Dominguez -- Joaquin Dominguez, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother was called home to be with the Lord our Savior, on the early morning of Tuesday, March 11, 2003. Joaquin was a resident of Bernalillo. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Lena Dominguez of the family home; his children, Barbara Maestas and husband, Donald, Gerry Gleason and husband, Gary, and Greg Dominguez and wife, Kim; nine grandchildren, Jack and Donna Maestas, Michael, Wendy and Amy Gleason, Janan, Jeremy, Jordon and Michael Dominguez; two great-grandchildren, Patrick Nasworthy and Madison Bianco. Also surviving are two brothers, Dan Dominguez and wife Chana, Serafin Dominguez and wife, Dolores; three sisters, Cerilia Salas and husband, Eustaqio, Susie Chavez and Cindy Dominguez; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Joaquin will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those who knew and loved him. Visitations for Mr. Dominguez will be held Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00 a.m. also at the church, with the Reverend Virgil Furfaro as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Martin Salas, Lawrence Salas, Danny Dominguez, Dennis Chavez and John Patrick Garcia. Honorary bearer will be Philimon Aguilar. For floral assistance, please call 898-3160.
