Valverde -- Mrs. Delilia Patricia (Perea) Valverde, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, won her battle with cancer surrounded by family and friends. She was called home to be in the presence of Jesus on Friday, March 2, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. She is survived by her husband, Daniel; sons, Clinton, Christopher and Antonio; granddaughter, Shannon; sisters, Filomena Cordova, Margarita Cline, Vicky Werner and Mary Chavez; brothers, Ignacio Perea, Teofilio Perea, Jr., Bobby Perea, Richard Perea and Thomas Perea. She is now reunited with her parents, Teofilio and Trinidad Perea, who resided in Corrales, NM. Rosary will be recited Monday, March 5, 2001, 7:00 p.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd. NE. Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, March 6, 2001, 9:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery with an auto procession to the cemetery immediately following the Mass. A reception will be held upon return to Albuquerque at the lower-level meeting room of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Pallbearers will be Helen Flores, Rita Ortega, Isabel Guillen, Delfina Maestas, Anita Garcia and Carlotta Fischer. Honorary pallbearers will be all of the Altar Rosary Society members from St. Bernadette Catholic Church. The family wishes to express their gratitude for all of the prayers, cards, letters and flowers during the difficult period. For the vigils, the family wants to personally thank, Cipy DeVargas, Helen Flores, Isabel Guillen, Sally Hoffman, and Rita Ortega.
