Herrera -- Mrs. Lugardita Herrera (Grandma Lou), born in San Antonito, NM, died Wednesday in Albuquerque at the age of 86. She was a member of San Felipe de Neri Church. Mrs. Herrera is preceded in death by her parents, Alejandro and Rosalia Herrera, son, Cristobal Ruiz, grandson, Louis Ruiz, brothers, Tomas Herrera, Bernardo Herrera and Fermin Herrera. She is survived by her sons, Narciso, Richard, Raymond and wife, Isabell and Albert Ruiz; daughters, Suzanna Zamora of Los Lunas, Eufelia Ruiz; granddaughter, Rose Casias; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Memorial Services for Mrs. Herrera will be held on Saturday, at Holy Child Church in Carnuel, NM where the Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Burial of the cremated remains will take place at Carnuel Cemetery. A Memorial Rosary will be held on Friday at 7:00 p.m. at San Felipe Church. Arrangements by Salazar & Sons Mortuary,400 Third St. SW.
