Frindt -- Ralph Andrew Frindt, 74, a resident of Albuquerque for 50 years, passed away February 4, 2001 after a courageous battle with cancer. Ralph served in the U.S. Army as an MP for four years and retired from IBM after 26 years of service. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, and woodworker, loved to travel, and loved a good party. His wife, Phyllis Jean Frindt, with whom he celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in October 2000, survives him. Other survivors include his daughters, Marybeth Whitehead, and husband, Chuck of Albuquerque, Beverly Frindt of Denver, CO; son-in-law, Howard Sylvester; two grandchildren, Amanda Sylvester of Canyon City, CO, and Nick Whitehead of Albuquerque; two sisters, Helen Nichols and Margaret Kader; and numerous other loved ones and friends. A daughter, Pam Sylvester and two brothers, Art and Edward Frindt preceded him in death. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kaseman Hospice. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2001, 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Methodist Church, 9500 Constitution NE.
