Jaramillo -- Mrs. Dorothy Mae Jaramillo, 61, a resident of Los Lunas, New Mexico passed away on September 21, 2001. Mrs. Jaramillo is the beloved wife of 30 years to Mr. Alberto Jaramillo. She is also survived by seven daughters, Carmenlita Busby and husband Wayne, Viola Benally and husband Lee, Victoria Denetclaw, Albertina Jaramillo, Judy Lovato and husband Eli, Noel Gutierrez and boy friend James, Sandra Abeyta and husband Randy; eight sons, Paul Denetclaw Jr. and wife Martha, Chris Jaramillo, Frank Maldonado and wife Ruth, Marcial Jaramillo and wife Yvette, Manuel Jaramillo and wife Sheri, Robert Jaramillo and wife Frances, Ross Jaramillo and wife Dorothy and Jeff Jaramillo; four sisters, Diane Smith, Phyllis Smith King and husband Ernie, Florence Dick and husband Andrew and Yvonne Denetclaw; five brothers, Dr. Phillip Smith M.D. and wife Joann, Donald Smith and wife Joann, Leonard Smith, George Smith, Albert Smith and wife Helen; 38 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Jaramillo was a member of the Catholic Church. She was so proud of her two brothers Albert and George Smith they were Navajo Code Talkers for World War II. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos NW with a Rosary to be recited at 3:00 by Edgar Torres. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 at Our Lady of Gudalupe Catholic Church with final visitation at the church after 9:30. Father Joe Vigil, celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Chris Jaramillo, Frank Maldonado, Marcial Jaramillo, Eli Lovato, Ross Jaramillo, Robert Jaramillo and Randy Abeyta. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd SW in charge of the arrangements.
