Crook -- Phyllis R. Crook, 86, a resident of Albuquerque since 1944, died Wednesday, August 4, 1999. She is survived by her son, Wallace Crook and wife, Jodie of Bosque Farms; daughter, Sally Wagner and husband, William of Petaluma, CA; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sister, Lucille Drake of Atlanta, GA. Mrs. Crook was preceded in death by her husband, Vurland F. Crook. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Graveside services will be held Saturday, 11:00 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, with Rev. Dr. William Wagner officiating. Hammock -- Early Hammock, 70, died Monday morning, August 2, 1999 at her home in Sandia Park after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Mrs. Hammock was born in Austin, TX on May 10, 1929. She is survived by her husband, Glenn of Sandia Park; son, Steve White and wife, Diane; granddaughter, Sara; grandson, Bryan, all of Austin, TX; and brothers, John Hamlett and wife, Eleanor and family of Richardson, TX and William Hamlett and wife, Kay of Richmond, TX. Friends are welcome to a reception at the family home, #9 Entrada Granada, in Sandia Park, Saturday afternoon, August 7, 1999, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Jagunich -- Jane Jagunich, a resident of Albuquerque since 1963, passed away, Friday, August 6, 1999. She is survived by her husband, Joe Jagunich of the family home; sons, Paul Jagunich of Baltimore, MD and Michael Jagunich of Albuquerque; daughter, Sharon O'Neill and husband, Mike of Albuquerque; and her three precious grandchildren, Gunnar, Zachary and Christopher. They were her greatest joy. Mary Jane is also survived by her brothers, Steve and wife, Doris of Whitinsville, MA, Nick and wife, Ione, Jack and wife, Anna, all of Eveleth, MN, Joe and wife, Rozanne of St. Cloud, MN and Jim and wife, Donna of Eveleth, MN; and sister, Cathleen and husband, Bob of Coon Rapids, MN. Mary Jane was born July 16, 1940 in Eveleth, MN to Steve and Catherine (Zalac) Pollack, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Matilda of Illinois; and brother, Thomas of Minnesota. Mary Jane was employed by the Albuquerque Public Schools for 19 years. She was a loving wife, and caring mother and grandmother. Mary Jane was surrounded by many true and wonderful friends. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her and those whose lives she touched. Rosary will be recited Sunday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Father Antonio Mondragon reciting. Mcilroy -- Carol McIlroy, 75, a resident of Albuquerque for 48 years, died Tuesday, August 3, 1999. She is survived by her son, David McIlroy and wife, Karen of Eagle River, AK; daughters, Jennifer Ricker and husband, Fred of Westchester, CA and Cathy Gamblin and husband, Jim of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Chris and Scott McIlroy and Kelsey and Collin Ricker; and sister-in-law, Valeria Farmer of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer C. McIlroy in 1992. Mrs. McIlroy was a member of Montgomery Blvd. Church of Christ. She was very active in the art community of Albuquerque for over 40 years. Services will be held Monday, 7:00 p.m., at Montgomery Blvd. Church of Christ, 7201 Montgomery Blvd. NE, with Bruce Thweatt, Minister, officiating. Pacheco -- LeeRoss Pacheco, 44, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on August 4, 1999. Mr. Pacheco was the beloved father of three sons, Rosendo DeHeaven, Louis Pacheco and Steve Pacheco. He is also survived by his loving parents, Lee and Annie Pacheco; five sisters, Leenora Pacheco, Bertha Pacheco, Judy Jaramillo and husband, David, Theresa Pacheco and Gloria Pacheco and Fidencio; three brothers, Joseph Pacheco, Arthuro Pacheco and wife, Diana and Jesus Pacheco; his grandmother, Bertha Pacheco; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Mr. Pacheco was a member of the Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited Friday evening, 7:00 p.m., at San Jose de Los Duranes Mission Church, 2110 Los Luceros Rd. Peralta -- Our beloved mother and grandmother, Helen O. Peralta Sr., 94, passed away Monday morning, August 2, 1999, at St. Joseph's Hospital. She raised her family in Albuquerque and was a devoted member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Helen will be best remembered as a loving parent and grandparent, and involved and supportive church goer, and a contributor to community activities. Helen was in love with festive activities that included decorating her home for Christmas, dressing up for any holiday occasion, doing"intregas", leading"marchas," and going to any event that included music and dancing. She frequently attended Martinez Town, John Marshall, and 7th Street Meal Sites and Senior groups while she was able and made many close friends through the years. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Manfor Peralta; and her daughter, Helen Pena, and is survived by one son, Manford Peralta, Jr. and wife, Lucy; one daughter, Ruby Archuleta and husband, Alex; one nephew, Leo Lueras and wife, Mela; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Helen's grandchildren, Lucille Garcia, Marlene Johnson, Sharon McManis, Glenda Gutierrez and Crystal Garcia-Vigil wish to thank God and their immediate family members for allowing them to provide 24-hour hospital care during the last 15 days of their grandmother's life. They are grateful that God blessed them with the opportunity to show their love to someone who cared for them since they were born. