Lane -- Helen Lorraine Lane passed away January 15, 2003. She is a fourth great-granddaughter of David Crockett who died in 1836 at the Alamo. Helen retired from the Department of Interior, Bureau of Land Management as a Section Chief in 1975. She served on the Governor's Committee to investigate the Correctional Facilities of New Mexico, was a member of the Pilot Club International, had a roomful of trophies for ballroom dancing and public speaking. She was a longtime member of Toastmistress International. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman V. Lane; parents, Harry Livezey and Maude E. Beard Livezey; sister, Vera Thompson Barclay; brother, Robert William Thompson; niece, Kathryn Ann Thompson. She is survived by her nephew, Richard Lee Thompson and wife, Carol Jean; great-nephew, Glenn Ray Thompson; great-nieces, Karen Denise Thompson and Beverly Sue Thompson Griffith; cousins, Roger Dickerson, David Dickerson and Leon Dickerson. Helen was a unit treasure and a longtime dedicated member of Unity Santa Fe. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Unity Santa Fe Building Fund, 1108 La Cuchara Rd., Santa Fe, NM, 87506. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Unity Santa Fe, 1108 La Cuchara Rd., located near intersection 599 (mile marker 12) and Camino de Las Montoyas. Rev.
