Sholer -- William J. Sholer age 76, of Moore, OK was born October 11, 1925 in Prague, OK to William N. and Myrtle Sholer. William graduated from the Oklahoma University School of Law and was a retired Attorney having practiced for 35 years in Albuquerque where he was a longtime resident. William served his country in the U.S. Navy serving in WWII. He was active in the First United Methodist Church in Albuquerque where he had taught High School Sunday School. William poured his life and soul into Boy Scouts. He was awarded the Silver Beaver and the Silver Antelope. William passed away on January 6, 2003 in Oklahoma City, OK. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Chris and Jeanie Sholer of Edmond, OK; daughter and son-in-law, Claudia and Michael Yoselow of Edmond, OK; brother and sister-in-law, Don and Marge Sholer of Lubbock, TX; sisters, and brother-in-law, Nita Collins of Hugo, OK and Pat and Steve Corley of Okmulgee, OK; and grandchildren, Jane, Tim and Carla. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Great Southwest Council of Boy Scouts of America 4851 Office Blvd. NE Albuquerque, NM 87109. Services are 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 9, 2003 in Matthews Funeral Home Chapel, Edmond, OK with interment at 4:00 p.m. at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta, OK. Services under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home.
