Blea -- Jose R. Blea, 83, a resident of Albuquerque most of his life, died Monday, August 24, 1998. He is survived by his sons, Rosendo A. Blea of Albuquerque, Richard E. Blea of California, Manuel J. Blea of Nevada, and James R. Blea of California; eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brother, Librado Blea of Cedar Crest; and sister, Alice Blea of Albuquerque. Mr. Blea was preceded in death by his wife, Josephita Trujeque Blea; and his daughter, Feliz P. Blea. he was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church. Mr. Blea was an active member of Pajarito and Armijo Senior Citizen Centers. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Bustamante -- Angela Maria Bustamante (Portillo), age 21, of Albuquerque, formerly of Santa Fe, died on Monday, August 24, 1998. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Carmen and Miguel Bustamante; and her maternal grandmother, Sara Sweeney. Angela was born in Santa Fe on September 21, 1976 to Al Bustamante and Lisa Meek. She worked as a supervisor for a security company and was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Parish. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Evie and Tanya Portillo of Albuquerque; her father, Alfred Bustamante and his wife, Nicki of Santa Fe; her mother, Lisa Meek and her husband, Jimmy of Edgewood; brothers, Christopher Meek and Alfredo E. Bustamante; sisters, Tammy Schneider and Keilani Meek; grandmother, Earla Martinez and her husband, Joe of Santa Fe; grandfather, Juan Gonzales and his wife, Cecilia of Albuquerque; grandmother, Mary M. Gonzales of Espanola; Godparents, Juan and Maria Bustamante; and aunt, Maria Ramirez and husband, Edwardo of Santa Fe; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives. Goodfellow -- Marvin Goodfellow, 91, a resident of Albuquerque since 1976, died Sunday, August 23, 1998. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Regina Goodfellow of Albuquerque; sons, Gordon M. Goodfellow and wife, Arthene of Albuquerque and Allen B. Goodfellow of Caroga Lake, NY; daughter, Shirley A. Mott and husband, Arthur of Albuquerque; son, Cliff LeBlanc of Manzano Springs, NM; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Leon V. Goodfellow and wife, Jean of Voorheesville, NY; and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Josephine in 1975. Mr. Goodfellow was raised on his father's farm. He was an advanced class amateur radio operator (WA2FMD) who loved and enjoyed life. Mr. Goodfellow built an airplane and enjoyed woodworking. He retired from General Electric and after almost 30 years of working on elevators and cranes. Gurule -- Eva Kilderry Gurule, a resident of Albuquerque for 20 years, went home to the Lord, August 22, 1998. She was born in Spencer, MA to Cordelia and Charles Jean on December 30, 1906 and lived most of her life in the Beverly-Salem-Peabody area. Eva was the beloved mother and grandmother of daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren, Linda and Lee Gurule of Albuquerque and children, Christopher and Craig; Patricia and Douglas Dash of Salem, MA and children, Terrence, Cynthia and Kevin; Frances and James Fachko of W. Seneca, NY and children, Donna, Sandra, Steven, Debra and Cheryl; 12 great-grandchildren, Jaime, Kevin and Jason, Bright, Jordan and Devin Fachko, Taylor, Austin, Anna and Emma Powers, Amy Silva, Jordan and Holly Dash; three sisters, all of MA, Cordelia Symmes, Yvonne Provost, and Imelda Fuller; one sister-in-law, also of MA, Sister Julie Kilderry, S.N.D.; and several nieces and nephews; her husband, Louis Gurule; and sisters and brothers-in-law of Albuquerque, Frances and Matt Martinez, Priscilla and Rudy Sprunk, Julia Gurule, Grace Gurule, Corrine and Gilbert Gurule and Ginny and Vincent Gurule; Louis' children, Eleanor, Patricia, Mary Jane and Jerry. Gutierrez -- Hortencia Gutierrez passed away Tuesday, August 25. She is survived by her husband, Tranquilino Gutierrez of 61 years. Also surviving are her children, Roger and Sandra Gutierrez of Silver City, Edna and Rudy Lucero of Albuquerque, Leonard and Rosalie Gutierrez of Bernalillo and Larry and Teri Gutierrez of Bernalillo; her brother, Andrew Santillanes of Albuquerque; and sister, Corrina Mora of Bernalillo; special Goddaughter, Mary Duran, who helped her to the end. Also surviving are eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Siria Salazar; and her granddaughter, Nadine Gutierrez. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated this morning, 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo. Kazimir -- George G. Kazimir, 91, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 22 years, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 1998. George was born March 13, 1907, the son of George and Frances Fenix Kazimir in Oklahoma. George was married to his lovely bride, Alice Potisek on January 11, 1941. He had worked in a machine shop for over 40 years before retiring. George was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Loucek. