Funeral Services for John Anthony Spinelli of Gallup, NM will be held on Saturday, may 19, 2001 at the mass-Sacred Heart Cathedral at 10:00 a.m. with Father Walter Opalewski officiating. Burial will be at the Sunset Memorial Park, Gallup, NM. He died on May 10, 2001 at Gallup, NM. He was born on January 18, 1923 at Gallup, NM. Mr. Spinelli retired after 35 years of service with the City of Gallup Water Department. He was a member of the following organizations, Past Exalted Ruler and District Deputy of the BPOE-Elks Lodge 1440, 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Principi Luigi Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Cooties, Volunteer Fire Fighter. He was also a World War II Veteran who received a Purple heart for being a USS Indianapolis Survivor. Visitation will be at Rosary-Sacred Heart Cathedral on Friday May 18, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. He is survived by his daughter, Bruna Bezek of Gallup, NM; daughter, Marge Tomada of Gallup, NM, daughter, Esther Wiley of Anchorage, AK; he is also survived by ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Spinelli; father, Nino Spinelli; mother, Esterina Spinelli; son, Nino John Spinelli; grandson, Edward Montoya. Pallbearers will be Peter Basgal, John Hiskey, Michael Hiskey, Nino Spinelli, III, Robert Spinelli, Brian Tomada and mark Tomada.
