Mares -- Victoria �Vicki� Mares, 40, a resident of Grants, NM., passed away Monday, February 5, 2001. She was preceded in death by her son, Oracio Mares Jr., father, Charles Hammond, and sister, Sue Price. Vicki is survived by her husband, Oracio Mares; daughters, Tonia Hammond and husband, Cory Vela, and Tara Ann Mares; son, Tomas Charles Mares; mother, Marjorie Hammond; granddaughters, Elisha and Audrey Chavez; sister, Phyllis Gutierrez and husband, Ellie, and Charlene La Sage; nieces, Melinda Sanchez and husband, Lawrence, and Deann Hickey; nephews, Clark Dodd and Greg Hickey; sisters-in-law, Della and husband, George, Yolanda Apodaca, Stella Padilla; brother-in-law, Cliff and wife, Patsy; sisters-in-law, Michelle and husband, Ernie, Jessica Mares; brothers-in-law Raymond and wife Joyce, Julio Apodaca, and Richard Mares; sisters-in-law, Frances and Helen. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and devoted wife. She was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew her. A viewing will be held before the funeral services in the Chapel of Mt. Calvary Cemetery from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Services will follow in the Chapel of Mt. Calvary Cemetery at 12:00 noon on Friday, February 9, 2001, with Burial in the cemetery.
