Abeyta -- Mr. Manuel A. Abeyta Sr., 78, a resident of Albuquerque passed away at home with his loved ones at his side. Mr. Abeyta is survived by six sons, Dan Abeyta and wife, Hilda, Ted Abeyta and wife, Terri, Andy Abeyta, Manny A. Abeyta Jr. and wife, Margaret, Marty S. Abeyta and wife, Mona, Vincent Abeyta and wife, Jean; two brothers, Al Trujillo, Jerry Trujillo and wife, Debbie; three sisters, Betty Pacheco, Deanna Del Rosario and husband, Lou and Mary Lacey; all of Vallejo, CA; His loving and caring companion,, Mary C. Weis; Special and beautiful cousins, Gracie Herrera and Nea Gurule-Wolfel; thirteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Abeyta was a member of the Catholic Church, A veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during WWII from which be received the Purple Heart."Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who can make our soul blossom." Dad was our charming gardner. Visitation will be Monday afternoon in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and after 6:30 p.m. in the St. FrancIs Xavier Church, 817 Arno SE with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00. Final visitation will be Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. by Father Manuel Fernandez. Committal Service will be Wednesday afternoon in the Santa Fe National Cemetery with full military honors, time to be announced. Pallbearers will be Danny Abeyta Jr., Aaron Abeyta, Travis Abeyta, J.R. Abeyta, Al Trujillo and Ramon Herrera. Honorary pallbearers will be Crystal Abeyta, Maria Abeyta, Gus Romero and Toni Pacheco. Gabaldon Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
