Manzanares -- Toby Manzanares of Rio Rancho passed away peacefully on Friday, November 30, 2001. Toby served in WWII and was employed in Los Alamos for 17 years. He retired from the NM Department of Motor Vehicle. Toby was the owner of Toby & Stella's Drive Inn in Santa Fe. He is survived by his loving wife and companion of 53 years, Stella. Toby is also survived by his daughters, Florence Perea, Suzanne Dominguez, and husband Enrique, Patricia Romero, Debra Walker and husband James; sons, Paul and wife Becky, Bobby and wife Liz, David, Larry and wife Theresa, and Mark; 23 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ernestine and husband Ernie, Clorinda and husband Tom, Reggie and husband Bob, and Stella. Toby was preceded in death by his son Melvin; mother Ofelia; and father Octaviano. Rosary will be Monday at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary-Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course, Rd., NW. (3 blocks N. of Paseo Del Norte). Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd., SE, Rio Rancho. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa FE, NM. Friends may visit French Mortuary-Westside Chapel, Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
