Opperman -- Rev. Arthur Carl Opperman, 87, a resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, May 18, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Fern Wolcott-Opperman of the family home; children Donna Hoffman of Springfield, MO, Lawrence Opperman of Littleton, CO and Billie Nelson of Albuquerque; six grandchildren, Terri Hoffman, Shelly Hoffman-Rosenthal, Gina Opperman-Liszweski, Nick Opperman, Eric Nelson and Jennifer Nelson; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Raymond Opperman of Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Hugh who was five years old. Rev. Arthur was born December 6, 1913, the third of six children. He served as pastor to four churches and was a homebuilder. Services will be held Tuesday, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rev. Ed Bicker officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
