Train -- Our treasured father, grandfather, and husband, Walter Thomas"Choo Choo" Train, 79, a resident of Albuquerque since 1964, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2003 after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Daisy May, whom he married on June 6, 1953; daughters, Karen Bernardini and husband, Joseph of Boston, MA; Paula Cranmore of Albuquerque and Sandra Jarrett and husband, Danny of Albuquerque; son, John Train and wife, Angela; grandsons, John, Jeff, Joshua, Stephen, Alexander, Kristopher, and Nicolas; granddaughters, Crystal, Ashley, Jocelyn, Angela, and Mercedes; and great-grandchildren, Dominic, Angelic, and Alexis. Walter was born on August 7, 1923 in Dearborn, MI. He was a Sergeant Major in the United States Marine Corps for 30 years before retiring in 1971. He served our country in World War II, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam War. Walter will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those who knew and loved him. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Thursday, January 23, 2003, 12:00 noon, to 2:00 p.m. Services will be held Thursday, January 23, 2003, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, with Pastor Bruce Wilder officiating. Interment will take place Friday, January 24, 2003, 10:00 a.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Train, Danny Jarrett, Kristopher Kemper, John Cranmore, Jeff Cranmore, Joshua Cannon, and Stephen Train. There will be an open house Friday, January 24, 2003, 12:00 noon at Sandra and Danny Jarrett's home, 10915 Haines NE.
