, Fred Hoffmann of Hermitage, TN; niece, Mildred Lindsay of Glen Oaks, NY; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Martinez -- Mrs. Raquel Martinez died Saturday in Albuquerque at the age of 94. Mrs. Martinez was a longtime resident of Corrales, formerly of Cabezon, NM. She was preceded in death by her husband, Felipe Martinez; son, Gilbert Martinez; sister, Prescilla Montoya; and brother, Seferino Lucero. Mrs. Martinez is survived by her son, Horacio L. Martinez and wife, Mary Lou; daughter, Cecilia Castro; a special granddaughter who took care of Mrs. Martinez, Roseann Blanco; sisters-in-law, Fidela Lucero of Bernalillo, Rose Garcia and Flora Martinez; 12 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 35 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Martinez will be held on Wednesday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at the Mt. Mcbride -- John Martin Gilbert McBride, 32, a beloved father, son and brother, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 11, 1999. John was a lifetime resident of Albuquerque. He is survived by his son, John McBride Jr.; his parents, James and Mary McBride; one brother, Jimmy McBride; and one sister, Barbara Scalzi. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Montano -- Arturo W. Montano, 81, a resident of Los Trujillos, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 1999. He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Arturo worked for the AT&SF Railroad, retiring after 30 years of outstanding service. He served in the United States Army during WWII as a Medic. Arturo was preceded in death by his parents, Salomon and Emiliana Montano; one grandson, Raymond K. Chavez. He is survived by his loving wife, Lola of the family home in Los Trujillos; six children, Paul and his wife, Lao of Los Chavez, Livy and his wife, Benita of Los Lunas, Veronica Chavez and her husband, Eliseo of Los Trujillos, Alice Gabaldon and her husband, John of Los Lunas, Rosemary Marquez and her husband, Joe of Belen, and Nick Grigsby and his wife, Yolanda of Frezno, CA; 24 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Ernesto and his wife, Pieda; one sister-in-law, Josie Chavira, all of Barstow, CA. Reva -- Virgina McMullen Reva, a former resident of St. Joseph, MI died Saturday, September 11, 1999. Mrs. Reva was born in Chicago, IL to Patrick and Nellie Murphy McMullen on February 2, 1911. In 1929 she graduated from St. Joseph High School and graduated from St. Mary's College, Notre Dame in 1933. In 1941 she married Hermas L. Reva of Kalamazoo. In 1947 she received a masters degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. In that year, she and Mr. Reva moved to Albuquerque where Mrs. Reva has accepted a faculty position at the University of New Mexico. She began as an instructor in the College of Business Administration and progressed through the ranks until she became a full professor. During those years, she was granted several leaves of absence to work under the auspices of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Her workshops and seminars for employed men and women took her to 23 cities and ten countries in Central and South America. During those years, she published some 25 articles in national educational magazines. Always an active public speaker and Catholic laywoman, Mrs. Reva received the Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice Cross from Pope Pius XII in 1954. In 1995 she was invested in Houston, TX as a Lady of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. The Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem is worldwide in scope and dates back more than 800 years. She was a charter member of Our Lady of Fatima Church. Mrs. Reva's husband and their son, Mark died many years ago. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Patrick J. McMullen of St. Joseph, MI. Mrs. Reva is survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends in this area. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Father Francis X. Eggert, Celebrant. Interment will be in the Reva family plot in Kalamazoo, MI. Pallbearers will be Rod Doll, Ray Zimmer, Philip Menicucci, Malcolm Shannon Sr., Robert Vokes and George Blea. Honorary pallbearers will be Dean Cutler, Robert Tafoya, John McNerney, John Yeakel, Howard Finston, Perry Mori and Donald Fogg. Silva -- Delfina T. Silva, 78, a resident of Belen, passed away on Monday, September 13, 1999. She was a member of the Nurse's Central Registry from 1975-1997 in Phoenix, AZ. She completed nurses training in Fort Monmouth, NJ. She was a member of St. Catherine Church of Phoenix, AZ until 1997. Delfina was preceded in death by her mother, Rosita Rael Trujillo; her father, Alfonso Trujillo; her husband, Felipe N. Silva; grandson, Manuel T. Silva; and son, Manuel P. Silva. She is survived by her son, David R. Silva; her daughters, Theresa Smrt, Dolores Silva, Virginia Silva and Barbara Baca; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with Funeral Mass being celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Smith -- Leonard A. Smith"Smitty", a resident of Bernalillo, died September 11, 1999. A beloved father, he is survived by his son, Mark R. Smith, his son's wife, Carrie L. Smith; his ex-wife, Mary L. Smith; sisters, Linda and Susan of Connecticut; eight other brothers and sisters; and his mother and father in Connecticut. Retired Bernalillo Police Officer. Cremation is taking place and service will take place 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 14 at Church of Latter Day Saints, 325 Avenida D Bernalillo. Stockton -- Emma Frisbie Stockton died peacefully on September 11, 1999, in her home, cared for with deep compassion by Delta Hospice, and the wonderful people from Western Medical Services; and surrounded by her loving husband of 51 years, and her three adoring children. Emma graduated from high school in Los Angles, and attended Oklahoma City University and Central State University in Edmond, OK. She is survived by husband, Jack, of the home, and three children and their families; son, William Douglas Stockton and wife, Sharon Gilbert of Kailua-Kona, HI; daughter, Vanessa Jean Compton and husband, Phillip of Carrollton, TX; and