Garcia -- Lois V. Garcia, 91, a lifetime resident of New Mexico died, Sunday, March 18, 2001. She is survived by her children; son, Gabe Garcia and wife, Jo Ann of Albuquerque; daughter, Marina Gelpe and husband, Joel; son, Frank R. Garcia; daughter, Rose Echevaria and husband, Richard of California; and daughter, Catherine Garcia also of California; grandchildren, Sean, Sunshine, Alaina, and Stephen Garcia, Nanette Kautz, Nick Aiello, Elizabeth Smiley, and Frances and Jordan White; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Edna Wilton of Albuquerque; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews. Lois was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank V. Garcia and Leo Benetti; two sisters; and nice brothers. She was formally a resident of Taos, NM for many years and Hollywood, CA. A prayer service will be held Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary-Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd., NW. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 833 Arizona, SE. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Yale Blvd.