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Alice of Rio Rancho; two sons, George Lee Kazimir and wife, Nancy and Gary A. Kazimir and wife, Donna, all of Ohio; four granddaughters; one grandson; and four great-grandchildren. Mcgarrah -- Dorothy Lee McGarrah, 74, a resident of Albuquerque since 1973, died Tuesday, August 25, 1998. She is survived by her brothers, Michael Freeman of Houston, TX, Patrick Freeman of Rio Rancho, and Monsignor Robert Freeman of Corpus Christi, TX; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. McGarrah was an active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta. She was involved with several garden clubs in the area and she also stayed active with her sorority Delta Kappa Gamma. Miller -- Ruth Miller, 86, a resident of Albuquerque for over 35 years, died Monday, August 24, 1998. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Miller in 1996 after 48 years of marriage. She graduated from Drake University with a degree in Mortuary Science. Mrs. Miller worked with her father in the funeral business before she and her husband moved to Albuquerque in 1955. She taught bible class for a number of years at University Church of Christ. Ruth was currently a member of Montgomery Blvd. Church of Christ. Her close friends, Jerry Hayes and Frances Crawford were her family. Montoya -- Mariano G. Montoya, age 85, a resident of Bernalillo, NM, passed away on August 12, 1998 at the Colorado State Nursing Home at Walsenberg. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Mariano and Rosa Montoya; two brothers, Frank (Red) and Dick Montoya; his wife of 40 years, Marion MaQuarie Montoya; his sister-in-law, Margaret MaQuarie, both of Scotland; and a son, frank Alexander Montoya. He is survived by his daughter, Anne Woods and husband, Alex of Denver, CO; a brother, Rudy Montoya and wife, Dollie Montoya of Albuquerque; three grandchildren, Michael of Gainsville, FL, Chris of Fort Collins, CO and Ryan of Denver, CO; two nieces, Corinne of Albuquerque, Rosanna and husband, Joseph of Bernalillo; three nephews, Paul and wife, Lynn, Rick and wife, Roxie of Bernalillo and Michael of Oakland, CA; three grandnieces, Cassandra, Katelynn, and Dana Rose of Bernalillo; and several cousins. Montoya attended elementary schools in Bernalillo and Albuquerque. He attended Albuquerque High School and the University of NM, where he starred in Basketball and Track. Mariano Montoya served in the U.S. Army during World War II and participated in the invasion of France, the battle of the bulge in Belgium, and in the invasion of Germany while serving in a Tank Destroyer Battalion. Upon his discharge from the Army he accepted a position with the Rocker-feller Foundation in Venezuela, SA for a period of five years. Upon his return to the U.S., he accepted a position with the Penitentiary System at the Honor Farm at Los Lunas, NM and served there for 23 years until his retirement as a Farm Foreman and Production Manager. He also worked for several years on a part-time basis as a security officer for the K-Mart Corporation at the Carlisle store. Cremation has taken place and his remains have been placed next to those of his son, Frank at the National Cemetery, Fort Logan, CO. Should the family and friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 4600 Lincoln Rd., Albuquerque, NM. The immediate family of Mariano Montoya wishes to extend their gratitude to the personnel of the Restorative Care Unit of the Albuquerque VA Medical Center and the Colorado State Veterans Nursing Home for the excellent care they provided him. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 28, 1998, 11:00 a.m., at the Our Lady of Sorrows Church at Bernalillo, NM, with Father Virgil Furfaro officiating. Nall -- Maria J."Rita" Nall, 62, a resident of Albuquerque since 1961, died Wednesday, August 26, 1998. Roberts -- Elizabeth (Beth) Roberts, mother, wife and friend, a lifetime Albuquerque resident, passed away peacefully after living with cancer for five years, early Wednesday morning, August 26, 1998. Beth was born in Hot Springs, NM on May 9, 1943 and attended Harwood Girls School. Beth is survived by her husband of seven years, Albert Roberts, with whom she saw the world and loved with all her heart. She also was the loving mother of a daughter, Krista Page. Beth loved cooking and shopping, always looked forward to her bridge groups, and found great enjoyment in visiting and spending time with her extended circle of friends. A celebration of Beth's life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, 1998 in the New Mexico South Room at the Albuquerque Hilton Hotel on the corner of University and Menaul. Vivier -- Paul E. Vivier Sr., 86, passed away peacefully, Sunday, August 23, 1998. He is survived by two sons, Paul E. Vivier Jr. of Albuquerque and Donald G. Vivier of Encinitas, CA; two grandsons, David Vivier of Vista, CA and Daniel Vivier of Sarasota, FL; three great-grandchildren; sister, Pauline Pedercini of Albuquerque; niece, Mary Ann Maxwell of Albuquerque; two grandnephews; and two grandnieces. Paul will be remembered as a loving father who was a kind, generous and giving person, willing to help others. Paul was a gifted carpenter and woodworker who always found time to donate his services to the people in need of his talents. With his sense of humor always present, Paul truly enjoyed making people happy. He will be greatly missed by all those who loved and knew him. The family respectfully requests, that in lieu of flowers, a contribution in his memory be made to the Alzheimers Association, 1330 San Pedro NE #205, 87110.