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, August 6, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 820 Broadway SE, where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Helen will be laid to rest beside her husband, daughter and sister at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery following the Mass. The family will be at the home of Manford and Lucy Peralta, Jr., 1620 Princeton SE. Pallbearers will be Adan Garcia, Paul Fisher, Ken McManis, Tommy Gutierrez, Glen Archuleta, Brandon McManis, Justin McManis, Leo Lueras, and Michael Johnson. Peralta -- The family of Helen O. Peralta Sr. would like to thank their relatives and friends for their support and expressions of sympathy extended to them during their time of bereavement. Richards -- Clifton W. Richards, age 82, born on May 3, 1917 in Stanley, New Mexico passed away on Tuesday August 3, 1999 in Westminster, Colorado. He graduated from Estancia High School. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ollie J. Richards of Westminster, Colorado; one son, Clifton E. Roybal -- Michael"Jackson" Roybal, 45, a resident of Albuquerque and formerly of Espanola, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 1999, from a massive heart attack while building his home in Albuquerque. He is survived by his wife, Veronica Roybal; one son, Simon; three step-children, Patrick, Danielle and Paul, all of Albuquerque. He is also survived by his parents, Theodore and Sally Roybal of San Pedro; three brothers, Carlos Roybal and wife, Judy, Myron Roybal, all of San Pedro and Dominic Roybal and wife, Christen of Albuquerque; three sisters, Louella and husband, Michael Hennelly of Phoenix, AZ, Denise and husband, Steve Montoya of San Pedro and Carmella and husband, Fred Romero of Sombrillo; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jose Andres and Genevieve Sandoval of Las Trampas; several nieces, nephews; aunts, uncles; many cousins; and other relatives and friends. On Friday, August 6, 1999, visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., and a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Block-Salazar Mortuary in Espanola. Smith -- Ella May Smith, 75, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 1999. Ella May was born March 21, 1924 in Tampa, Florida. She was married to Jack W. Smith on September 14, 1945 in Tampa, Florida. She had attended Florida State University. Ella May was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, she loved photography, collecting fossils, and gardening. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Jean McKay. Ella May is survived by her husband, Jack Smith Sr. of Albuquerque; son, Jack Smith Jr. of Albuquerque; daughter, Emillia Ward and husband, David of Cayce, SC; granddaughters, Jennifer Smith of Albuquerque and Jean Louise Ward of Cayce, SC; grandsons, John David Ward of Cayce, SC and James Hodges of Tampa, FL. Thomsen -- Kurt E. Thomsen, 42, a resident of Albuquerque for two years, died Saturday, July 31, 1999. He is survived by his father, Charles Thomsen of Albuquerque; sisters, Jean Thomsen-Youel and husband, Roger of Arizona, LuAnn Gatson and husband, Lawrence and Diana Roy, all of Nebraska; and nephews, Masada and Ivan Roy. He is also survived by his aunt, Janet Waddill and her daughters, Cindy Richardson and Julie Alcorn; his uncle, Paul J. Thomsen and wife, Waltraud (Wally) and their daughter, Paula Sue and his aunt, Phyllis Larsen and husband, Paul and their children, Jeff, Janice and Pamela. Kurt was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Thomsen in 1994. He loved singing and was a part of the San Francisco Men's Chorus, touring with them in the early 80's. Cremation has taken place and a reception will be held Saturday, August 7, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. .DMPria (Vicki) Bargas Baca, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on August 5, 1999 surrounded by her family. She is survived by her daughter, Imelda Martinez and husband, Vivian of Denver, CO; son, Leonard Baca and wife, Eleanor of Louisville, CO; and daughter, Mary Lou Jaramillo and husband, Placido of Dallas, TX; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and her only surviving sister, Jennie Bargas Garcia of Albuquerque. Mr. Baca joins her husband, Marcus, who recently passed away, and with whom she shared 63 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Marie Adele; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Mrs. Baca was born in Albuquerque to Martin and Victoriana Bargas. Vicki was a faithful Catholic and was actively involved in church activities throughout her life. she loved sewing, painting, and dancing the polka. Vicki opened her home to all and nurtured them with warmth, humor, and her delicious meals. She devoted her final years to caring for her husband at home during his long illness. Vicki seasoned our lives with love and brought brightness to the world, which will live on in the hearts of her large extended family and many friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 6:00 p.m., Sunday, August 8, 1999, at Church of the Risen Savior with her brother-in-law, Father Paul Baca officiating. Friends may visit Mrs. Baca at the church before Mass. Interment will take place 9:00 a.m., Monday, August 9, 1999, at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
