Schum -- Paula Marie Schum, 47, a resident of Albuquerque since 1958, died on Monday, February 5, 2001 after a long battle with congestive heart failure. She is survived by her parents, William M. and Doris Schum of Albuquerque; siblings, Michael Schum and wife, Kathryn of Davis, CA, Steve Schum and wife, Tessie of Albuquerque, Timothy Schum and wife, Mary of Milwaukee, WI, Kathy Becker and husband, Fred, Susie Kane and husband, Dennis, Lisa Ferguson and husband, Dean, and Kevin Schum and wife, Amy, all of Albuquerque; and by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Despite her many health problems Paula persevered to complete her Liberal Arts Degree at TVI in December and received her diploma on February 5, 2001. She was a retired nun from the Sisters of Charity of Rolling Hills, CA. Paula was a very loving daughter, sister, and aunt. A Rosary will be recited Thursday, February 8, 2001, 7:00 p.m. at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated Friday, February 9, 2001, 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Risen Savior, Father Richard Olona celebrating. Private family entombment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael, Steve, Timothy and Kevin Schum, Fred Becker and Dean Ferguson and Honorary Pallbearer, Dennis Kane.
