Flowers -- Lucy Flowers, passed away February 5, 2001. She was born in Anton Chico, NM, and resided in Albuquerque for the past 30 years. Lucy was a founding member of Risen Savior Church, and served in Marriage Enrichment, Eucharistic Ministry, Palomas Nursing Home Ministry, Ladies Outreach, Ladies Sojourners, visitation and communion serving ministry to the ill and home bound, and she was also involved in the Knights of Columbus. Faithfully, even during illness, she participated in the monthly lunch for the Lord. Lucy never met a stranger. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Howard Flowers; daughter, Deborah Sandoval and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Michael Sandoval and wife, Alicia, Nancy Robles and husband, Mervyn; great-grandchildren, Austin, Shawn, Shelby, and Seth; sister, Mary Bernardy and husband, Hank; niece, Mary Ann Perea; nephew, Wilfred Bernardy; other family and a host of friends who loved and will miss her. Services will be held in Albuquerque and Anton Chico. Services in Albuquerque will be held at Risen Savior Catholic Church, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 6, 2001. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2001. Following services in Albuquerque, a Visitation and Rosary will be held at St. Joseph Church in Anton Chico at 3:00 p.m. also on Wednesday, February 7, 2001. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sandia Hospice for their love and care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
