Ella May Smith, 75, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 1999. Ella May was born March 21, 1924 in Tampa, Florida. She was married to Jack W. Smith on September 14, 1945 in Tampa, Florida. She had attended Florida State University. Ella May was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, she loved photography, collecting fossils, and gardening. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Jean McKay. Ella May is survived by her husband, Jack Smith Sr. of Albuquerque; son, Jack Smith Jr. of Albuquerque; daughter, Emillia Ward and husband, David of Cayce, SC; granddaughters, Jennifer Smith of Albuquerque and Jean Louise Ward of Cayce, SC; grandsons, John David Ward of Cayce, SC and James Hodges of Tampa, FL. The services for Ella May will be held at the Blount Curry & Roel Funeral Home in Tampa, FL on Friday, August 6, and Saturday, August 7, 1999. Interment will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Tampa, FL. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd., at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho, NM.
