Chavez -- Mr. Estanislado (Tommy) Chavez Sr. a resident of Albuquerque passed away on February 15, 2003 with his loving family by his side. Mr. Chavez is the beloved husband of 48 years to Mrs. Frances Julia De Chavez. Mr. Chavez is the loving father to his nine children, Tom Chavez Jr. and wife, Erica, Irma Ramirez and husband, Lito, Darlene Romero and husband, Porfirio, Denise Nevarez and husband, Guillermo, Lupita Chavez, Gloria Chavez and husband, Jesus, Mona Baca and husband, Gene, Jude Vallez and wife Charlotte and Charlie Valdez; 32 grandchildren, Stephanie, Tom Noah, April Griego, Christine. Rudy, Adam, Krystal, Michael, Manuel, Kassandra, Abraham Raymond, Val, Corine, April Chavez, Dennis, Matthew, Renee, Delilah Jr., Alexandra, Steven, Andrew, Lisa, Gino, Moses, Elijah, Julian, Nicole, Christopher, Maria and Marissa; great grandchildren, Isaiah, D'Marco, Izrael, Leandra, Britney, Suzanne, Darian, Izerri, Sonrisa, Marriah, Angelia and Kyle. Mr. Chavez was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Chavez. Mr. Chavez was a Veteran of the U.S. Army-Air Force and served in World War II. Mr. Chavez received 2 Purple Hearts and many other medals for serving his country. Mr. Chavez was in the auto-body business, he loved his work and was very good at it. A visitation for Mr. Chavez will be Wednesday morning from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Rd SW with a Funeral Service to be held at 11:00 a.m. by Pastor Ken Moore. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetry with Military Honors. Pallbearers will be Tom J. Chavez Jr., Rudy Ramirez, Adam Ramirez, Michael Romero, Manuel Romero, Raymond Nevarez, Dennis Marquez and Julian Vallez. Arrangements by: GABALDON MORTUARY 1000 OLD COORS RD SW 243-7861