son, Richard Frisbie Stockton and wife, Tracey of Lakewood, OH; two grandsons, Kiaolahia Douglas Stockton of Kailua-Kona, and Cooper Vanshawn Compton of Carrollton, TX. Emma is survived by sister, Marie Pennel of Goldendale, WA; brother, Chester Frisbie and wife, Dorothy of Kennville, CA; brother, Glenn Frisbie and wife, Christine of Houston, TX; as well as many nephews and nieces. Emma was a house wife and full-time mother. She did a wonderful job rasing her children teaching them free thinking, independence, and a complete lack of prejudice in all regards. Because of her influence all three children are happily married to first spouses and point to her as their guide. Emma was ordained a priest in the Holy Catholic Church of Anitoch, on April 14, 1985, and maintained her membership until her death. Wherever Emma lived she was happy as a volunteer working in inner city missions in Oklahoma City and Houston, tutoring in inner city schools in Dallas and during the late sixties working in Fitzgerald Army Hospital in Denver, where wounded soldiers were flown direct from Vietnam. She enjoyed her work with the Presbyterian Volunteers, serving at both Kaseman and Presbyterian gift shops, served one year as treasurer of the volunteer organization, and two years as chairman of the Information Desk at Presbyterian Hospital. Emma easily made friend wherever she lived and is mourned by friend everywhere. Her family takes great joy in her life but will miss her deeply. In accordance with her wishes she has been cremated and no immediate services will be held. A memorial service of family and close friends will be announced in the near future to honor her and share our experiences of her beautiful life. Trombino -- Mario Trombino, 76, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, September 10, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Violet Trombino; son, Ray Trombino and wife, Kathy; grandchildren, Sarah, Suzanne, and Ben Trombino; niece, Penny Koltik; brother, Bill Trombino and wife, Angie; sisters, Gilda Svejda, Dorothy McGrath and husband, Tom, Lucia Tyner and husband, John, Rose C. Pistilli-Colucci, and Mary Ann Heal. Mr. Trombino was preceded in death by his father, Domenic; mother, Rosaria and step-mother, Clara. Mario and Violet moved to Albuquerque from Chicago in 1964. In June of 1967 they opened Trombinos Hamburgers for two years. In 1971 they opened Penguinis Harbor before selling in 1974. Together, with Violet and Raymond, he founded the Italian restaurant"Trattoria Trombino" in 1979. Services will be held Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. at Chester T. Wallace -- Stanton Wallace, 90, a 50 year resident of Silver City, died at his home Monday, September 6, 1999. He was born January 28, 1909 in Flagstaff, Arizona Territory to William F. and Ethel Anderson Wallace. He was reared on cattle ranches, mainly at the family homestead at Mormon Lake, AZ and from 1914 to 1917 in New Mexico along the Pecos River near Ft. Sumner, and southwest of Melrose on land which is now in the Hart Ranch portion of NM Boys Ranch. After graduating from Arizona State Teachers College (now NAU) he taught school in Sedona and then did graduate work in forestry at Colorado A & M (now CSU). Mr. Wallace began his career with the U.S. Forest Service in Arizona as a summer fire lookout in 1926. Following his studies in Colorado he supervised Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) construction projects in 1935. For the next 25 years he worked at various assignments on the Conconino, Kaibab, Tonto, Cibola, and Gila National Forests, and the final ten years in Range and Wildlife Management for the USFS Region 3 Office in Albuquerque, retiring in 1969. Although he and his beloved wife, Margaret, had lived and traveled extensively in the southwest, they came back to their favorite place--Silver City. Mr. Wallace was a member of numerous organizations including Tyrone Masonic Lodge #52, Tyrone Chapter #41 Order of the Eastern Star, Masonic Lodge of Research of New Mexico, CCC Alumni, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, American Association of Retired Persons, Valley Community Church, and the Camp Thunderbird Board. He was an avid supporter and volunteer for numerous other civic, educational, and charitable activities. He cherished children and contributed to youth organizations such as Demolay, Rainbow, 4-H, and most recently the Community-Built"Penny Park". Stanton also enjoyed hunting, fishing, tinkering, and traveling. In recent years he visited great-grandchildren in Texas and Oregon, trekked to Costa Rica, western Canada, Panama and the Caribbean, and spent the month of his 90th birthday traveling in Australia and New Zealand. He was preceded in death last September by Margaret, his wife of 64 years. Survivors include two daugthers, Margaret L. Wallace of Dallas, TX, Joanne W. Stockert and husband, John of Tularosa, NM; two sisters, Isabella Wallace and Elizabeth Dobrinski and husband, Maurice of Flagstaff, AZ; two granddaughters, Mary-Margaret Stockert and husband, Howard Crombie of Coos Bay, OR, Jeanne DeLoach and husband, Darren of Bonham, TX; three great-grandchildren, William Kurt Stockert Crombie, Cheyenne Wallace DeLoach, Sierra Brynn DeLoach; and an adopted grandson, Dr. Alcides Fernandez, his wife, Damaris, and their family of Costa Rica, Central America. Public Memorial services and a celebration of Stanton's life will be Saturday, September 18, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. followed by covered dish lunch at Camp Thunderbird in Mimbres, NM. Waller -- May J. Waller, 91, a resident of Albuquerque since 1954, passed away in a local hospital, Sunday, September 12, 1999. She is survived by her son, George Waller of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her husband, George in 1964; two brothers; and one sister, all from New York. She was a great influence on her only son, and had a real zeal and enjoyment for life, especially gardening, reading, crossword puzzles, sewing and crocheting. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 16, 1999 in the Fitzgerald Chapel, 3113 Carlisle NE. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, 924-C Menaul Blvd. NE.
