Rogers -- Betty Kerr Rogers, 58 entered into eternal rest July 20. She is survived by her husband of more than 38 years, Joe Rogers, their daughters and spouses, Sherri and Gerry Corley, Michele and Peter Rivas; and one son, Mack Rogers of Texas; nine grandchildren, Nicole, Rachel and Bobby Matson, Caitlyn and Gwendolyn Corley, Mack's son, Christopher, Celeste, Peter and Timothy Rivas. She also leaves a sister, Carol Kerr Lopez (Blue) and nephew, Travis Kerr. Betty came to Albuquerque in 1962 with the U.S. Women Army Corps. And made New Mexico her home for most of the next 30 years. She was a skilled medical transcriber and is fondly remembered by friends and former co-workers in N.M. and East Texas where she and Joe have resided for the past 10 years. We know her body has succumbed to the ravages of cancer but her spirit and her wry sense of humor lives on in those near and dear to her. Via Condios. Services will be held at Calvary Lutheran Church in Rio Rancho, NM, 11:00 a.m. July 25, 2001. The family wishes to thank all the wonderful people on 4D, at the V.A. Hospital in Alb.
