I wish that we could talk again and begin a brand new day. I wish somehow I could have seen what the future had in store. I wish I could have said good-bye. I love you and so much more. I never dreamed I'd lose you, that the Lord would take you away. No matter how I cried in vain he couldn't let you stay, but now you're gone and I am here. How I wish that wasn't true. For now it's time to close the door and quietly walk away, but always remember, "My Dear Alice," I love you today and every day! "Gone but never forgotten!"
