Martinez -- Aniceta C. Martinez, age 87, beloved mother and grandmother was welcomed into the arms of the Lord our Savior, Wednesday, March 5, 2003, while surrounded by her loving family. Aniceta was preceded in death by her husband Luis Martinez; two sons, Fidel and Francisco Martinez. She is survived by her loving children, Rudy, Rufino and wife, Maria, Lewis and wife, Patsy, Chris and wife, Carol, Julius and wife, Michelle, Brian, Mary Louise, Melinda, Mary Jane, Linda, Grace, and Michelle Martinez; her precious grandchildren, Allen Rey, Toni Marie, Rachelann, Renee, Kristine, Michael Lewis, Chyenne, Alexander, and Yvette; her great-grandchildren, Kayla Marie, Leaha, Marissa, Santiago, and David. Visitations for Aniceta will be Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited Thursday evening at 8:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 a.m. also at the church. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery in Bernalillo. Casket bearers will be Aniceta's sons, Rudy, Rufino, Lewis, Chris, Julius, and Brian Martinez. For floral assistance, please call 898-3160.
