Centers -- Leita R. Centers went to be with the Lord, Saturday, January 18, 2003 at the age of 88. She was born in Carson City, MI in 1914 and a New Mexico resident of over 84 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Centers in 1969. She is survived by one brother, Jack R. Smith; sister, Edith Lanning; daughters, Helen Lester, Barbara Jennings and her husband, Ray S; son, Carl O. Centers and his wife, Linda; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. A private family service will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2003. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be sent to your favorite charity. Cremation arrangements by the Sunrise Society.
