Otero -- Mrs. Angelita T. Otero, 76, a resident of Los Lunas, New Mexico passed away peacefully at home in the arms of her loving family on May 17, 2001. Mrs. Otero is survived by three daughters, Dolores Candelaria, Margaret Otero and Charlotte Otero-Tafoya and husband Tom; one son, Joseph V. Otero; one sister Dolores Pena; two grandchildren, Tomas and Tatiana Tafoya; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Vivian Otero; her parents, Sylvestre and Julianita Tafoya; a brother, Clory Tafoya; Sister in law, Ne Tafoya; brother in law, Manuel Pena and a son in law, Ismael Candelaria Jr. Mrs. Otero was a member of the Catholic Church, Eucharist Minister, Member of the Alter Society, American Legion Auxiliary, V.F.W. Auxiliary, 40 & 8 La Femme and Sacred Heart League. A Rosary will be recited Sunday evening at 7:30 at San Clemente Catholic Church with visitation at the church after 7:00, Rosie Gonzales, reciting. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 10:00 at San Clemente Catholic Church with final viewing at the church after 9:30. Father Rick Zerwas, celebrant. Interment will follow at the San Clemente Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Tom Tafoya, Cresencio Aragon, Bart Sandoval, Manuel Sanchez, David Otero and Max Morrison. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Tomas Tafoya, Tatiana Tafoya, Ramon Sandoval, Eddie Gonzales, Pete McKinney and Fidel Aragon. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd SW in charge of the arrangements.
