Apodaca -- Albert Benjamin Apodaca, 19, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on March 22, 1999. Albert was the beloved son of Ben and Lorraine Apodaca. He is also survived by his loving family, maternal grandmother, Juanita Montoya; paternal grandparents, Fred and Mary Apodaca; four aunts, Lupe Sandoval and husband, Jose, Mary Navarette, Frances Apodaca, Mary"Lita" Baca and husband, John, his Godfather; six uncles, Paul Candelaria, Primitivo Montoya and wife, Eppie, Ruben Montoya, Fred Apodaca Jr. (Godfather), Charles Apodaca and wife, Rosemarie and Richard Apodaca; his Godmother, Rose Apodaca; and many cousins and friends. Albert was a member of the Catholic Church, a senior at School of Wheels. Albert had a great sense of humor and was greatly loved by all of his family and friends. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday evening, 7:00 p.m., at the Ascension Catholic Church, 2150 Raymac SW, with visitation at the church after 6:30 p.m, the Legion of Mary, reciting. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday morning, 10:00 a.m., at the Ascension Church with final viewing at the church after 9:30 a.m., Father Anthony Bolman, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charlie Apodaca Jr., Dennis Navarette, Rico Apodaca, Leonard Montoya, Jason Baca and Jon Paul Baca IV. Honorary will be his friends. Archuleta -- Mrs. Florida C. Archuleta died on Tuesday at the age of 80. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Archuleta; and sons-in-law, Ralph Maestas and Felipe Palacio. She is survived by three sons, Henry Archuleta and wife, Theresa of Raton, Jerry Archuleta and wife, Priscilla; and Lawrence Archuleta, all of Albuquerque; six daughters, Dorothy Maestas of Tooele, UT, Josie Gonzales and husband, Daniel of Tularosa, Bertha Rivera and husband, Juan of Moriarty, Priscilla Palacio of Albuquerque, Frances Miller and husband, Michael of Eagles Nest, and Mary Ann Montoya and husband, Tino of Albuquerque; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Archuleta will be held on Thursday at the Ascension Catholic Church, where the Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the Pajarito Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Archuleta, Jessie Rivera, Joey Archuleta, Anthony Trujillo, Pat Montoya and Frank Archuleta. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Chavez, Joe Dan Gonzales and Rick Martinez. Dyhrmann -- Imogene S. Dyhrmann, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 21, 1999. Imogene was born in Lincoln, NE, to Bess and Pearle Schupbach. Imogene lived in various parts of Nebraska until July 19, 1941 when she married Lt. Frederick Paulson Dyhrmann from Minden, NE. They spent the next twenty-two years traveling throughout the world on various military assignments with the United States Army. Upon his retirement in 1963, they moved to Albuquerque to enjoy their retirement years with family and friends. Imogene is survived by her daughters, Judy L. Mock and husband, Howard of Albuquerque, and Carol Jean McGinnis and husband, Ben of Prescott, AZ; grandchildren, Michelle Lynn Clark and husband, Douglas, Robert Howard Mock and wife, Elizabeth, Lara Jean Kelshaw and husband, Michael, Scott Thomas Jones and wife, Shanon and Brett Paulson Ridens; great-grandchildren, Ellie Suzanne Clark, William Bremmer Mock and Cody Robert Jones, her greatest joys this past year. Imogene is also survived by her brother, Paul Schupbach and wife, Phyllis of Green Valley, AZ; and four nephews and their families. Imogene's interests, besides her family, were Duplicate Bridge, where she had accomplished her goal of being a Life Master, and reading. Family graveside services will be held with Pastor Larry Moss officiating, at Santa Fe National Cemetery, where she will join her husband, Colonel (Ret.) Fred Dyhrmann of 44 years. Pallbearers will be Howard Mock, Ben McGinnis, Robert Mock, Scott Jones, Douglas Clark and Michael Kelshaw. Flores -- Ronald Michael"Ronnie" Flores, 55, a former resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, March 19, 1999. He is survived by his daughters, Tami Macy and husband, Conrad of San Diego, CA, Rhonda Gonzalez and husband, Matthew of San Jose, CA, and Cynthia Cuneo and husband, Andy of Livermore, CA; grandchildren, Holly Preciado of San Diego, CA, Adam and Alexis Gonzalez of San Jose, CA, and Ashley and Tyler Cuneo of Livermore, CA; brothers, Ted. L. Flores and wife, Mary Helen, Marcy Flores, all of Albuquerque, and Patrick Flores and wife, Tamara of Springfield, MO; sister, Marguerite Flores of Islamabad, Pakistan; aunts, Mary Armijo of Las Vegas, NM, Delores Montoya, Carmen Sanchez and Esperanza Maestas, all of Albuquerque; nephews, Ted A. Mr. Flores worked for Hewlett Packard for 32 years. He loved his corvette and belonged to the Corvette's of Sonoma County. He was an avid skier and fisherman. Mr. Flores was a great father and uncle. Ivey -- Bettye Irene Ivey, longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away on March 2, 1999. Bettye was born in Chickamauga, GA on April 15, 1924 to Matthew and Irene Spearman. