Bird -- Georgia Hartman Bird, 101, a resident of Albuquerque since 1947, died on Tuesday, February 27, 2001. She is survived by her daughters, Irene Squires and husband Bill of Enid, OK, Norma Brewster and husband, Vernon of Albuquerque, and Wilma Sullivan of Albuquerque; granddaughters, Patricia Eubank, Laura Wallin and husband, Scott, and Lee Ann Sullivan; grandsons, Bob Squires and wife, Carolyn, David Squires and wife, Nancy, Steve Brewster, and Mike Sullivan and wife, Ruth; by ten great-grandchildren and by great-great twins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat on November 29, 1977. Georgia was born February 5, 1900 to John and ¯Lottie¯ Hartman on a farm 5 miles north of Breckenridge, Oklahoma that had been homesteaded by her father in 1893. She married Pat Bird on October 16, 1921 and the couple had three daughters. Georgia was a member of Central United Methodist Church and was an avid rug hooker and China painter. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. We will all miss her, but it¯s comforting to know she is at peace with God in Heaven. Services will be held Saturday, March 3, 2001, 11:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming NE with Dr. Charles Crutchfield, officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Friends may visit Friday, March 2, 2001 from 3:00 p.m. -5:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming NE. Interment to follow at Sandia Memory Gardens, 9500 San Pedro NE. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
