Meyer -- Col. Erwin A. Meyer, Jr., (U.S.A.F. Ret.), passed away Saturday, February 3, 2001 in Albuquerque, NM. He and his wife moved to Albuquerque in 1971 to retire after a 30 year career as an Air Force Officer. Following retirement, Col. Meyer taught R.O.T.C. at Del Norte High School. He also served as a volunteer lifeguard with the Red Cross at Kirtland A.F.B. in the swim therapy program. Survivors include Sydna C. Meyer, his wife of 57 years; his daughter, Sandra J. Walden and husband, Chauncey of Denver, CO; and his son, Michael E. Meyer, of San Diego, CA; as well as many dear friends. Private interment with military honors has taken place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials may be made to a charity of choice. Sunrise Society is serving the family of Col.