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Ivey and husband, Dean Reynolds of Rio Rancho and Vivian Ivey Jones and husband, Greg of Dallas, TX; her sister, Jane Terry of Rockledge, FL; her brother, Whitfield Spearman of Jacksonville, FL; and her four grandchildren, Erin Husher of Pembroke Pines, FL, Chris and Jeff Husher, and Brianne Reynolds of Rio Rancho. Before retiring she was employed as a legal assistant for 20 years for Suttin, Thayer & Browne in Albuquerque. She loved meeting regularly with a group that she affectionately called"her old neighborhood group." She loved to always be on the go and was very energetic. She did not like to stay at home. She was a member of the Rio Rancho Adult Presbyterian Church School Class and the Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church. A visitation is scheduled for Bettye on Thursday, March 25, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at the Rio Rancho Funeral Home. Meyer -- Marie Meyer, 74, a resident of Albuquerque since 1979, died Sunday, March 21, 1999. Mitchell -- Annie Pearl Mitchell, born March 18, 1930 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, passed away March 21, 1999. Annie received the gift of the Holy Spirit at the age of 21. She and Sis. Selico then began a great street and outreach ministry, which continued for several decades. She had been a longtime member of God's House Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earlie and Mary Seals; and her siblings. She is survived by her husband, Risdon Mitchell, whom she married in May 1950; four daughters, Carlotta, Joby Wallace and husband, Ronnie, Mary Carr and husband, Dwyane, and Sherril Godbolt and husband, William, all of Albuquerque; four sons, Eural, Lawrence and wife, Earnestine, Isaac and wife, Kathy, and Donald, all of Albuquerque; her 14 grandchildren, whom she loved dearly and will always remember what a great woman of God their Grandma was; and uncle, Daniel Lindsey. Annie also leaves, in cherished memories, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of"adopted" sons and daughters, and friends. Muniz -- Estefanita Mares Muniz, 82, beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and companion, was called home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 20, 1999 while surrounded by her loving family. Ms. Muniz was born on January 29, 1917 in Socorro, NM to Antonio and Adela Otero; she was a longtime resident of Albuquerque and a parishioner of San Jose Mission in Duranes. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by three sons, Larry Muniz Sr. and wife, Theresa, Toy"Tony" N. Muniz and wife, Judy, Paul Muniz and wife, Marie; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; a longtime companion and friend, Juan Lucero; two sisters, Lena Saiz and Ofelia Olguin; four sisters-in-law , Fabiola Ortega, Lala Garcia, Lucy Lucero and Leonala Perea; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and those who knew and loved her. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated this morning, 8:30 a.m., at San Jose Mission Church in Duranes. Navalesi -- Enrico George (Henry) Navalesi, 76, a resident of Albuquerque for 63 years passed away Saturday, March 20, 1999. He is survived by his mother, Vincensa (Vinzie) Toresan, of Denver, CO; son, Henry Kent Navalesi, wife, April; grandsons, Kent Eugene, Nicholas Stephen Navalesi all of Albuquerque; stepdaughters, Amy Raymond of Albuquerque and Bunnie Firestone and husband, Kermit of Tucson, AZ; brothers, Bruno Dominic Navalesi and wife, Merle of Monument, CO, Eugene (Gene) Louis Navalesi and wife, Nadean of Albuquerque; sisters, Mary Jane Cito and husband, Frank of Albuquerque, Theresa Barbara Campagnola and husband, Gene of Denver, CO; and many caring, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and dear friends. He came to Albuquerque in 1936 and graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1941. Henry was born in Walsenburg, CO on March 31, 1922 to Vincensa (Vinzie) and Joseph Navalesi. He was a long time Business man and owner of Navalesi Furniture Store. Henry was a life member of Lions Club International and a past president of North Valley Lions Club. He was on the Board of Directors of Good will Industries for many years. He was active in community politics for years. O'malley -- Yvonne O'Malley, 71, a resident of Albuquerque since 1941, died Sunday, March 21, 1999. She is survived by her daughter, Kim Laurie; son, Mike O'Malley and wife, Debra; and grandchildren, Sean Laurie, April O'Malley and Kristy O'Malley, all of Albuquerque. Mrs. O'Malley was a member of Chi Omega Sorority at UNM and graduated in 1950. She taught in the Bernalillo Public Schools for 23 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Albuquerque. She was a water-color artist and enjoyed playing golf. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Saturday, 10:30 a.m., at First Presbyterian Church Chapel, 215 Locust NE, with Rev. Myron White officiating. Oetzel -- Anna Yahl Oetzel, 85 years, departed this life on Tuesday, March 23, 1999 at Vancrest Health Care Center, Van Wert, OH. She was born to Elizabeth (Geib) Yahl and Louis Yahl July 1, 1913 in St. Mary's, OH. She married Ransom S. Oetzel June 11, 1939 and he predeceased her in 1993. She had been a resident of Van Wert, OH since 1939. