Duran -- Marcella M. Duran died Oct. 13, 2001. She was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio J. Duran, her parents, Roman and Theresa Montoya, one brother, Orlando "Reno" Montoya, two sisters, Helen Cortez and Edwina Gomez and son-in-law, Terry Ishmael. She is survived by one son, Anthony J. Duran and wife, Nora and a daughter, Carmen Ishmael. She is also survived by one brother, Elias "Toad" Montoya and four sisters, Elena Rico Crawford, Emma Chavez and husband, Eddie, Lillian Salazar and husband, Mel, and Priscilla Montoya; one sister-in-law, Nancy Montoya; two brothers-in-law, Esequel Duran and wife, Helen, and Ralph Duran and wife, Mary Jane; three grandchildren, Melissa, Antonio and Carlos and two great- grandchildren, Teri and Chance; and many other nieces and nephews. She was a lifetime member of Sacred Heart parish belonging to many ministries. She also belonged to the Bernalillo County Democratic Women's Organization, she was a life-member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 13 and a 30 year member of the Barelas Center ceramics club. Pallbearers will be Antonio Duran, Carlos Duran, Mario C. Rico, Craig Lucero, Sammy Gomez, Roman Montoya and Edward Chavez. Honorary pallbearers will be her many friends. A Rosary will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated Tuesday and interment will be at Santa Fe National Cemetary.
