Lujan -- Alfonso D. Lujan peacefully passed away on January 21, 2003, after a bout with cancer. He was born on July 1, 1933. Alfonso is preceded in death by son, Jerry Lujan; sisters, Carmen Lujan and Lucille Baca; and brother, Leon Lujan. He is survived by fiancee, Bertha Quinones; daughter, Karol Salazar and husband, Tim; son, Daniel Lujan; and daugher-in-law, Sue Lujan. He is also survived by sisters, Andrea Lujan, Berlinda Lujan, Christina Lujan-Bonds and husband, Chuck; and brother, Raymond Lujan and wife, Flora. He is survived by eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Alfonso retired as District Chief from the Albuquerque Fire Department after 25 years. He was active in several church choirs as guitar player and also played with a Mariachi band. Rosary will be recited on Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. at Risen Savior Church, 7701 Wyoming NE. Memorial Services will take place on Friday at Risen Savior Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will take place at the Veterans Cemetery in Santa Fe following the services.