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Vernon, Raymond, Carl, L. Frederick and Walter Yahl. She is survived by sons, Rodger (Jeannette) Oetzel and grandchildren, Susanne, Stephen and Scott of Albuquerque, and Terrell (Beverly) Oetzel, East Lansing, MI and granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn of Washington, DC. Also surviving are brothers-in-law, Robert (Norma) Oetzel, So. Amhert, OH and Paul Roeser, Encinitas, CA; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Ann graduated from St. Mary's, OH Memorial High School in 1931. In 1936 she received a Bachelor of Arts and in 1937 a Bachelor of Music degree from Western College for Women, Oxford, OH."Annie", as many of her students knew her, taught choral music in Sandusky, Van Wert County Schools and Delphos Jefferson High School, retiring in 1970. She truly loved teaching, mentoring and the experiences of working with young people. It was a joy to be a participant in any musical endeavor she undertook. She was church organist and choral director for St. Mark's Lutheran Church, as well as First Presbyterian Church, Van Wert, OH. Ann was a 50 year member of AAUW, Van Wert Woman's Club and YWCA. She was a member of Hospital Group TWIG II, Ruth Esther Circle of First Presbyterian Church, a former member of Willow Bend Country Club, Van Wert, OH. She also was a member of Western College for Women Alumni Assoc., celebrating her 60th Alumni Reunion with her class of 1997. Over the past 25 years Ann (with her husband) traveled to many parts of the world often participating in various musical events."Annie" was a wonderful mother and grandmother always taking time, loving and teaching by example. The family wishes to thank all of the staff at Vancrest Health Care Center for their care and love. Also thank you to special neighbors, Ernie and Carolyn Miller, Susan and Roger Darrah, and many wonderful friends who genuinely loved and cared about her at the end. Parenti -- Ida Parenti, age 86, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, died March 20, 1999. She is survived by two sisters, Edna S. Wing of Ft. Worth, TX and Juanita C. Mathews and husband, Leroy J. of Albuquerque; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Coach Babe Parenti. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 24, 1999, 10:30 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 619 Copper NW, with Rev. Father Francis Renfroe as Celebrant. Leroy Mathews, Mike Mathews, Allen Mathews, Bill Mathews, Steven Mathews and Andy Gonzales will serve as pallbearers Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 619 Copper Ave. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87102. Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE, in charge of arrangements.

Pargas -- Mr. Roberto Pargas - 103God needed a special Angel, One loving, good and kind. And so He chose our Father, And left us all behind. The tears we shed were many, Our hearts were filled with pain, But our loss upon this earth, Was surely Heaven's gain. And though his heart no longer beats, His memory lives within. Time can never erase the love, For our Father and Best Friend.Mr. Pargas was born May 10, 1895 in Luis Lopez, NM to Jose and Teofilia Pargas. On March 22, 1999 a Golden Heart stopped beating, the Angels came to take our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather,"Papa P.", Mr. Roberto Pargas, to be with Our Lord. Mr. Pargas is survived by his wife of 58 years, Armelinda Pargas; son, Roberto Pargas Jr.; daughter, Teofilita Burton and husband, Bob; granddaughter, Cynthia (Cincia) Pargas who was raised by her grandfather; grandchildren, Alan Garcia, Elizabeth Garcia, Andrew Pargas, Michelle Hamrick and husband, Travis, Robert Anthony Pargas, Sean Burton and wife, Lisa, and Steve M. Pargas; three step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Christopher Chavez II and Brandon Chavez; and 14 step-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives. After 44 years as a boiler maker for the AT & SF Railroad he retired in 1967. He was also a member of the Woodmen of the World. He had a zest for life and enjoyed gardening and being surrounded by his family. Funeral services for Mr. Pargas will be held on Wednesday at the Annunciation Catholic Church, where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sean Burton, Joe Herrera, Romolo Gonzales Jr., Derek Archibeque, Tony Pargas, and Travis Hamrick. Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Chavez II, Brandon Chavez, Alan Garcia, Andrew Pargas, Steven Pargas and Robert Anthony Pargas. Arrangements by the Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 3rd St. SW.

Salamon -- Mildred W. Salamon, 88, a resident of Rio Rancho since 1972, passed away on Sunday, March 21, 1999. Mildred came to New Mexico from Staten Island, New York. She was a member of the Rio Rancho United Methodist Church. Mildred had been a Private Duty Nurse before she retired. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; and her son, John. She is survived by two children, Dale Hahn of Staten Island, NY and Jean Carriaga of Albuquerque; two brothers, Robert and Carl Larson of Florida; three grandchildren, Michael, Antonio, and Solena; and one great-grandchild, Dante. A memorial service for Mildred will be held on Friday, March 26, 1999, 10:00 a.m., at the Rio Rancho United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tim Neustifter officiating.
